Psalmi 16
1 Èuvaj me, Bože; jer se u te uzdam.
A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.
2 Rekoh Gospodu: ti si Gospod moj, nemam dobra osim tebe.
Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.
3 U svetima koji su na zemlji i u velikima sva je utjeha moja.
It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight
4 Neka drugi umnožavaju idole svoje, neka trèe k tuðima; ja im neæu ljevati krvavih naljeva, niti æu metnuti imena njihovijeh u usta svoja.
They multiply their idols—another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.
5 Gospod je moj dio našljedstva i èaše; ti podižeš dostojanje moje.
Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.
6 Uže mi je zahvatilo prekrasna mjesta, i dio mi je moj mio.
The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.
7 Blagosiljam Gospoda, koji me urazumljuje; tomu me i noæu uèi što je u meni.
I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, —Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.
8 Svagda vidim pred sobom Gospoda: on mi je s desne strane da ne posrnem.
I have set Yahweh before me continually, because he is on my right hand, I shall not be shaken!
9 Toga radi raduje se srce moje, i veseli se jezik moj, još æe se i tijelo moje smiriti u uzdanju;
Therefore, hath my heart rejoiced, and mine honour exulted, Yea, my flesh, shall settle down securely;
For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption: (Sheol h7585)
11 Pokazaæeš mi put životni: obilje je radosti pred licem tvojim, utjeha u desnici tvojoj dovijeka.
Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, —Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
