Psalmi 148

1 Hvalite Gospoda na nebesima, hvalite ga na visini.

Alleluia, [a Psalm] of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise you the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the highest.

2 Hvalite ga, svi anðeli njegovi, hvalite ga, sve vojske njegove!

Praise you him, all his angels: praise you him, all his hosts.

3 Hvalite ga, sunce i mjeseèe, hvalite ga, sve zvijezde sjajne!

Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you stars and light.

4 Hvalite ga, nebesa nad nebesima i vodo nad nebesima!

Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens.

5 Neka hvale ime Gospodnje, jer on zapovjedi i stvoriše se.

Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.

6 Postavi ih zasvagda i zavavijek, dade naredbu, koja neæe proæi.

He has established them for ever, even for ever and ever: he has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away.

7 Hvalite Gospoda na zemlji, velike ribe i sve bezdane;

Praise the Lord from the earth, you serpents, and all deeps.

8 Oganj i grad, snijeg i magla, vjetar silni, koji izvršuje rijeè njegovu,

Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy wind; the things that perform his word.

9 Gore i svi humovi, rodna drveta i svi kedri,

Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 Zvijeri i sva stoka, bubine i ptice krilate,

wild beasts, and all cattle; reptiles, and winged birds:

11 Carevi zemaljski i svi narodi, knezovi i sve sudije zemaljske,

kings of the earth, and all peoples; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 Momci i djevojke, starci i djeca,

young men and virgins, old men with youths:

13 Neka hvale ime Gospodnje; jer je samo njegovo ime uzvišeno, slava njegova na zemlji i na nebu.

let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name only is exalted; his praise is above the earth and heaven,

14 On je uzvisio rog naroda svojega, slavu svijeh svetaca svojih, sinova Izrailjevih, naroda, koji je blizu njega.

and he shall exalt the horn of his people, [there is] a hymn for all his saints, [even] of the children of Israel, a people who draw near to him.
