Isaija 50
1 Ovako veli Gospod: gdje je raspusna knjiga matere vaše kojom je pustih? ili koji je izmeðu rukodavalaca mojih kome vas prodadoh? Gle, za bezakonja svoja prodadoste se i za vaše prijestupe bi puštena mati vaša.
Adonai says, “Where is the bill of your mother’s divorce, with which I have put her away? or to which of my creditors have I sold you? Behold, you were sold for your depravities (moral evils), and your mother was put away for your rebellious breaches of relationships.
2 Zašto kad doðoh ne bi nikoga? kad zvah, niko se ne odazva? da nije kako god okraèala ruka moja, te ne može iskupiti? ili nema u mene snage da izbavim? Gle, prijetnjom svojom isušujem more; obraæam rijeke u pustinju da se usmrde ribe njihove zato što nestane vode, i mru od žeði.
Why, when I came, was there no one? when I called, why was there no one to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it can’t redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea. I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stink, because there is no water, and die for thirst.
3 Oblaèim nebesa u mrak, i kostrijet im dajem za pokrivaè.
I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.”
4 Gospod Gospod dade mi jezik uèen da umijem progovoriti zgodnu rijeè umornom; budi svako jutro, budi mi uši, da slušam kao uèenici.
'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh] has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary. He wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to sh'ma ·hear obey· as those who are taught.
5 Gospod Gospod otvori mi uši, i ja se ne protivih, ne otstupih natrag.
'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh] has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious. I have not turned back.
6 Leða svoja podmetah onima koji me bijahu i obraze svoje onima koji me èupahu; ne zaklonih lica svojega od ruga ni od zapljuvanja.
I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I didn’t hide my face from insult and spitting.
7 Jer mi Gospod Gospod pomaže, zato se ne osramotih, zato stavih èelo svoje kao kremen, i znam da se neæu postidjeti.
For 'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh] will help me. Therefore I have not been confounded. Therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
8 Blizu je onaj koji me pravda; ko æe se preti sa mnom? stanimo zajedno; ko je suparnik moj? neka pristupi k meni.
He who declares me righteous me is near. Who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together. Who is my mishpat · adversary·? Let him come near to me.
9 Gle, Gospod Gospod pomagaæe mi: ko æe me osuditi? Gle, svi æe oni kao haljina ovetšati, moljac æe ih izjesti.
Behold, 'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh] will help me! Who is he who will condemn me as guilty? Behold, they will all grow old like a garment. The moths will eat them up.
10 Ko se meðu vama boji Gospoda i sluša glas sluge njegova? Ko hodi po mraku i nema vidjela, neka se uzda u ime Gospodnje i neka se oslanja na Boga svojega.
Who among you fears Adonai, and sh'ma ·hears obeys· the voice of his servant? He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in Adonai’s name, and rely on his God.
11 Gle, svi koji ložite oganj i opasujete se iskrama, idite u svjetlosti ognja svojega i u iskrama koje raspaliste. To vam je iz moje ruke, u mukama æete ležati.
Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who adorn yourselves with torches around yourselves; walk in the flame of your fire, and among the torches that you have kindled. You will have this from my hand: You will lie down in sorrow.
