Psalmi 136
1 Slavite Gospoda, jer je dobar; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
2 Slavite Boga nad bogovima; jer je dovijeka milost njegova.
Thank God, the one who is greater than all other gods; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
3 Slavite gospodara nad gospodarima; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
Thank the Lord who is greater than all other lords/rulers; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
4 Onoga, koji jedan tvori èudesa velika; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the only one who performs great miracles; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
5 Koji je stvorio nebesa premudro; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who by being very wise created the heavens; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
6 Utvrdio zemlju na vodi; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who caused the ground to rise up above the deep waters; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
7 Stvorio velika vidjela; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who created great lights [in the sky]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
8 Sunce, da upravlja danom; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He created the sun to shine in the daytime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
9 Mjesec i zvijezde, da upravljaju noæu; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He created the moon and stars to shine during the nighttime; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
10 Koji pobi Misir u prvencima njegovijem; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who killed the firstborn [males] in Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
11 Izvede iz njega Izrailja; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He led the Israeli people out of Egypt; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
12 Rukom krjepkom i mišicom podignutom; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
With his (strong hand/great power) he led them out; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
13 Koji razdvoji Crveno More; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who caused the Red Sea to divide; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
14 I provede Izrailja kroz sred njega; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He enabled the Israeli people to walk through it [on dry land]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
15 A Faraona i vojsku njegovu vrže u More Crveno; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
But he caused the king of Egypt and his army to drown in it; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
16 Prevede narod svoj preko pustinje; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who led his people [safely through the desert]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
17 Pobi careve velike; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He killed powerful kings; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
18 I izgubi careve znatne; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He killed kings who were famous; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
19 Siona cara Amorejskoga; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He killed Sihon, the king of the Amor people-group; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
20 I Oga cara Vasanskoga; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He killed Og, the king of Bashan [region]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
21 I dade zemlju njihovu u dostojanje; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He gave their lands to us, his people; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
22 U dostojanje Izrailju, sluzi svojemu; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He gave those lands to us people of Israel, who serve him; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
23 Koji nas se opomenu u poniženju našem; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who did not forget about us when we were defeated [by our enemies]; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
24 I izbavi nas od neprijatelja naših; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He rescued us from our enemies; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
25 Koji daje hranu svakomu tijelu; jer je dovijeka milost njegova;
He is the one who gives food to all living creatures; his faithful love [for us] endures forever.
26 Slavite Boga nebeskoga; jer je dovijeka milost njegova.
[So] thank God, [who lives in] heaven, [for all those things], because his faithful love [for us] endures forever!
