< Poslovice 13 >
1 Mudar sin sluša nastavu oca svojega; a potsmjevaè ne sluša ukora.
A wise son listeneth to the instruction of his father; But a scoffer listeneth not to rebuke.
2 Od ploda usta svojih svaki æe jesti dobro, a duša nevaljalijeh ljudi nasilje.

By pride cometh only contention; But with the well-advised is wisdom.
11 Blago koje se taštinom teèe umaljava se, a ko sabira rukom, umnožava.

Poverty and shame are for him who rejecteth instruction; But he that regardeth reproof shall come to honor.
19 Ispunjena je želja slast duši, a bezumnima je mrsko otstupiti oda zla.
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; But it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.
20 Ko hodi s mudrima postaje mudar, a ko se druži s bezumnicima postaje gori.
He who walketh with wise men shall be wise; But the companion of fools shall be destroyed.
21 Grješnike goni zlo, a pravednicima se vraæa dobro.
