Jeremija 28

1 A iste godine, u poèetku carovanja Sedekije cara Judina, èetvrte godine, petoga mjeseca, reèe mi Ananija sin Azorov, prorok iz Gavaona, u domu Gospodnjem pred sveštenicima i svijem narodom govoreæi:

And it came to pass in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year in the fifth month, that Hananiah son of Azzur the prophet who was of Gibeon, spake unto me, in the house of Yahweh, before the eyes of the priests and all the people, saying:

2 Ovako veli Gospod nad vojskama Bog Izrailjev: slomih jaram cara Vavilonskoga.

Thus speaketh Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel saying, —I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon:

3 Do dvije godine ja æu vratiti na ovo mjesto sve sudove doma Gospodnjega, koje uze Navuhodonosor car Vavilonski odavde i odnese u Vavilon.

within the space of two years, I am bringing back into this place, all the vessels of the house of Yahweh, —which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, hath taken away from this place, and carried into Babylon.

4 I Jehoniju sina Joakimova cara Judina i sve roblje Judino što otide u Vavilon, ja æu dovesti opet na ovo mjesto, govori Gospod, jer æu slomiti jaram cara Vavilonskoga.

Jeconiah also, son of Jehoiakim king of Judah with all the captives of Judah who have entered Babylon, am I bringing back into this place Declareth Yahweh, —for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Tada reèe Jeremija prorok Ananiji proroku pred sveštenicima i pred svijem narodom, koji stajaše u domu Gospodnjem,

Then said Jeremiah the prophet, unto Hananiah the prophet, in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people, who were standing in the house of Yahweh,

6 Reèe Jeremija prorok: amin, da Gospod uèini tako, da Gospod ispuni tvoje rijeèi što si prorokovao da bi vratio sudove doma Gospodnjega i sve roblje iz Vavilona na ovo mjesto.

then said Jeremiah the prophet, —Amen! So, may Yahweh do! Yahweh establish thy words which thou hast prophesied by bringing back the vessels of the house of Yahweh and all them of the captivity, from Babylon unto this place.

7 Ali èuj ovu rijeè koju æu ja kazati pred tobom i pred svijem narodom:

Nevertheless hear thou I pray thee, this word, which I am speaking in thine ears, —and in the ears of all the people:

8 Proroci koji su bili prije mene i prije tebe od starine, oni prorokovaše mnogim zemljama i velikim carstvima rat i nevolju i pomor.

The prophets who were before me and before thee, from age-past times when they prophesied against many lands and concerning great kingdoms, of war and of calamity and of pestilence,

9 Prorok koji prorièe mir, kad se zbude rijeè toga proroka, onda se poznaje taj prorok da ga je zaista poslao Gospod.

the prophet who prophesied of peace when the word of the prophet was fulfilled, then was known the prophet, whom Yahweh had sent in truth.

10 Tada Ananija prorok skide jaram s vrata Jeremiji proroku i slomi ga.

Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, —and brake it.

11 I reèe Ananija pred svijem narodom govoreæi: ovako veli Gospod: ovako æu slomiti jaram Navuhodonosora cara Vavilonskoga do dvije godine s vrata svijeh naroda. I otide prorok Jeremija svojim putem.

And Hananiah spake before the eyes of all the people saying, Thus, saith Yahweh, —In like manner, will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within the space of two years, from off the neck of all the nations, And Jeremiah the prophet went his way.

12 Ali doðe rijeè Gospodnja Jeremiji, pošto slomi Ananija prorok jaram s vrata Jeremiji proroku, i reèe:

Then came the word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying:

13 Idi i kaži Ananiji i reci: ovako veli Gospod: slomio si jaram drveni, ali naèini mjesto njega gvozden jaram.

Go and speak unto Hananiah saying—Thus, saith Yahweh, Yokes of wood, thou hast broken, —But thou shalt make, in their stead yokes of iron!

14 Jer ovako veli Gospod nad vojskama Bog Izrailjev: gvozden æu jaram metnuti na vrat svijem tijem narodima da služe Navuhodonosoru caru Vavilonskom, i služiæe mu, dao sam mu i zvijerje poljsko.

For, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, —A yoke of iron, have I put upon the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they shall serve him, Moreover also the wild beast of the field, have I given to him.

15 Potom reèe Jeremija prorok Ananiji proroku: èuj, Ananija; nije te poslao Gospod, a ti si uèinio da se narod ovaj pouzda u laž.

Then said Jeremiah the prophet unto Hananiah the prophet, —Hear I pray thee, Hananiah: Yahweh hath not sent thee, Thou, therefore hast caused this people to trust in falsehood!

16 Zato ovako veli Gospod: evo, ja æu te skinuti sa zemlje, ove godine ti æeš umrijeti; jer si kazivao odmet od Gospoda.

Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh, Behold me! driving thee away from off the face of the ground, —This year, art thou to die, Because revolt, hast thou spoken against Yahweh.

17 I umrije prorok Ananija te godine sedmoga mjeseca.

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year, in the seventh month.
