Jovanu 15
1 Ja sam pravi èokot, i otac je moj vinogradar;
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman:
2 Svaku lozu na meni koja ne raða roda otsjeæi æe je; i svaku koja raða rod oèistiæe je da više roda rodi.
every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away, and every one that beareth fruit, He purgeth, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Vi ste veæ oèišæeni rijeèju koju vam govorih.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Budite u meni i ja æu u vama. Kao što loza ne može roda roditi sama od sebe ako ne bude na èokotu, tako i vi ako u meni ne budete.
Abide therefore in me, and I will abide in you: for as the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 Ja sam èokot a vi loze: i koji bude u meni i ja u njemu on æe roditi mnogi rod: jer bez mene ne možete èiniti ništa.
I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, beareth much fruit: but without me ye can do nothing.
6 Ko u meni ne ostane izbaciæe se napolje kao loza, i osušiæe se, i skupiæe je, i u oganj baciti, i spaliti.
If any one abide not in me, he is cast out as a useless branch and withereth: and they gather them up, and throw them into the fire, and they are burnt.
7 Ako ostanete u meni i rijeèi moje u vama ostanu, šta god hoæete ištite, i biæe vam.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you.
8 Tijem æe se otac moj proslaviti, da rod mnogi rodite; i biæete moji uèenici.
Herein is my father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.
9 Kao što otac ima ljubav k meni, i ja imam ljubav k vama; budite u ljubavi mojoj.
As the Father hath loved me, and I have loved you, continue in my love:
10 Ako zapovijesti moje uzdržite ostaæete u ljubavi mojoj, kao što ja održah zapovijesti oca svojega i ostajem u ljubavi njegovoj.
and if ye keep my commandments ye will continue in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and continue in his love.
11 Ovo vam kazah, da radost moja u vama ostane i radost vaša se ispuni.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you may continue, and that your joy may be full.
12 Ovo je zapovijest moja da imate ljubav meðu sobom, kao što ja imadoh ljubav k vama.
This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Od ove ljubavi niko veæe nema, da ko dušu svoju položi za prijatelje svoje.
Greater love hath no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends:
14 Vi ste prijatelji moji ako tvorite što vam ja zapovijedam.
and ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you.
15 Više vas ne nazivam slugama; jer sluga ne zna šta radi gospodar njegov: nego vas nazvah prijateljima; jer vam sve kazah što èuh od oca svojega.
I no longer stile you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for whatsoever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
16 Vi mene ne izbraste, nego ja vas izbrah, i postavih vas da vi idete i rod rodite; i da vaš rod ostane, da što god zaištete u oca u ime moje da vam da.
Ye did not first choose me, but I chose you, and have appointed you to go forth, and bear fruit, and that your fruit should be lasting: that whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name, He may give it you.
17 Ovo vam zapovijedam da imate ljubav meðu sobom.
These commands I give you, that ye should love one another.
18 Ako svijet na vas uzmrzi, znajte da na mene omrznu prije vas.
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first.
19 Kad biste bili od svijeta, onda bi svijet svoje ljubio: a kako nijeste od svijeta, nego vas ja od svijeta izbrah, zato mrzi na vas svijet.
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Opominjite se rijeèi koju vam ja rekoh: nije sluga veæi od gospodara svojega. Ako mene izgnaše, i vas æe izgnati; ako moju rijeè održaše, i vašu æe održati.
Remember what I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours.
21 Ali sve æe vam ovo èiniti za ime moje, jer ne poznaju onoga koji me posla.
But all these things will they do unto you, on my account, because they know not Him that sent me.
22 Da nijesam bio došao i govorio im ne bi grijeha imali; a sad izgovora neæe imati za grijeh svoj.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 Koji mrzi na mene i na oca mojega mrzi.
He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.
24 Da nijesam bio djela tvorio meðu njima kojijeh niko drugi ne tvori, ne bi grijeha imali: a sad i vidješe, i omrznuše na mene i na oca mojega.
If I had not done among them such works as no other ever did, they had not comparatively had sin: but now they have both seen, and hated, both me and my Father.
25 Ali da se zbude rijeè napisana u zakonu njihovom: omrznuše na mene ni za što.
But thus it is that the word might be fulfilled, which is written in their law, they hated me without a cause.
26 A kad doðe utješitelj, koga æu vam poslati od oca, Duh istine, koji od oca izlazi, on æe svjedoèiti za mene.
But when the comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, (even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, ) He shall testify of me.
27 A i vi æete svjedoèiti, jer ste od poèetka sa mnom.
And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
