Ponovljeni Zakon 3

1 Potom obrativši se idosmo k Vasanu. I izide pred nas Og car Vasanski i sav narod njegov na boj u Edrajin.

Then turned we and went up, the way of Bashan; and Og king of Bashan, came out to meet us, he, and all his people, to give battle at Edrei.

2 I Gospod mi reèe: ne boj ga se, jer ga dadoh u tvoje ruke sa svijem narodom njegovijem i sa zemljom njegovom, da uèiniš s njim onako kako si uèinio sa Sionom carom Amorejskim, koji sjeðaše u Esevonu.

And Yahweh said unto me: Do not fear him, for into thy hand, have I delivered him and all his people and his land, —so then thou shalt do unto him, as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites who was dwelling in Heshbon.

3 Tako nam dade Gospod Bog naš u ruke i Oga cara Vasanskoga sa svijem narodom njegovijem, i razbismo ga i ne ostavismo mu ni jednoga živa.

Then did Yahweh our God deliver into our hand, Og also, king of Bashan and all his people, —so we smote him until there was not left remaining to him a survivor.

4 I uzesmo tada sve gradove njegove; ne bi grada kojega ne uzesmo, šezdeset gradova, sav kraj Argovski, carstvo Oga u Vasanu.

And we captured all his cities, at that time, there was no fortress which we took not from them, —sixty cities all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5 Svi ti gradovi bjehu utvrðeni zidom visokim, vratima i prijevornicama, osim drugih mjesta bez zidova vrlo mnogo.

All these, were fortified cities each with a high wall, folding gates and a bar, —besides country towns exceeding many.

6 I raskopasmo ih kao što uèinismo Sionu caru Esevonskom, pobivši po svijem mjestima i ljude i žene i djecu.

And we devoted them to destruction, doing unto them as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, —devoting to destruction every city of males, the women, and the little ones.

7 A svu stoku i plijen po gradovima zaplijenismo za se.

But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, made we our prey.

8 Tako uzesmo onda zemlju iz ruku dvojice careva Amorejskih, koja je s ovu stranu Jordana od potoka Arnona do gore Ermona,

Thus did we at that time take the land out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites (which was over the Jordan), —from the ravine of Arnon as far as Mount Hermon.

9 Sidonci zovu Ermon Sirion, a Amoreji ga zovu Senir, )

Sidonians, call Hermon Sirion, —but, the Amorites, call it Senir.

10 Sva mjesta u ravni i sav Galad i sav Vasan do Salhe i Edrajina, gradove carstva Oga u Vasanu.

All the cities of the table-land, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, —unto Salecah, and Edrei, —cities of the kingdom of Og, in Bashan.

11 Jer samo Og car Vasanski bješe ostao od divova. Gle, odar njegov, odar gvozden, nije li u Ravi sinova Amonovijeh? devet je lakata dug, a širok èetiri lakta, lakta èovjeèija.

For, only Og, king of Bashan was left remaining of the remnant of the giants, lo! his bedstead, was a bedstead of iron, is not, the same, in Rabbath of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits, the length thereof and four cubits, the breadth thereof, by the fore-arm of a man.

12 Tako naslijedismo tu zemlju onda; od Aroira, koji je na potoku Arnonu, i polovinu gore Galada s gradovima njezinijem dadoh sinovima Ruvimovijem i Gadovijem.

And this land, took we in possession at that time, —from Aroer which is by the ravine of Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites;

13 I ostatak Galada i sav Vasan, carstvo Ogovo, dadoh polovini plemena Manasijina; sav kraj Argovski po svemu Vasanu zvaše se zemlja divovska.

but the remainder of Gilead, and all Bashan the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh, —all the region of the Argob with all Bashan. The same, is called, A land of giants.

14 Jair sin Manasijin uze sav kraj Argovski do meðe Gesurske i Mahatske; i prozva Vasansku svojim imenom: sela Jairova do današnjega dana.

Jair, son of Manasseh, took all the region of Argob, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, —and called them after his own name The Bashan of Havvoth-jair unto this day.

15 A Mahiru dadoh Galad.

And, unto Machir, gave I Gilead;

16 A Ruvimovu plemenu i Gadovu plemenu dadoh od Galada do potoka Arnona, kako zahvata potok s meðama, pa do potoka Javoka, gdje je meða sinova Amonovijeh,

And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites, gave I—from Gilead even as far as the ravine of Arnon, the middle of the ravine and boundary, —even as far as the Jabbok ravine, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;

17 I polje i Jordan s meðama od Hinerota do mora uz polje, do mora slanoga, ispod Fazge prema istoku.

the Waste Plain also and the Jordan and boundary, —from Chinnereth, even as far as the sea of the Waste Plain the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah, on the east.

18 I zapovjedih vam onda i rekoh: Gospod Bog vaš dao vam je ovu zemlju u našljedstvo; naoružani hajdete pred braæom svojom, sinovima Izrailjevijem, ko je god za vojsku.

So I commanded you, at that time saying, —Yahweh your God hath given unto you this land to possess it, armed, shall ye pass over before your brethren the sons of Israel all the sons of valour,

19 A žene vaše i djeca vaša i stoka vaša znam da imate mnogo stoke) neka ostanu u gradovima vašim, koje vam dadoh,

Only, your wives and your little ones and your cattle—I know that ye have much cattle—shall abide in your cities which I have given unto you;

20 Dokle ne smiri Gospod i braæu vašu kao vas, da i oni naslijede zemlju, koju æe im Gospod Bog vaš dati s onu stranu Jordana; onda se vratite svaki na svoje našljedstvo, koje vam dadoh.

until that Yahweh shall give rest unto your brethren, as well as you, so shall, they too, possess the land which, Yahweh your God, is giving unto them, over the Jordan, —then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given unto you.

21 A Isusu onda zapovjedih govoreæi: oèi tvoje vide sve što je uèinio Gospod Bog vaš s ona dva cara; onako æe Gospod uèiniti sa svijem carstvima u koja doðeš.

Joshua also, commanded I, at that time saying, —Thine are the eyes, that have seen all that Yahweh your God hath done unto these two kings, thus, will Yahweh do unto all the kingdoms whereunto thou, art passing over:

22 Nemojte ih se bojati, jer æe se Gospod Bog vaš biti za vas.

ye shall not fear them, —for, Yahweh your God, he, it is that is fighting for you.

23 I molih se Gospodu onda govoreæi:

Then sought I Yahweh at that time, for a favour saying:

24 Gospode Bože! ti si poèeo pokazivati sluzi svojemu velièinu svoju i krjepku ruku svoju, jer koji je Bog na nebu ili na zemlji koji bi tvorio djela kakva su tvoja i u koga bi sila bila kakva je tvoja?

My Lord Yahweh, thou thyself, hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy firm hand, —as to which, what GOD is there, in the heavens or in the earth, that can do according to thy doings, and according to thy mighty deeds?

25 Daj mi da prijeðem i vidim zemlju dobru koja je preko Jordana i goru dobru, Livan.

Let me pass over, I pray thee that I may see the good land that is over the Jordan, —this good mountain, and the Lebanon.

26 Ali Gospod bješe gnjevan na me s vas, i ne usliši me, nego mi reèe: dosta; ne govori mi više za to.

But Yahweh had been provoked with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me, —and Yahweh said unto me, Enough for thee! do not add a word unto me further in this matter.

27 Popni se na vrh ove gore, i podigavši oèi svoje na zapad i na sjever i na jug i na istok, vidi oèima svojima, jer neæeš prijeæi preko Jordana.

Ascend the top of the Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes—westward, and northward and southward and eastward—and see with thine own eyes, —for thou shalt not pass over this Jordan.

28 Nego podaj zapovijesti Isusu, i utvrdi ga i ukrijepi ga; jer æe on prijeæi pred narodom tijem, i on æe im razdijeliti u našljedstvo zemlju koju vidiš.

But command thou Joshua and confirm him and embolden him, —for, he, shall pass over before this people, and, he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.

29 I ostasmo u ovoj dolini prema Vet-Fegoru.

So we abode in the valley, over against Beth-peor.
