Naum 1
1 Breme Nineviji; knjiga od utvare Nauma Elkošanina.

2 Bog je revnitelj i Gospod je osvetnik; osvetnik je Gospod i gnjevi se; Gospod se sveti protivnicima svojim, i drži gnjev prema neprijateljima svojim.
[is] a God Jealous and avenging Yahweh [is] avenging Yahweh and a lord of rage [is] avenging Yahweh to opponents his and [is] maintaining he to enemies his.
3 Gospod je spor na gnjev i velike je moæi; ali nikako ne pravda krivca; put je Gospodnji u vihoru i buri, i oblaci su prah od nogu njegovijeh.
Yahweh [is] long of anger (and great of *Q(K)*) power and certainly not he will leave unpunished Yahweh [is] in storm-wind and in storm way his and [is] cloud [the] dust of feet his.
4 Zapreæuje moru i isušuje ga, i sve rijeke isušuje, vene Vasan i Karmil, i cvijet Vasanski vene.
[he is] rebuking the Sea and he made dry it and all the rivers he dries up it withers Bashan and Carmel and [the] blossom of Lebanon it withers.
5 Gore se tresu od njega, i humovi se rastapaju, a zemlja gori pred njim i vasiljena i sve što živi u njoj.
Mountains they quake from him and the hills they melt and it lifted up the earth from before him and [the] world and all [those who] dwell in it.
6 Pred gnjevom njegovijem ko æe se održati? i ko æe se oprijeti jarosti gnjeva njegova? jarost se njegova izlijeva kao oganj, i stijene se raspadaju pred njim.
Before indignation his who? will he stand and who? will he endure at [the] burning of anger his rage his it is poured out like fire and the rocks they are pulled down from him.
7 Dobar je Gospod, grad je u nevolji, i poznaje one koji se uzdaju u nj.
[is] good Yahweh a refuge in a day of trouble and [he is] knowing [those who] take refuge in him.
8 Ali æe silnom poplavom uèiniti kraj mjestu njezinu, i tama æe goniti neprijatelje njegove.
And with a flood [which] passes over complete destruction he will make place its and enemies his he will pursue darkness.
9 Šta smišljate Gospodu? on æe uèiniti kraj; neæe se dva puta podignuti pogibao.
Whatever you will plot! against Yahweh complete destruction he [will be] making not it will arise two times trouble.
10 Jer kao trnje spleteni i kao od vina pijani proždrijeæe se kao suha slama.
For to thorns interwoven and like drink their drunkards they will be consumed like stubble dry full.
11 Iz tebe je izašao koji smišlja zlo Gospodu, savjetnik nevaljao.

12 Ovako veli Gospod: ako i jesu u sili i mnogo ih ima, opet æe se isjeæi i proæi. Muèio sam te, neæu te više muèiti.
Thus - he says Yahweh though complete and thus numerous and thus they will be cut down and he will pass away and I have afflicted you not I will afflict you again.
13 Nego æu sada slomiti jaram njegov s tebe, i pokidaæu tvoje okove.
And now I will break yoke-bar his from on you and fetters your I will tear apart.
14 Ali za tebe zapovjedi Gospod da se ne sije više ime tvoje; iz doma bogova tvojih istrijebiæu likove rezane i livene; naèiniæu ti od njega grob kad budeš prezren.

15 Eto, na gorama noge onoga koji nosi dobre glase, koji oglašuje mir. Praznuj, Juda, svoje praznike, ispunjaj zavjete svoje, jer zlikovac neæe više prolaziti po tebi; sasvijem se zatro.
