1 A ovo je pleme Isavovo, a on je Edom.

Now these, are the generations of Esau the same, is Edom.

2 Isav se oženi izmeðu kæeri Hananejskih Adom kæerju Eloma Hetejina, i Olivemom kæerju Ane sina Sevegona Evejina,

Esau, took his wives of the daughters of Canaan, —Even Adah, daughter of Elon, the Hittite, And Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon, the Hivite;

3 I Vasematom kæerju Ismailovom, sestrom Navaotovom.

And Basemath daughter of Ishmael sister of Nebaioth.

4 I rodi Ada Isavu Elifasa, a Vasemata rodi Raguila.

So Adah bare to Esau, Eliphaz, and, Basemath, bare Reuel;

5 A Olivema rodi Jeusa i Jegloma i Koreja. To su sinovi Isavovi, koji mu se rodiše u zemlji Hananskoj.

and Oholibamah, bare Jeush and Jalam and Korah. These, are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

6 I Isav uze žene svoje i sinove svoje i kæeri svoje i sve domašnje svoje, i stada svoja i svu stoku svoju i sve blago svoje što bješe stekao u zemlji Hananskoj; pa otide u drugu zemlju daleko od Jakova brata svojega.

Then took Esau his wives, and his sons, and his daughters and all the souls of his house, and his herds and all his beasts, and all his possessions whatsoever he had gathered in the land of Canaan, —and went into a land, away from the face of Jacob his brother,

7 Jer im blago bijaše vrlo veliko, te ne mogahu živjeti zajedno; niti ih zemlja gdje bijahu došljaci mogaše nositi od množine stoke njihove.

For their substance had become too great for them to dwell together, —neither could the land of their sojournings sustain them, because of their herds,

8 I Isav življaše na planini Siru. Isav je Edom.

So Esau dwelt in Mount Seir, Esau, is Edom.

9 A ovo je pleme Isava oca Edomcima na planini Siru.

And, these, are the generations of Esau father of Edom, —in Mount Seir.

10 Ovo su imena sinova Isavovijeh: Elifas sin Ade žene Isavove, i Raguilo sin Vasemate žene Isavove.

These, are the name of the sons of Esau, —Eliphaz son of Adah wife of Esau, Reuel son of Basemath wife of Esau.

11 A Elifasovi sinovi bjehu: Teman, Omar, Sofar, Gotom i Kenez.

Then came the sons of Eliphaz to be, —Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 A Tamna bješe inoèa Elifasu sinu Isavovu, i rodi Elifasu Amalika. To su sinovi Ade žene Isavove.

Now, Timna, became the concubine of Eliphaz son of Esau, and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek. These, are the sons of Adah, wife of Esau.

13 A ovo su sinovi Raguilovi: Nahot, Zare, Some i Moze. To bjehu sinovi Vasemate žene Isavove.

And, these, are the sons of Reuel, Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah, —These were the sons of Basemath wife of Esau.

14 A ovo su sinovi Oliveme kæeri Ane sina Sevegonova, žene Isavove. Ona rodi Isavu Jeusa i Jegloma i Koreja.

And, these, were the sons of Oholibamah daughter of Anah, son of Zibeon, wife of—Esau, —she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.

15 Ovo su starješine sinovima Isavovijem: sinovi Elifasa prvenca Isavova: starješina Teman, starješina Omar, starješina Sofar, starješina Kenez,

These, are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: —The sons of Eliphaz, firstborn of Esau, —Chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz,

16 Starješina Korej, starješina Gotim, starješina Amalik. To su starješine od Elifasa u zemlji Edomskoj. To su sinovi Adini.

chief Korah, chief Gatam, chief Amalek. These are the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom, these, the sons of Adah.

17 A sinovi Raguila sina Isavova: starješina Nahot, starješina Zare, starješina Some, starješina Moze. To su starješine od Raguila u zemlji Edomskoj. To su sinovi Vasemate žene Isavove.

And these, are the sons of Reuel, son of Esau—Chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah, —These are the chiefs of Reuel, in the land of Edom, these, the sons of Basemath wife of Esau.

18 A sinovi Oliveme žene Isavove: starješina Jeus, starješina Jeglom, starješina Korej. To su starješine od Oliveme kæeri Anine, žene Isavove.

And these, are the sons of Oholibamah wife of Esau, Chief Jeush chief Jalam, chief Korah, —These are the chiefs of Oholibamah daughter of Anah wife of Esau.

19 To su sinovi Isavovi, i to su starješine njihove; a on je Edom.

These, are the sons of Esau, and, these, their chiefs—the same, is Edom.

20 A ovo su sinovi Sira Horejina, koji življahu u onoj zemlji: Lotan i Soval i Sevegon i Ana,

These, are the sons of Seir, the Horite, who were dwelling in the land, —Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah;

21 I Dison i Asar i Rison. To su starješine Horejima, sinovi Sirovi u zemlji Edomskoj.

and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan, —These, are the chiefs of the Horites the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.

22 A sinovi Lotanovi bjehu Horija i Eman, a sestra Lotanova bješe Tamna.

Then came the sons of Lotan to be, Hori and Hemam, —And, the sister of Lotan was Timna.

23 A ovo su sinovi Savalovi: Golam i Manahat i Gevil i Sofar i Omar.

And, these, are the sons of Shobal, Alvan and Manahath, and Ebal, —Shepho, and Onam.

27 A ovo su sinovi Asarovi: Valam i Zavan i Akan.

These, are the sons of Ezer, —Bilhan and Zaavan, and Akan.

28 A ovo su sinovi Risonovi: Uz i Aran.

These, are the sons of Dishan, —Uz and Aran.

29 I ovo su starješine Horejima: starješina Lotan, starješina Soval, starješina Sevegon, starješina Ana,

These, are the chiefs of the Horites, —Chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah;

30 Starješina Dison, starješina Asar, starješina Rison. To su starješine Horejima, kako im starješovahu u zemlji Siru.

chief Dishon, chief Ezer, chief Dishan. These, are the chiefs of the Horites, after their chiefs in the land of Seir.

Then died Bela, —and there reigned in his stead, Jobab son of Zerah, from Bozrah.

34 A kad umrije Jovav, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Asom od zemlje Temanovske.

Then died Jobab, —and there reigned in his stead, Husham, from the land of the Temanites.

35 A kad umrije Asom, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Adad sin Varadov, koji isijeèe Madijance u polju Moavskom, a gradu mu bješe ime Geten.

Then died Husham, —and there reigned in his stead, Hadad, son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, and, the name of his city, was Avith.

36 A kad umrije Adad, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Samada iz Masekasa.

Then died Hadad, —and there reigned in his stead, Samlah from Masrekah.

37 A kad umrije Samada, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Saul iz Rovota na rijeci.

Then died Samlah, —and there reigned in his stead, Shaul, from Rohoboth of the River.

38 A kad umrije Saul, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Valenon sin Ahovorov.

Then died Shaul, —and there reigned in his stead, Baal-hanan, son of Achbor.

39 A kad umrije Valenon sin Ahovorov, zacari se na njegovo mjesto Adar, a grad mu se zvaše Fogor, a ženi mu bješe ime Meteveilja, koja bješe kæi Matraide kæeri Mezevove.

Then died Baal-hanan son of Achbor, and there reigned in his stead Hadar, and the name of his city, was Pau, —and, the name of his wife, Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.

40 I ovo su imena starješinama od Isava po porodicama njihovijem, po mjestima njihovijem, po imenima njihovijem: starješina Tamna, starješina Gola, starješina Jeter,

These then are the names of the chiefs of Esau after their families, after their places by their names, —Chief Timnah, chief Alvah chief Jetheth;

41 Starješina Olivema, starješina Ila, starješina Finon,

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon;

42 Starješina Kenez, starješina Teman, starješina Mazar,

chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar;

43 Starješina Magedilo, starješina Zafoj. To su starješine Edomske kako nastavahu u svojoj zemlji. Ovaj Isav bi otac Edomcima.

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These, are the chiefs of Edom—after their dwellings in the land of their possession, the same, is Esau, father of Edom.
