Psalmi 116
1 Milo mi je što Gospod usliši molitveni glas moj;
I 'ahav ·affectionately love· Adonai, because he sh'ma ·hears obeys· my voice, and my cries for mercy.
2 Što prignu k meni uho svoje; i zato æu ga u sve dane svoje prizivati.
Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol ·Place of the dead· got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
4 Ali prizvah ime Gospodnje: Gospode! izbavi dušu moju!
Then I called on Adonai’s name: “Adonai, I beg you, deliver my soul.”
5 Dobar je Gospod i pravedan, i Bog je naš milostiv;
Adonai is gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is racham ·merciful love·.
6 Èuva proste Gospod; bijah u nevolji, i pomože mi.
Adonai preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.
7 Vrati se, dušo moja, u mir svoj! jer je Gospod dobrotvor tvoj!
Teshuvah ·Completely return· to your rest, my soul, for Adonai has dealt bountifully with you.
8 Ti si izbavio dušu moju od smrti, oko moje od suza, nogu moju od spoticanja.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9 Hodiæu pred licem Gospodnjim po zemlji živijeh.
I will walk before Adonai in the land of the living.
10 Vjerovah kad govorih: u ljutoj sam nevolji.
I trusted, therefore I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”
11 Rekoh u smetnji svojoj: svaki je èovjek laža.
I said in my haste, “All men are liars.”
12 Šta æu vratiti Gospodu za sva dobra što mi je uèinio?
What will I give to Adonai for all his benefits toward me?
13 Uzeæu èašu spasenja, i prizvaæu ime Gospodnje.
I will take the cup of yishu'ah ·salvation·, and call on Adonai’s name.
14 Izvršiæu obeæanja svoja Gospodu pred svijem narodom njegovijem.
I will pay my vows to Adonai, yes, in the presence of all his people.
15 Skupa je pred Gospodom smrt svetaca njegovijeh.
Precious in Adonai’s sight is the death of his saints.
16 O Gospode! ja sam sluga tvoj, ja sam sluga tvoj, sin sluškinje tvoje; raskovao si s mene okove moje.
Adonai, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your servant. You have freed me from my chains.
17 Žrtvu za hvalu prinijeæu tebi, i ime Gospodnje prizvaæu.
I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on Adonai’s name.
18 Izvršiæu obeæanja svoja Gospodu pred svijem narodom njegovijem,
I will pay my vows to Adonai, yes, in the presence of all his people,
19 U dvoru doma Gospodnjega, usred tebe, Jerusalime. Aliluja!
in the courts of Adonai’s house, in the middle of you, Jerusalem [City of peace]. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
