Psalmi 112

1 Blago èovjeku koji se boji Gospoda, kome su veoma omiljele zapovijesti njegove.

Praise Yahweh! (Happy are/He is pleased with) those who revere him, those who happily obey his commands.

2 Silno æe biti na zemlji sjeme njegovo, rod pravednièki biæe blagosloven.

Their children will prosper in their land; and their descendants will be blessed [by God].

3 Obilje je i bogatstvo u domu njegovu, i pravda njegova traje dovijeka.

Their families [MTY] will be very wealthy [DOU], and [the results of] their righteous deeds will endure forever.

4 U tami sjaje vidjelo pravednicima od dobroga, milostivoga i pravednoga.

Godly/Righteous people are [like] lights [SIM] that shine in the darkness on those who are kind, merciful and righteous.

5 Blago onome koji je milostiv i daje u zajam! On æe dati tvrðu rijeèima svojim na sudu.

Things [will] go well for those who generously lend money to others and who conduct their businesses honestly.

6 Jer neæe posrnuti dovijeka, pravednik æe se spominjati uvijek.

Righteous people will not be overwhelmed/worried/distressed [because of their troubles], and they will never be forgotten [by other people].

7 Ne boji se zla glasa; srce je njegovo stalno, uzda se u Gospoda.

They are not afraid of [receiving] bad news; they confidently/completely trust in Yahweh.

8 Utvrðeno je srce njegovo, neæe se pobojati, i vidjeæe kako padaju neprijatelji njegovi.

They are confident and not afraid, because they know that they will see [God defeat] their enemies.

9 Prosipa, daje ubogima; pravda njegova traje dovijeka, rog se njegov uzvišuje u slavi.

They give things generously to poor/needy [people]; [the results of] their kind deeds will endure forever, and they [will] be exalted and honored.

10 Bezbožnik vidi i jedi se, škrguæe zubima svojim, i sahne. Želja æe bezbožnicima propasti.

Wicked people see those things and are angry; they gnash their teeth [angrily], but they [will] disappear [and die]. The [wicked] things that they want to do [will] never happen.
