< Nehemija 11 >
1 I naseliše se knezovi narodni u Jerusalimu, a ostali narod meta ždrijeb da uzmu jednoga od deset da sjedi u Jerusalimu svetom gradu, a ostalijeh devet dijelova po drugim gradovima.
The [Israeli] leaders [and their families] settled in the sacred city, Jerusalem. The other people (cast lots/threw marked stones) to determine which family from each ten families would live in Jerusalem. The other people continued to live in the other towns and cities [in Judea].
2 I blagoslovi narod sve ljude koji sami od svoje volje pristaše da sjede u Jerusalimu.
Those people [asked God to] bless those who volunteered to [be among the 10% who] moved to Jerusalem.
3 Ovo su glavari zemaljski koji se naseliše u Jerusalimu, a po ostalijem gradovima Judejskim nastaniše se svaki na svojem našljedstvu po gradovima svojim Izrailjci, sveštenici i Leviti, Netineji i sinovi sluga Solomunovijeh:
[Some of] the priests, [some of] the [other] descendants of Levi, [some of] the temple workers, and the descendants of King Solomon’s servants, and many of the other people lived on their own property in the towns [where their ancestors had lived].
4 U Jerusalimu dakle naseliše se neki od sinova Judinijeh i Venijaminovijeh: od sinova Judinijeh: Ataja sin Ozije, sina Zaharije, sina Amarije, sina Sefatije, sina Maleleilova, od sinova Faresovijeh;
But some people from the tribes of Judah and Benjamin [decided to] live in Jerusalem. One of them from the tribe of Judah was Athaiah. He was the son of Uzziah, who was the son of Zechariah, who was the son of Amariah, who was the son of Shephatiah, who was the son of Mahalalel, who was a descendant of [Judah’s son] Perez.
5 I Masija sin Varuha sina Holoze sina Azaje, sina Adaje, sina Jojariva, sina Zaharije, sina Silonijeva;
[Another one from the tribe of Judah was] Maaseiah, [who was] the son of Baruch, [who was] the son of Colhozeh, [who was] the son of Hazaiah, [who was] the son of Adaiah, [who was] the son of Joiarib, [who was] the son of Zechariah, [who was] a descendant of [Judah’s son] Shelah.
6 Svega sinova Faresovijeh što se naseliše u Jerusalimu, èetiri stotine i šezdeset i osam hrabrijeh ljudi;
There were 468 men who were descendants of Perez who were valiant/courageous soldiers who lived in Jerusalem.
7 A izmeðu sinova Venijaminovijeh: Saluj sin Mesulama, sina Joada, sina Fedaje, sina Kolaje, sina Masije, sina Itila, sina Isaijina,
[One of the men] of the tribe of Benjamin who decided to live in Jerusalem was Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.
8 I za njim Gavaj, Salaj, devet stotina i dvadeset i osam;
Two of Sallu’s relatives, Gabbai and Sallai, also settled in Jerusalem. Altogether, 928 people from the tribe of Benjamin settled in Jerusalem
9 A Joilo sin Zihrijev bješe nad njima, a Juda sin Senujin bješe drugi nad gradom;
Their leader was Joel, son of Zichri. The official who was second in command in Jerusalem was Hassenuah.
10 Od sveštenika: Jedaja sin Jojarivov, Jahin,
The priests [who settled in Jerusalem] were Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jakin,
11 Seraja sin Helkije, sina Mesulama, sina Sadoka, sina Merajota, sina Ahitovova, starješina u domu Božijem,
Seraiah, the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub [who had previously been] the Supreme Priest.
12 A braæe njihove što služahu u domu osam stotina i dvadeset i dva; i Adaja sin Jeroama, sina Felalije, sina Amsija, sina Zaharije, sina Pashora, sina Malhijina,
Altogether, 822 members of that clan worked in the temple. Another [priest who settled in Jerusalem] was Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah.
13 I braæe njegove glavara u domovima otaèkim dvjesta i èetrdeset i dva; i Amasaj sin Azareila, sina Azaja, sina Mesilemota, sina Imirova,
Altogether, there were 242 members of that clan who were leaders of the clan [who settled in Jerusalem]. Another [priest who settled in Jerusalem] was Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer.
14 I braæe njihove hrabrijeh ljudi sto i dvadeset i osam, a nad njima bješe Zavdilo sin Gedolimov;
There were 128 members of that clan who were valiant soldiers [who settled in Jerusalem]. Their leader was Zabdiel the son of Haggedolim.
15 I od Levita: Semaja sin Asuva sina Azrikama, sina Asavije, sina Vunijeva;
Another descendant of Levi who settled in Jerusalem was Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni.
16 I Savetaj, i Jozavad bijahu nad poslom spoljašnjim za dom Božji izmeðu glavara Levitskih,
Two others were Shabbethai and Jozabad, who were prominent men who supervised the work outside the temple.
17 A Matanija sin Mihe sina Zavdija sina Asafova bijaše poglavar koji poèinjaše hvale u molitvi, i Vakvukija drugi izmeðu braæe svoje, i Avda sin Salije sina Galala sina Jedutunova;
Another one was Mattaniah, the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph. Mattaniah directed the temple choir when they sang the prayers to thank [God]. His assistant was Bakbukiah. Another one was Abda, the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
18 Svega Levita u svetom gradu bješe dvije stotine i osamdeset i èetiri;
Altogether, there were 284 descendants of Levi who settled in Jerusalem.
19 A od vratara: Akuv, Talmon, i braæe njihove što èuvahu stražu na vratima, sto i sedamdeset i dva;
The men who guarded the temple gates were Akkub and Talmon and 172 of their relatives who settled in Jerusalem.
20 A ostatak naroda Izrailjeva, sveštenika i Levita bješe po svijem gradovima Judinijem, svak na svom našljedstvu.
The other Israeli people including priests and [other] descendants of Levi lived on their own property in other towns and cities in Judea.
21 A Netineji naseliše se u Ofilu, i Siha i Gispa bjehu nad Netinejima.
But the temple workers lived on Ophel [Hill in Jerusalem]. They were supervised by Ziha and Gishpa.
22 A nad Levitima u Jerusalimu bješe Ozije sin Vanija, sina Asavije, sina Matanije, sina Mišina. Izmeðu sinova Asafovijeh pjevaèi bijahu u službi za dom Božji.
The man who supervised the [other] descendants of Levi who [helped the priests and] lived in Jerusalem was Uzzi, the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica. Uzzi belonged to the clan of Asaph, the clan that was in charge of the music in the temple.
23 Jer bješe careva zapovijest za njih i bješe odreðena plata pjevaèima za svaki dan.
The king [of Persia] had commanded that the clans should decide what each clan should do to lead the music in the temple each day.
24 I Petaja sin Mesizaveilov od sinova Zare sina Judina bješe mjesto cara za svaki posao s narodom.
Pethahiah, the son of Meshezabel, [who was] from the clan of Zerah and a descendant of Judah, was the ambassador [of the Israelis] to the king of Persia.
25 A po selima i poljima njihovijem neki od sinova Judinijeh nastaniše se u Kirijat-Arvi i zaseocima njezinijem, i u Divonu i zaseocima njegovijem, i u Jekavseilu i selima njegovijem,
Some of the people [who did not settle in Jerusalem] lived in villages close to their farms. Some from the tribe of Judah lived in villages near Kiriath-Arba, Dibon, and Jekabzeel [cities].
26 I u Jesuji i Moladi i Vet-Feletu,
Some lived in Jeshua [city], in Moladah [city], in Beth-Pelet [city],
27 I u Asar-Sualu i Virsaveji i zaseocima njezinijem,
in Hazar-Shual [city], and in Beersheba [city] and the villages near it.
28 I u Siklagu i u Mekoni i zaseocima njezinijem,
Others lived in Ziklag [city], in Meconah [city] and the villages near it,
29 I u En-Rimonu i u Sareji i u Jarmutu,
in En-Rimmon [city], in Zorah [city], in Jarmuth [city],
30 U Zanoji, u Odolamu i selima njihovijem, u Lahisu s poljem njegovijem, u Azici i zaseocima njezinijem. I tako se naseliše od Virsaveje do doline Enoma.
in Zanoah [city], in Adullam [city], and in the villages near those cities. Some lived in Lachish [city] and in the nearby villages, and some lived in Azekah [town] and the villages near it. All of those people lived in Judea, in the area between Beersheba [in the south] and Hinnom Valley [in the north, at the edge of Jerusalem].
31 A sinovi Venijaminovi naseliše se od Gavaje u Mihmasu i Aji i Vetilju i zaseocima njegovijem,
The people of the tribe of Benjamin lived in Geba [city], Micmash [city], Aija [city which is also known as Ai], Bethel [city] and in nearby villages,
32 U Anatotu, u Novu, u Ananiji,
in Anathoth [city], in Nob [city], in Ananiah [town],
33 U Asoru, u Rami, u Gitajimu,
in Hazor [city], in Ramah [city], in Gittaim [city],
34 U Adidu, u Sevojimu, u Nevalatu,
in Hadid [city], in Zeboim [town], in Neballat [town],
35 U Lodu, u Ononu, i u dolini drvodjeljskoj.
in Lod [town], in Ono [town], and in Craftsmen’s Valley.
36 A Leviti podijeliše se meðu Judom i Venijaminom.
Some of the groups of the descendants of Levi who had lived in Judea were sent to live with [the people of the tribe of] Benjamin.
