Psalmi 37
1 Nemoj se žestiti gledajuæi nevaljale, nemoj zavidjeti onima koji èine bezakonje.
David’s. [An Alphabetical Psalm.] Burn not with vexation because of evil-doers, Be not envious of the workers of perversity;
2 Jer se kao trava brzo kose, i kao zeleno bilje venu.
For, like grass, soon shall they wither, and, like green herbage, shall they fade.
3 Uzdaj se u Gospoda i tvori dobro; živi na zemlji i hrani istinu.
Trust in Yahweh, and do good, Dwell in the land, and feed on fidelity;
4 Tješi se Gospodom, i uèiniæe ti što ti srce želi.
Yea, rest thy delight on Yahweh, that he may give thee the requests of thy heart.
5 Predaj Gospodu put svoj, i uzdaj se u njega, on æe uèiniti.
Roll on Yahweh thy way, Trust also in him, and, he, will effectually work:
6 I izvešæe kao vidjelo pravdu tvoju, i pravicu tvoju kao podne.
So will he bring forth, as the light, thy righteousness, and thy vindication as the noonday.
7 Osloni se na Gospoda, i èekaj ga. Nemoj se žestiti gledajuæi koga gdje napreduje na putu svojem, èovjeka, koji radi što namisli.
Be resigned to Yahweh, yea wait with longing for him; Burn not with vexation at him who prospereth in his way, —at the man who doeth wickedness.
8 Utišaj gnjev, i ostavi jarost; nemoj se dražiti da zlo èiniš.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath, Burn not with vexation—[it would be] only to do evil;
9 Jer æe se istrijebiti koji èine zlo, a koji èekaju Gospoda naslijediæe zemlju.
For, evil doers, shall be cut off, but, as for them who wait for Yahweh, they, shall inherit the earth.
10 Još malo, pa neæe biti bezbožnika; pogledaæeš na mjesto njegovo, a njega nema.
Yet a little, therefore, and the lawless one shall not be, Yea thou shalt look about, over his place—and he shall have vanished!
11 A smjerni æe naslijediti zemlju, i naslaðivaæe se množinom mira.
But, the patient oppressed-ones, shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves over the abundance of prosperity.
12 Zlo misli bezbožnik pravedniku, i škrguæe na nj zubima svojim.
Plotting is the lawless one, against the just, and gnashing upon him with his teeth.
13 Ali mu se Gospod smije, jer vidi da se primièe dan njegov.
My Lord, shall laugh at him, for he seeth, that his day, will come.
14 Maè potežu bezbožnici, zapinju luk svoj, da obore ubogoga i ništega i pokolju one koji idu pravim putem.
A sword, have the lawless, drawn out, and have trodden their bow, —To bring down the oppressed and the needy, To slaughter the upright in life:
15 Maè æe njihov udariti u njihovo srce, i lukovi njihovi polomiæe se.
Their sword, shall enter into their own heart, and, their bow, shall be broken.
16 Bolje je malo u pravednika nego bogatstvo mnogih bezbožnika.
Better the little of the righteous man, than the abundance of the lawless who are mighty;
17 Jer æe se mišice bezbožnicima potrti, a pravednike utvrðuje Gospod.
For, the arms of the lawless, shall be broken, But Yahweh is upholding the righteous.
18 Zna Gospod dane bezazlenima, i dio njihov traje dovijeka.
Yahweh knoweth the days of the blameless, that, their inheritance, unto times age-abiding, shall continue.
19 Neæe se postidjeti u zlo doba, u dane gladne biæe siti.
They shall not be ashamed in the time of calamity, and, in the days of famine, shall they be filled.
20 A bezbožnici ginu, i neprijatelji Gospodnji kao ljepota šumska prolaze, kao dim prolaze.
For, the lawless, shall perish, and, the foes of Yahweh, be like the glory of the meadows, They have vanished! In smoke, have they vanished!
21 Bezbožnik uzaima i ne vraæa, a pravednik poklanja i daje.
A lawless man borroweth, and will not repay, But, a righteous man, showeth favour and giveth;
22 Jer koje on blagoslovi, oni naslijede zemlju, a koje on prokune, oni se istrijebe.
For, such as are blessed of him, shall inherit the earth, But, the cursed of him, shall be cut off.
23 Gospod utvrðuje korake svakoga èovjeka i mio mu je put njegov.
From Yahweh, are the steps of a man made firm, When, with his way, he is well pleased:
24 Kad posrne da padne, neæe pasti, jer ga Gospod drži za ruku.
Though he fall, he shall not be hurled headlong, For, Yahweh, is holding his hand.
25 Bijah mlad i ostarjeh, i ne vidjeh pravednika ostavljena, ni djece njegove da prose hljeba.
Young, have I been, moreover am old, —Yet have I not seen, A righteous man forsaken, Nor his seed begging bread:
26 Svaki dan poklanja i daje u zajam, i na natražju je njegovu blagoslov.
All day long, is he showing favour and lending, his seed, therefore, shall have a blessing.
27 Uklanjaj se oda zla, i èini dobro, i živi dovijeka.
Turn from evil, and do good, and so settle down, unto times age-abiding.
28 Jer Gospod ljubi pravedni sud, i ne ostavlja svetaca svojijeh; uvijek se oni èuvaju; a pleme æe se bezbožnièko istrijebiti.
For, Yahweh, loveth justice, and will not forsake his men of lovingkindness, Unto times age-abiding, have the perverse been destroyed, —and the seed of the lawless, been cut off.
29 Pravednici æe naslijediti zemlju, i živjeæe na njoj dovijeka.
The righteous, shall inherit the earth, that they may settle down, to futurity, thereupon.
30 Usta pravednikova govore mudrost, i jezik njegov kazuje istinu.
The mouth of a righteous man, softly uttereth wisdom, and, his tongue, speaketh justice:
31 Zakon je Boga njegova njemu u srcu, stopala se njegova ne spotièu.
The law of his God, is in his heart, his steps shall not swerve.
32 Bezbožnik vreba pravednika, i traži da ga ubije;
The lawless man, lieth in wait, for the just, and seeketh to put him to death:
33 Ali ga Gospod neæe pustiti u ruke njegove, niti æe dati da ga okrive kad se stanu suditi.
Yahweh, will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him, when he is judged.
34 Èekaj Gospoda i drži se puta njegova, i on æe te postaviti da vladaš zemljom; vidjeæeš kako æe se istrijebiti bezbožnici.
Wait for Yahweh, and observe thou his path, that he may exalt thee, to inherit the earth, On the cutting off of the lawless, shalt thou look.
35 Vidjeh bezbožnika strašna koji se raširivaše kao granato drvo;
I have seen a lawless man, a tyrant, and spreading himself out, like a cedar in Lebanon;
36 Ali proðe, i evo nema ga; tražim ga i ne nahodim.
Then I passed by, and lo! he had vanished! Yea I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Hrani èistotu i pazi pravdu, jer æe u èovjeka mirna ostati natražje.
Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright, for there is a hereafter for the man of peace;
38 A bezakonika æe nestati sasvijem; natražje æe se bezbožnièko zatrti.
But, transgressors, are to be destroyed together, the hereafter of lawless men, is to be cut off.
39 Od Gospoda je spasenje pravednicima; on je krjepost njihova u nevolji.
But, the deliverance of the righteous, is from Yahweh, their refuge in a time of distress.
40 Gospod æe im pomoæi, i izbaviæe ih; izbaviæe ih od bezbožnika, i saèuvaæe ih, jer se u njega uzdaju.
Thus hath Yahweh helped them, thus hath he delivered them, —He will deliver them from the lawless, and will save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
