Psalmi 34
1 Blagosiljam Gospoda u svako doba, hvala je njegova svagda u ustima mojima.
א I will bless Adonai at all times. His tehilah ·praise song· will always be in my mouth.
2 Gospodom se hvali duša moja; neka èuju koji stradaju, pa neka se raduju.
בּ My soul shall boast in Adonai. The humble shall sh'ma ·hear obey· it, and be glad.
3 Velièajte Gospoda sa mnom, uzvišujmo ime njegovo zajedno.
גּ Oh magnify Adonai with me. Let us exalt his name together.
4 Tražih Gospoda, i èu me, i svijeh nevolja mojih oprosti me.
דּ I sought Adonai, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Koji u njega gledaju prosvjetljuju se, i lica se njihova neæe postidjeti.
ה They looked to him, and were radiant. Their faces shall never be covered with shame.
6 Ovaj stradalac zavika, i Gospod ga èu, i oprosti ga svijeh nevolja njegovijeh.
ז This poor man cried, and Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed· him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 Anðeli Gospodnji stanom stoje oko onijeh koji se njega boje, i izbavljaju ih.
ח Ha mal'ak Yahweh [The Angel of He sustains breathing] encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
8 Ispitajte i vidite kako je dobar Gospod; blago èovjeku koji se uzda u nj.
ט Oh taste and see that Adonai is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 Bojte se Gospoda, sveti njegovi; jer koji se njega boje, njima nema oskudice.
י Oh fear Adonai, you his saints, for there is no lack with those who fear him.
10 Lavovi su ubogi i gladni, a koji traže Gospoda, ne premièe im se nijednoga dobra.
כּ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Adonai shall not lack any good thing.
11 Hodite, djeco, poslušajte me; nauèiæu vas strahu Gospodnjemu.
ל Come, you children, sh'ma ·hear obey· unto me. I will teach you the fear of Adonai.
12 Koji èovjek želi života, ljubi dane da bi vidio dobro?
מ Who of you takes pleasure in living? Who 'ahav ·affectionately loves· a long life to see good things?
13 Ustavljaj jezik svoj oda zla, i usta svoja od prijevarne rijeèi.
נ [If you do], keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from deceiving talk;
14 Kloni se oda zla, i èini dobro, traži mira i idi za njim.
ס turn from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and fervently pursue it!
15 Oèi su Gospodnje obraæene na pravednike, i uši njegove na jauk njihov.
ע For Adonai’s eyes are toward the upright. His ears listen to their prayers.
16 Ali je strašno lice Gospodnje za one koji èine zlo, da bi istrijebio na zemlji spomen njihov.
פּ But Adonai’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.
17 Vièu pravedni, i Gospod ih èuje, i izbavlja ih od svijeh nevolja njihovijeh.
צ The upright cry, and Adonai sh'ma ·hears obeys·, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 Gospod je blizu onijeh koji su skrušena srca, i pomaže onima koji su smjerna duha.
ק Adonai is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
19 Mnogo nevolje ima pravednik, ali ga od svijeh izbavlja Gospod.
ר Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Adonai delivers him out of them all.
20 Èuva Gospod sve kosti njegove, nijedna se od njih neæe slomiti.
שׁ He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.
21 Bezbožnika ubiæe zlo, i koji nenavide pravednika prevariæe se.
תּ Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the upright shall be condemned guilty.
22 Gospod iskupljuje dušu sluga svojih, i koji se god u njega uzdaju, neæe se prevariti.
Adonai redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned guilty.
