Isaija 4

1 I u ono vrijeme sedam æe žena uhvatiti jednoga èovjeka govoreæi: svoj æemo hljeb jesti i svoje æemo odijelo nositi, samo da se zovemo tvojim imenom, skini s nas sramotu.

And seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, Our own bread, will we eat, And our own apparel, will we wear, —Only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

2 U ono vrijeme biæe klica Gospodnja na slavu i èast, i plod zemaljski na krasotu i diku ostatku Izrailjevu.

In that day, Shall the Bud of Yahweh, become beautiful and glorious, —And the Fruit of the Land splendid and majestic, To the escaped of Israel.

3 I ko ostane u Sionu i ko još bude u Jerusalimu, zvaæe se svet, svaki ko bude zapisan za život u Jerusalimu,

And it shall come to pass—He that is left in Zion! And he that remaineth in Jerusalem, Shall be called, holy, —Everyone written unto life in Jerusalem.

4 Kad Gospod opere neèistotu kæeri Sionskih i iz Jerusalima oèisti krv njegovu duhom koji sudi i sažiže.

When My Lord shall have bathed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, And the blood-guiltiness of Jerusalem, he shall wash away out of her midst, —By the spirit of judgment, and By the spirit of thorough cleansing,

5 Gospod æe stvoriti nad svakim stanom na gori Sionskoj i nad zborovima njezinijem oblak danju s dimom i svjetlost plamena ognjenoga noæu, jer æe nad svom slavom biti zaklon.

Then will Yahweh, create—Over all the home of Mount Zion and Over her assembly, A cloud by day and a smoke, And the shining of a fire-flame, by night, —For over all the glory, shall be a canopy;

6 I biæe koliba, da sjenom zaklanja danju od vruæine i da bude utoèište i zaklon od poplave i od dažda.

And a pavilion, shall there be For a shade by day, from the heat, —and For a refuge and for a shelter, from storm and from rain.
