Psalmi 33
1 Veselite se pravednici pred Gospodom; pravednima dolikuje slaviti.
Shout for joy, ye righteous, in Yahweh, To the upright, seemly is praise.
2 Slavite Gospoda guslama, udarajte mu u psaltir od deset žica.
Give ye thanks unto Yahweh with the lyre, With a harp of ten strings, make ye music unto him.
3 Pjevajte mu pjesmu novu, složno udarajte podvikujuæi;
Sing unto him, a song that is new, With skill, sweep the strings, with loud noise.
4 Jer je prava rijeè Gospodnja, i svako djelo njegovo istinito.
For right is the word of Yahweh, and, all his work, is in faithfulness:
5 On ljubi pravdu i sud, dobrote je Gospodnje puna zemlja.
Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.
6 Rijeèju Gospodnjom nebesa se stvoriše, i duhom usta njegovijeh sva vojska njihova.
By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made, and, by the spirit of his mouth, all their host:
7 Kao u gomilu sabra vodu morsku, i propasti metnu u spreme.
Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.
8 Nek se boji Gospoda sva zemlja, i neka strepi pred njim sve što živi po vasiljenoj;
Let all the earth, stand in awe of Yahweh, Of him, be in dread, all ye inhabitants of the world;
9 Jer on reèe, i postade; on zapovjedi, i pokaza se.
For, he, spake, and it was, He, commanded, and it stood forth.
10 Gospod razbija namjere neznabošcima, uništava pomisli narodima.
Yahweh, hath frustrated the counsel of nations, hath brought to nothing the devices of peoples.
11 Namjera je Gospodnja tvrda dovijeka, misli srca njegova od koljena na koljeno.
The counsel of Yahweh, to times age-abiding, shall stand, The devices of his heart, from generation to generation.
12 Blago narodu, kojemu je Bog Gospod, plemenu, koje je on izabrao sebi za naslijeðe.
How happy the nation whose God is, Yahweh, The people he hath chosen as his own inheritance!
13 S neba gleda Gospod, vidi sve sinove ljudske;
Out of the heavens, hath Yahweh looked, He hath seen all the sons of men:
14 S prijestola, na kome sjedi, pogleda na sve koji žive na zemlji.
Out of his settled place of abode, hath he fixed his gaze on all the inhabitants of the earth:
15 On je stvorio sva srca njihova, on i zna sva djela njihova.
Who fashioneth their heart all together, Who understandeth all their doings.
16 Neæe pomoæi caru velika (sila) neæe zaštititi jakoga velika snaga;
Not a king, can be saved by greatness of force, nor, hero, deliver himself by greatness of strength:
17 Nije u konju uzdanje da æe pomoæi; ako mu je i velika snaga, neæe izbaviti.
A deception, is the horse, for victory, and, by his great strength, shall he not deliver.
18 Gle, oko je Gospodnje na onima koji ga se boje, i na onima koji èekaju milost njegovu.
Lo! the eye of Yahweh, is toward them who revere him, unto such as are waiting for his lovingkindness:
19 On æe dušu njihovu izbaviti od smrti, i prehraniti ih u gladne godine.
To rescue, from death, their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Duša se naša uzda u Gospoda; on je pomoæ naša i štit naš.
Our own soul, hath waited for Yahweh, Our help and our shield, is he!
21 O njemu se veseli srce naše; jer se u sveto ime njegovo uzdamo.
For, in him, shall our heart rejoice, For, in his holy Name, have we trusted.
22 Da bude milost tvoja, Gospode, na nama, kao što se uzdamo u tebe.
Be thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, upon us, According as we have waited for thee.
