Postanak 14
1 A kad bješe Amarfal car Senarski, Arioh car Elasarski, Hodologomor car Elamski i Targal car Gojimski,
And it came to pass, in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, —Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim,
2 Zavojštiše na Valu cara Sodomskoga, i na Varsu cara Gomorskoga, i na Senara cara Adamskoga, i na Simovora cara Sevojimskoga i na cara od Valake, koja je sada Sigor.
that they made war, with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, —Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela—the same, is Zoar.
3 Svi se ovi skupiše u dolini Sidimskoj, koja je sada slano more.
All these, joined together in the valley of the open fields, the same, is the Salt Sea.
4 Dvanaest godina bjehu služili Hodologomoru, pa trinaeste godine odmetnuše se.
Twelve years, had they served Chedorlaomer, —but in the thirteenth year had they rebelled;
5 A èetrnaeste godine doðe Hodologomor i carevi koji bijahu s njim, i pobiše Rafaje u Astarotu Karnajimskom i Zuzeje u Amu i Omeje u polju Kirijatajskom,
and in the fourteenth year, had Chedorlaomer come in and the kings who were with him, so they smote the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, —and the Emim, in Shaveh-kiriathaim;
6 I Horeje u planini njihovoj Siru do ravnice Faranske pokraj pustinje.
and the Horites in their Mount Seir, —as far as El-paran, which is by the desert.
7 Otuda vrativši se doðoše u En-Mispat, koji je sada Kadis, i isjekoše sve koji življahu u zemlji Amalièkoj, i Amoreje koji življahu u Asason-Tamaru.
So they returned and came in unto En-mishpat, the same, is Kadish, and smote all the field of the Amalekites, —and the Amorites also that dwelt in Hazazon-tamar,
8 Tada izide car Sodomski i car Gomorski i car Adamski i car Sevojimski i car od Valake, koja je sada Sigor, izidoše na njih u dolinu Sidimsku,
Thus then went forth the King of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah and the king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela the same, is Zoar—and set themselves in array against them for battle, in the valley of the open fields:
9 Na Hodologomora cara Elamskoga, i na Targala cara Gojimskoga, i na Amarfala cara Senarskoga, i na Arioha cara Elasarskoga, èetiri cara na pet.
against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, —four kings against five.
10 A u dolini Sidimskoj bijaše mnogo rupa iz kojih se vadila smola; i pobježe car Sodomski i car Gomorski, i ondje padoše, a što osta pobježe u planinu.
Now, the valley of the open fields, had many pits of bitumen, so the king of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there, —while, they who remained, towards a mountain, fled.
11 I uzeše sve blago u Sodomu i Gomoru i svu hranu njihovu, i otidoše.
And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food and went their way.
12 Uzeše i Lota, sinovca Avramova, i blago njegovo, i otidoše, jer življaše u Sodomu.
And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son with his goods, and went their way, —he, being a dweller in Sodom.
13 A doðe jedan koji bješe utekao, te javi Avramu Jevrejinu, koji življaše u ravni Mamrija Amorejina, brata Esholu i brata Avnanu, koji bjehu u vjeri s Avramom.
Then came in a fugitive, and told Abram the Hebrew, —he, having his dwelling among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, they, also having a covenant with Abram.
14 A kad Avram èu da mu se zarobio sinovac, naoruža sluge svoje, trista osamnaest, koji se rodiše u njegovoj kuæi, i poðe u potjeru do Dana.
So Abram, hearing that his brother had been taken captive, drew forth his trained men born in his house three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
15 Ondje razredivši svoje udari na njih noæu sa slugama svojim, i razbi ih, i otjera ih do Hovala, koji je na lijevo od Damaska,
And he divided himself against them by night, he, and his servants, and smote them, —and pursued them as far as Hobah, which was on the left of Damascus.
16 I povrati sve blago; povrati i Lota sinovca svojega s blagom njegovijem, i žene i ljude.
So he brought back all the goods, —yea Lot also his brother with his goods, did he bring back, and the women also, and the people.
17 A car Sodomski izide mu na susret kad se vrati razbivši Hodologomora i careve što bijahu s njim, u dolinu Savinu, koje je sada dolina careva.
Then came forth the king of Sodom to meet him, after his return from the smiting of Chedorlaomer, and the kings who were with him, —into the vale of Shaveh the same, was the vale of the king.
18 A Melhisedek car Salimski iznese hljeb i vino; a on bijaše sveštenik Boga višnjega.
Now Melchizedek king of Salem, had brought forth bread and wine, —he, being priest of GOD Most High.
19 I blagoslovi ga govoreæi: blagosloven da je Avram Bogu višnjemu, èije je nebo i zemlja!
So he blessed him and said, —Blessed be Abram of GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth;
20 I blagosloven da je Bog višnji, koji predade neprijatelje tvoje u ruke tvoje! I dade mu Avram desetak od svega.
And blessed be GOD Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. So he gave unto him a tenth of all.
21 A car Sodomski reèe Avramu: daj meni ljude, a blago uzmi sebi.
Then said the king of Sodom unto Abram, —Give unto me the persons, but the goods, take thou for thyself.
22 A Avram reèe caru Sodomskom: dižem ruku svoju ka Gospodu Bogu višnjemu, èije je nebo i zemlja, zaklinjuæi se:
And Abram said unto the king of Sodom, —I have lifted up my hand unto Yahweh GOD Most High, possessor of [the] heavens and earth:
23 Ni konca ni remena od obuæe neæu uzeti od svega što je tvoje, da ne reèeš: ja sam obogatio Avrama;
That not from a thread even unto a sandal-thong, —will I take, anything, that is thine, —Lest thou shouldst say, I, enriched Abram!
24 Osim što su pojeli momci, i osim dijela ljudima koji su išli sa mnom, Esholu, Avnanu i Mamriju, oni neka uzmu svoj dio.
Save only what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, they may take their share.
