Jeremija 1
1 Rijeèi Jeremije sina Helkijina izmeðu sveštenika koji bijahu u Anatotu u zemlji Venijaminovoj,
The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin,
2 Kojemu doðe rijeè Gospodnja u vrijeme Josije sina Amonova, cara Judina, trinaeste godine carovanja njegova,
to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 I u vrijeme Joakima sina Josijina, cara Judina, do svršetka jedanaeste godine carovanja Sedekije sina Josijina nad Judom, dok ne bi preseljen Jerusalim, petoga mjeseca.
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away captive of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
4 I doðe mi rijeè Gospodnja govoreæi:
Now the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
5 Prije nego te sazdah u utrobi, znah te; i prije nego izide iz utrobe, posvetih te; za proroka narodima postavih te.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee. I have appointed thee a prophet to the nations.
6 A ja rekoh: oh, Gospode, Gospode! evo, ne znam govoriti, jer sam dijete.
Then I said, Ah, lord Jehovah! Behold, I know not how to speak, for I am a child.
7 A Gospod mi reèe: ne govori: dijete sam; nego idi kuda te god pošljem, i govori što ti god kažem.
But Jehovah said to me, Say not, I am a child. For to whomever I shall send thee thou shall go, and whatever I shall command thee thou shall speak.
8 Ne boj ih se, jer sam ja s tobom da te izbavljam, govori Gospod.
Be not afraid because of them, for I am with thee to deliver thee, says Jehovah.
9 I pruživši Gospod ruku svoju dotaèe se usta mojih, i reèe mi Gospod: eto, metnuh rijeèi svoje u tvoja usta.
Then Jehovah put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 Vidi, postavljam te danas nad narodima i carstvima da istrebljuješ i obaraš, i da zatireš i raskopavaš, i da gradiš i da sadiš.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.
11 Poslije mi doðe rijeè Gospodnja govoreæi: šta vidiš, Jeremija? I rekoh: vidim prut bademov.
Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do thou see? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12 Tada mi reèe Gospod: dobro si vidio, jer æu nastati oko rijeèi svoje da je izvršim.
Then Jehovah said to me, Thou have well seen. For I watch over my word to perform it.
13 Opet mi doðe rijeè Gospodnja drugom govoreæi: šta vidiš? I rekoh: vidim lonac gdje vri, i prednja mu je strana prema sjeveru.
And the word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, What do thou see? And I said, I see a boiling caldron, and the face of it is from the north.
14 Tada mi reèe Gospod: sa sjevera æe navaliti zlo na sve stanovnike ove zemlje.
Then Jehovah said to me, Out of the north evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 Jer, gle, ja æu sazvati sve porodice iz sjevernijeh carstava, veli Gospod, te æe doæi, i svaki æe metnuti svoj prijesto na vratima Jerusalimskim i oko svijeh zidova njegovijeh i oko svijeh gradova Judinijeh.
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says Jehovah. And they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls of it round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 I izreæi æu im sud svoj za svu zloæu njihovu što me ostaviše, i kadiše drugim bogovima, i klanjaše se djelu ruku svojih.
And I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
17 Ti dakle opaši se i ustani i govori im sve što æu ti zapovjediti; ne boj ih se, da te ne bih satro pred njima.
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak to them all that I command thee. Be not dismayed at them, lest I dismay thee before them.
18 Jer evo ja te postavljam danas kao tvrd grad i kao stup gvozden i kao zidove mjedene svoj ovoj zemlji, carevima Judinijem i knezovima njegovijem i sveštenicima njegovijem i narodu zemaljskom.
For, behold, I have made thee this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the rulers of it, against the priests of it, and against the people of the land.
19 Oni æe udariti na te, ali te neæe nadvladati, jer sam ja s tobom, veli Gospod, da te izbavljam.
And they shall fight against thee. But they shall not prevail against thee, for I am with thee, says Jehovah, to deliver thee.
