Malahija 4
1 Jer, gle, ide dan, koji gori kao peæ, i svi æe ponositi i svi koji rade bezbožno biti strnjika, i upaliæe ih dan koji ide, veli Gospod nad vojskama, i neæe im ostaviti ni korijena ni grane.
For lo! the day, cometh, that burneth as a furnace, —and, all the proud and everyone who worketh lawlessness, shall be, stubble, and the day that cometh, shall consume them utterly, saith Yahweh of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 A vama, koji se bojite imena mojega, granuæe sunce pravde, i zdravlje æe biti na zracima njegovijem, i izlaziæete i skakaæete kao teoci od jasala.
So shall the sun of righteousness, arise to you who revere my Name, with healing in his wings, —and ye shall come forth and leap for joy like calves let loose from the stall;
3 I izgaziæete bezbožnike, jer æe oni biti pepeo pod vašim nogama u dan kad ja uèinim, veli Gospod nad vojskama.
And ye shall tread down the lawless, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, —in the day when I am working with effect, saith Yahweh of hosts.
4 Pamtite zakon Mojsija sluge mojega, kojemu zapovjedih na Horivu za svega Izrailja uredbe i zakone.
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, —which I commanded him in Horeb, for all Israel, statutes and regulations.
5 Evo, ja æu vam poslati Iliju proroka prije nego doðe veliki i strašni dan Gospodnji;
Lo! I am sending unto you Elijah the prophet, —before the coming of the great and awful day of Yahweh;
6 I on æe obratiti srce otaca k sinovima, i srce sinova k ocima njihovijem, da ne doðem i zatrem zemlju.
And he shall bring back the heart of the fathers unto the children, and the heart of the children unto their fathers, —lest I come, and smite the land, with utter destruction.
