Jovanu 12
1 A Isus prije pashe na šest dana doðe u Vitaniju gdje bješe Lazar što umrije, koga podiže iz mrtvijeh.
Jesus, therefore, six days before the passover, came unto Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from among the dead.
2 Ondje mu pak zgotoviše veèeru, i Marta služaše, a i Lazar sjeðaše s njim za trpezom;
So they made for him a supper, there; and, Martha, was ministering, but, Lazarus, was one of them who were reclining with him.
3 A Marija uzevši litru pravoga nardova mnogocjenoga mira pomaza noge Isusove, i otr kosom svojom noge njegove; a kuæa se napuni mirisa od mira.
Mary, therefore, taking a pound of pure nard perfume, very precious, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped, with her hair, his feet; and, the house, was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4 Onda reèe jedan od uèenika njegovijeh, Juda Simonov Iskariotski, koji ga poslije izdade:
[But] Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples, he that was about to deliver him up, saith—
5 Zašto se ovo miro ne prodade za trista groša i ne dade siromasima?
Why was, this perfume, not sold for three hundred denaries, and given unto the destitute?
6 A ovo ne reèe što se staraše za siromahe, nego što bješe lupež, i imaše kovèežiæ, i nošaše što se metaše u nj.
Howbeit he said this, not that, for the destitute, he cared, but because, a thief, he was, and holding, the bag, used to carry away, what was cast therein.
7 A Isus reèe: ne dirajte u nju; ona je to dohranila za dan mojega pogreba;
Jesus, therefore, said—Let her alone, that, for the day of my burial, she may observe it;
8 Jer siromahe svagda imate sa sobom, a mene nemate svagda.
For, the destitute, always, have ye with you, whereas, me, not always, have ye.
9 Razumje pak mnogi narod iz Judeje da je ondje i doðoše ne samo Isusa radi nego i da vide Lazara kojega podiže iz mrtvijeh.
The great multitude of the Jews, therefore, got to know that he was, there, and came, not on account of Jesus only, but that, Lazarus also, they might see, whom he had raised from among the dead.
10 A glavari sveštenièki dogovoriše se da i Lazara ubiju;
But the High-priests took counsel, that Lazarus also, they might put to death;
11 Jer mnogi njega radi iðahu iz Judeje i vjerovahu Isusa.
because, many of the Jews, by reason of him, were withdrawing, and believing on Jesus.
12 A sjutradan mnogi od naroda koji bješe došao na praznik, èuvši da Isus ide u Jerusalim
On the morrow, the great multitude that had come unto the feast, hearing that Jesus was coming into Jerusalem,
13 Uzeše grane od finika i iziðoše mu na susret, i vikahu govoreæi: osana! blagosloven koji ide u ime Gospodnje, car Izrailjev.
took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and began crying aloud—Hosanna! Blessed is he that is coming in the name of the Lord, —even the King of Israel!
14 A Isus našavši magare usjede na nj, kao što je pisano:
And Jesus, finding a young ass, took his seat thereon, just as it is written—
15 Ne boj se kæeri Sionova, evo car tvoj ide sjedeæi na magaretu.
Do not fear, O daughter of Zion! Lo! thy king, cometh, sitting upon the colt of an ass.
16 Ali ovo uèenici njegovi ne razumješe prije: nego kad se proslavi Isus onda se opomenuše da ovo bješe za njega pisano, i ovo mu uèiniše.
These things, his disciples noticed not, at the first; but, when Jesus was glorified, then, remembered they that, these things, had, for him, been written, —and that, these things, they had done unto him.
17 A narod svjedoèaše koji bješe prije s njim kad Lazara izazva iz groba i podiže ga iz mrtvijeh.
The multitude, therefore, that was with him when he called, Lazarus, out of the tomb, and raised him from among the dead, was bearing witness.
18 Zato ga i srete narod, jer èuše da on uèini ovo èudo.
On this account, the multitude met him also, because they heard that he had done, this sign.
19 A fariseji govorahu meðu sobom: vidite da ništa ne pomaže? gle, svijet ide za njim.
the Pharisees, therefore, said among themselves—Ye observe that ye are profiting nothing: See! the world, after him, hath gone away.
20 A bijahu neki Grci meðu onima koji bijahu došli na praznik da se mole Bogu.
Now there were certain Greeks, from among them who were coming up that they might worship in the feast.
21 Oni dakle pristupiše k Filipu, koji bješe iz Vitsaide Galilejske, i moljahu ga govoreæi: gospodine! mi bismo htjeli da vidimo Isusa.
These, therefore, came unto Philip, him who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, —and were requesting him, saying—Sir! We desire to see, Jesus.
22 Doðe Filip i kaza Andriji, a Andrija i Filip opet kazaše Isusu.
Philip cometh, and telleth Andrew: Andrew and Philip come, and tell Jesus.
23 A Isus odgovori im govoreæi: doðe èas da se proslavi sin èovjeèij.
But, Jesus, answereth them, saying—The hour hath come, that the Son of Man should be glorified!
24 Zaista, zaista vam kažem: ako zrno pšenièno padnuvši na zemlju ne umre, onda jedno ostane; ako li umre mnogo roda rodi:
Verily! Verily, I say unto you: Except, the kernel of wheat, shall fall into the ground, and die, it, alone, abideth; but, if it die, much fruit, it beareth.
25 Koji ljubi dušu svoju izgubiæe je, a ko mrzi na dušu svoju na ovom svijetu, saèuvaæe je za život vjeèni. (aiōnios g166)
He that loveth his life, loseth it; but, he that hateth his life, in this world, unto life age-abiding, shall guard it. (aiōnios g166)
26 Ko meni služi, za mnom nek ide, i gdje sam ja ondje i sluga moj neka bude; i ko meni služi onoga æe poštovati otac moj.
If, with me, anyone be ministering, with me, let him be following; and, where, I, am, there, my minister also, shall be. If anyone, with me, be ministering, the Father, will honour him.
27 Sad je duša moja žalosna; i šta da kažem? Oèe! saèuvaj me od ovoga èasa; ali zato doðoh na èas ovaj.
Now, is my soul troubled, —and what can I say? Father! save me from this hour? But, on this account, came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name!
28 Oèe! proslavi ime svoje! Tada glas doðe s neba: i proslavio sam, i opet æu proslaviti.
There came, therefore, a voice out of heaven—I both have glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 A kad èu narod koji stajaše, govorahu: grom zagrmi; a drugi govorahu: anðeo mu govori.
[So], the multitude that was standing by, and heard it, were saying—It hath, thundered. Others, were saying—A messenger, unto him, hath spoken.
30 Isus odgovori i reèe: ovaj glas ne bi mene radi nego naroda radi.
Jesus answered, and said—Not for my sake, hath this voice come, but, for your sake.
31 Sad je sud ovome svijetu; sad æe biti istjeran knez ovoga svijeta napolje.
Now, is there, a judging, of this world, —Now, the ruler of this world, shall be cast out;
32 I kad ja budem podignut od zemlje, sve æu privuæi k sebi.
And, I, if I be lifted up out of the earth, will draw, all, unto myself.
33 A ovo govoraše da pokaže kakvom æe smrti umrijeti.
But, this, he was saying, signifying, by what manner of death, he was about to die.
34 Narod mu odgovori: mi èusmo iz zakona da æe Hristos ostati vavijek; kako ti govoriš da se sinu èovjeèijemu valja podignuti? Ko je taj sin èovjeèij? (aiōn g165)
The multitude, therefore, answered him—We, have heard, out of the law, that, the Christ, abideth evermore; How then dost, thou, say, —It behoveth the Son of Man to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man? (aiōn g165)
35 A Isus im reèe: još je malo vremena vidjelo s vama; hodite dok vidjelo imate da vas tama ne obuzme; jer ko hodi po tami ne zna kuda ide.
Jesus, therefore, said unto them—Yet a little while, the light, is, among you: Walk, while ye have, the light, lest, darkness, on you should lay hold; and, he that walketh in darkness, knoweth not whither he drifteth.
36 Dok vidjelo imate vjerujte vidjelo, da budete sinovi vidjela. Rekavši ovo Isus otide i sakri se od njih.
While, the light, ye have, believe on the light, that, sons of light, ye may become. These things, spake Jesus, —and, departing, was hid from them.
37 Ako je i èinio tolika èudesa pred njima, opet ga ne vjerovahu;
And, although such signs, as these, he had done before them, they were not believing on him: —
38 Da se zbude rijeè Isaije proroka koji reèe: Gospode! ko vjerova govorenju našemu? i ruka Gospodnja kome se otkri?
that, the word of Isaiah the prophet, might be fulfilled, which said—Lord! who believed, what we have heard? And, the arm of the Lord, to whom, was it revealed?
39 Zato ne mogahu vjerovati, jer opet reèe Isaija:
On this account, they could not believe, because, again, said Isaiah—
40 Zaslijepio je oèi njihove i okamenio srca njihova, da ne vide oèima ni srcem razumiju, i ne obrate se da ih iscijelim.
He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; lest they should see with their eyes, and should understand with their heart, and should turn, —and I should heal them.
41 Ovo reèe Isaija kad vidje slavu njegovu i govori za njega.
These things, said Isaiah, because he saw his glory, and spake concerning him.
42 Ali opet i od knezova mnogi ga vjerovaše; nego radi fariseja ne priznavahu, da ne bi bili izgnani iz zbornice;
Nevertheless, however, even from among the rulers, many believed on him; but, because of the Pharisees, they were not confessing him, lest, excommunicants from the synagogue, they should be made;
43 Jer im veæma omilje slava ljudska nego slava Božija.
for they loved the glory of men, more than the glory of God.
44 A Isus povika i reèe: ko mene vjeruje ne vjeruje mene, nego onoga koji me posla;
And, Jesus, cried aloud, and said—He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me;
45 I ko vidi mene vidi onoga koji me posla.
And, he that vieweth me, vieweth him that sent me.
46 Ja doðoh vidjelo na svijet, da nijedan koji me vjeruje ne ostane u tami.
I, a light, into the world have come, that, no one who believeth on me, in darkness, should abide.
47 I ko èuje moje rijeèi i ne vjeruje, ja mu neæu suditi; jer ja ne doðoh da sudim svijetu, nego da spasem svijet.
And, if anyone shall hearken unto my sayings, and not guard them, I, am not judging him; for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.
48 Koji se odrièe mene, i ne prima rijeèi mojijeh, ima sebi sudiju: rijeè koju ja govorih ona æe mu suditi u pošljednji dan;
He that setteth me aside, and receiveth not my sayings, hath that which is to judge him: The word that I spake, that, will judge him, in the last day.
49 Jer ja od sebe ne govorih, nego otac koji me posla on mi dade zapovijest šta æu kazati i šta æu govoriti.
Because, I, out of myself, spake not, but, the Father who sent me, hath, himself, given me commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
