Postanak 6
1 A kad se ljudi poèeše množiti na zemlji, i kæeri im se narodiše.
And it came to pass when men had begun to multiply on the face of the ground and daughters had been born to them,
2 Videæi sinovi Božji kæeri èovjeèije kako su lijepe uzimaše ih za žene koje htješe.
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men! that they were, fair, —so they took to themselves wives of whomsoever they chose,
3 A Gospod reèe: neæe se duh moj dovijeka preti s ljudima, jer su tijelo; neka im još sto i dvadeset godina.
And Yahweh said—My spirit shall not rule in man to times age—abiding, for that, he also, is flesh, —Yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
4 A bijaše tada divova na zemlji; a i poslije, kad se sinovi Božji sastajahu sa kæerima èovjeèijim, pa im one raðahu sinove; to bijahu silni ljudi, od starine na glasu.
The giants, were in the earth in those days, and also, after that, when the sons of God began to go in unto the daughters of men, and sons were born to them, the same, were the heroes that were from age-past times the men of renown.
5 I Gospod videæi da je nevaljalstvo ljudsko veliko na zemlji, i da su sve misli srca njihova svagda samo zle,
Then Yahweh saw that great, was the wickedness of man in the earth, and that, every purpose of the devices of his heart, was only wicked all the day;
6 Pokaja se Gospod što je stvorio èovjeka na zemlji, i bi mu žao u srcu.
and it grieved Yahweh, that he had made man in the earth, —and he took sorrow unto his heart.
7 I reèe Gospod: hoæu da istrijebim sa zemlje ljude, koje sam stvorio, od èovjeka do stoke i do sitne životinje i do ptica nebeskih; jer se kajem što sam ih stvorio.
And Yahweh said—I must wipe off man whom I created from off the face of the ground, from man unto beast unto creeping thing, and unto the bird of the heavens, —for I am grieved that I made them.
8 Ali Noje naðe milost pred Gospodom.
But, Noah, had found favour in the eyes, of Yahweh.
9 Ovo su dogaðaji Nojevi: Noje bješe èovjek pravedan i bezazlen svojega vijeka; po volji Božjoj svagda življaše Noje.
These, are the generations of Noah, Noah, was, a righteous man blameless, in his generations, —with God, did Noah walk.
10 I rodi Noje tri sina: Sima, Hama i Jafeta.
And Noah begat three sons, —Shem, Ham and Japheth.
11 A zemlja se pokvari pred Bogom, i napuni se zemlja bezakonja.
And the earth corrupted itself before God, —and the earth was filled with violence,
12 I pogleda Bog na zemlju, a ona bješe pokvarena; jer svako tijelo pokvari put svoj na zemlji.
And God beheld the earth, and lo! it had corrupted itself, —surely all flesh had corrupted its way, on the earth.
13 I reèe Bog Noju: kraj svakome tijelu doðe preda me, jer napuniše zemlju bezakonja; i evo hoæu da ih zatrem sa zemljom.
So God said unto Noah: the end of all flesh, hath come in before me, for, filled, is the earth with violence, because of them, —behold me, then, destroying them with the earth.
14 Naèini sebi kovèeg od drveta gofera, i naèini pregratke u kovèegu; i zatopi ga smolom iznutra i spolja.
Make for thee an ark of timbers of gopher, rooms, shalt thou make with the ark, —and thou shalt cover it within and without with pitch.
15 I naèini ga ovako: u dužinu neka bude trista lakata, u širinu pedeset lakata, i u visinu trideset lakata;
And, this, is how thou shalt make it, —three hundred cubits, the length of the ark, fifty cubits, the breadth thereof, and thirty cubits the height thereof.
16 Pusti dosta svjetlosti u kovèeg; i krov mu svedi ozgo od lakta; i udari vrata kovèegu sa strane; i naèini ga na tri boja: donji, drugi i treæi.
A place for light, shalt thou make to the ark and to a cubit, shalt thou finish it upwards, and the opening of the ark—in the side thereof, shalt thou put, —with lower, second and third stories, shalt thou make it.
17 Jer evo pustiæu potop na zemlju, da istrijebim svako tijelo, u kojem ima živa duša pod nebom; što je god na zemlji sve æe izginuti.
And, I, behold me! bringing in the flood—even waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh wherein is the spirit of life, from under the heavens, —everything that is in the earth, shall cease to breathe:
18 Ali æu s tobom uèiniti zavjet svoj: i uæi æeš u kovèeg ti i sinovi tvoji i žena tvoja i žene sinova tvojih s tobom.
therefore will I establish my covenant with thee, —and thou shalt enter into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives, with thee.
19 I od svega živa, od svakoga tijela, uzeæeš u kovèeg po dvoje, da saèuvaš u životu sa sobom, a muško i žensko neka bude.
Moreover of all the living creatures of all flesh—two of each, shalt thou bring into the ark to keep alive with thee, —male and female, shall they be.
20 Od ptica po vrstama njihovijem, od stoke po vrstama njezinijem, i od svega što se mièe na zemlji po vrstama njegovijem, od svega po dvoje neka uðe s tobom, da ih saèuvaš u životu.
Of the bird after its kind and of the beast after its kind, [and] of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each, shall come in unto thee. for keeping alive.
21 I uzmi sa sobom svega što se jede, i èuvaj kod sebe, da bude hrane tebi i njima.
But thou, take to thee of all food that is eaten, and gather it unto thee, —and it shall be for thee and for them for food.
22 I Noje uèini, kako mu zapovjedi Bog, sve onako uèini.
And Noah did [so], —according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
