Psalmi 149

1 Pojte Gospodu pjesmu novu; hvala da mu je na saboru svetijeh.

Alleluia. Sing to the Lord a new song. His praise is in the Church of the saints.

2 Neka se veseli Izrailj o stvoritelju svom, sinovi Sionski nek se raduju o caru svom.

Let Israel rejoice in him who made them, and let the sons of Zion exult in their king.

3 Neka hvale ime njegovo poklikujuæi, u bubanj i gusle neka mu udaraju.

Let them praise his name in chorus. Let them sing psalms to him with the timbrel and the psaltery.

4 Jer je mio Gospodu narod njegov, ukrašava smjerne spasavajuæi ih.

For the Lord is well pleased with his people, and he will exalt the meek unto salvation.

5 Nek se vesele sveci u slavi, i nek se raduju na posteljama svojim.

The saints will exult in glory. They will rejoice upon their couches.

6 Slava je Božija u ustima njihovijem, i maè s obje strane oštar u ruci njihovoj,

The exultations of God will be in their throat, and two-edged swords will be in their hands:

7 Da se osvete narodima, i pokaraju plemena;

to obtain vindication among the nations, chastisements among the peoples,

8 Da svežu careve njihove u lance, i vlastelu njihovu u okove gvozdene,

to bind their kings with shackles and their nobles with manacles of iron,

9 I izvrše na njima napisani sud. Ova je èast svima svecima njegovijem. Aliluja!

to obtain judgment over them, as it has been written. This is glory for all his saints. Alleluia.
