Ponovljeni Zakon 11
1 Ljubi dakle Gospoda Boga svojega, i izvršuj jednako što je zapovjedio da izvršuješ, i uredbe njegove, i zakone njegove i zapovijesti njegove.
Therefore shalt thou love Yahweh thy God and keep his observance and his statutes and his regulations and his commandments all the days.
2 I poznajte danas što vaši sinovi ne znaju niti vidješe, karanje Gospoda Boga svojega, velièanstvo njegovo, krjepku ruku njegovu i mišicu njegovu podignutu,
And ye must know to-day, (for not with your sons [do I speak] who know not, neither have they seen) the discipline of Yahweh your God, —his greatness, his firm hand, and his stretched-out arm;
3 I znake njegove i djela njegova, što uèini usred Misira na Faraonu caru Misirskom i na svoj zemlji njegovoj,
and his signs and his doings, which he did in the midst of Egypt, —unto Pharaoh king of Egypt and unto all his land;
4 I što uèini vojsci Misirskoj, konjma i kolima njihovijem, kako uèini, te ih voda Crvenoga Mora potopi kad vas tjerahu, i zatr ih Gospod do današnjega dana,
and what he did unto the forces of Egypt—unto his horses and unto his chariots in that he caused the waters of the Red Sea to flow over their faces, when they were pursuing after you, —and so Yahweh destroyed them (unto this day);
5 I što vama uèini u pustinji dokle ne doðoste do ovoga mjesta,
and what he did unto you, in the desert, —until ye came in as far as this place;
6 I što uèini Datanu i Avironu sinovima Elijava sina Ruvimova, kako zemlja otvori usta svoja i proždrije njih i porodice njihove i šatore njihove i sve blago njihovo što imahu, usred Izrailja.
and what he did to Dathan and to Abiram, sons of Eliab, son of Reuben, in that the earth opened wide her mouth, and swallowed-up them and their households and their tents, —and all the living things that attended them, in the midst of all Israel.
7 Jer vaše oèi vidješe sva djela Gospodnja velika, koja uèini.
For yours, are the eyes that have seen every great deed of Yahweh, —which he hath done.
8 Zato držite sve zapovijesti koje vam ja danas zapovijedam, da biste se ukrijepili i naslijedili zemlju, u koju idete da je naslijedite;
Therefore shall ye keep all the commandment which I am commanding thee, today, —that ye may be strong, and so enter and possess the land, whither ye are passing over to possess it;
9 I da bi vam se produljili dani u zemlji, za koju se zakle Gospod ocima vašim da æe je dati njima i sjemenu njihovu, zemlju, u kojoj teèe mlijeko i med.
and that ye may prolong your days upon the soil which Yahweh sware unto your fathers, to give unto them and unto their seed, —a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Jer zemlja u koju ideš da je naslijediš nije kao zemlja Misirska iz koje ste izišli, gdje si sijao svoje sjeme i zalijevao na svojima nogama kao vrt od zelja;
For the land which thou art entering to, possess, not like the land of Egypt, it is, from whence ye came out, —where thou didst sow thy seed, and then water it with thy foot, like a garden of herbs;
11 Nego je zemlja u koju idete da je naslijedite zemlja u kojoj su brda i doline, i natapa je dažd nebeski;
but the land whereinto ye are passing over to, possess it, is a land of hills, and valleys, —which of the rain of the heavens, doth drink water:
12 Zemlja kojom se stara Gospod Bog tvoj i na koju su jednako obraæene oèi Gospoda Boga tvojega od poèetka godine do kraja.
a land which Yahweh thy God careth for, —continually are the eyes of Yahweh thy God upon it, from the beginning of the year, even unto the end of the year.
13 Zato ako dobro uzaslušate zapovijesti, koje vam ja zapovijedam danas, ljubeæi Gospoda Boga svojega i služeæi mu svijem srcem svojim i svom dušom svojom,
And it shall come to pass, if ye will hearken, unto my commandments, which, I am commanding you to-day, —to love Yahweh your God, and to serve him, with, all your heart, and with all your soul,
14 Tada æu davati dažd zemlji vašoj na vrijeme, i rani i pozni, i sabiraæeš žito svoje i vino svoje i ulje svoje;
then [saith he] I will give the rain of your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain; so shalt thou gather in thy corn, and thy new wine and thine oil;
15 I za stoku æu tvoju dati travu u polju tvojem; i ješæeš i biæeš sit.
and I will give grass in thy field for thy cattle, —and thou shalt eat and be satisfied.
16 Èuvajte se da se ne prevari srce vaše da se odmetnete i služite tuðim bogovima i poklanjate im se;
Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be befooled, —and ye turn aside and serve other gods, and bow down to them.
17 Da se ne bi razgnjevio Gospod na vas i zatvorio nebo da ne bude dažda, i zemlja da ne da roda svojega, te biste brzo izginuli u dobroj zemlji koju vam Gospod daje.
So would the anger of Yahweh kindle upon you and he would shut up the heavens, that there should be no rain, and the ground, would not yield her increase, —so should ye perish speedily, from off the good land, which Yahweh is giving unto you.
18 Nego složite ove rijeèi moje u srce svoje i u dušu svoju, i vežite ih za znak sebi na ruku, i neka vam budu kao poèeonik meðu oèima vašim.
Therefore shall ye lay these my words upon your heart, and upon your soul, —and bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall serve as bands between your eyes;
19 I uèite ih sinove svoje govoreæi o njima kad sjediš u kuæi svojoj i kad ideš putem, i kad liježeš i kad ustaješ.
and ye shall teach them unto your children by speaking of them, —when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down and when thou risest up;
20 I napiši ih na dovratnicima doma svojega i na vratima svojim,
and thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house and within thy gates:
21 Da bi se umnožili dani vaši i dani sinova vaših po zemlji, za koju se zakleo Gospod ocima vašim da æe im je dati, kao dani nebu nad zemljom.
that your days may multiply, and the days of your children, upon the soil which Yahweh sware unto your fathers, to give unto them, —like the days of the heavens upon the earth.
22 Jer ako dobro uzdržite sve ove zapovijesti koje vam ja zapovijedam da tvorite ljubeæi Gospoda Boga svojega, i hodeæi svijem putovima njegovijem i njega se držeæi,
For if ye do, indeed keep, all this commandment which I am commanding you to do it, —to love Yahweh your God, to Walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him,
23 Tada æe otjerati Gospod sve ove narode ispred vas, i naslijediæete narode veæe i jaèe nego što ste sami.
then will Yahweh dispossess all these nations, from before you, —and ye shall dispossess nations greater and stronger than ye:
24 Svako mjesto na koje stupi stopalo noge vaše vaše æe biti; od pustinje do Livana, i od rijeke, rijeke Efrata, do mora zapadnoga biæe meða vaša.
every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread yours, shall it be, —from the desert and the Lebanon from the river—the river Euphrates, even unto the hinder sea, shall be your boundary.
25 Neæe se niko održati pred vama; strah i trepet vaš pustiæe Gospod Bog vaš na svu zemlju na koju stupite, kao što vam kaza.
No man shall stand before you, —the dread of you and the fear of you, will Yahweh your God put forth over the face of all the land whereon ye shall tread, as he spake unto you.
26 Gle, iznosim danas pred vas blagoslov i prokletstvo:
See! I am setting before you to-day, —a blessing, and a curse:
27 Blagoslov, ako uzaslušate zapovijesti Gospoda Boga svojega, koje vam ja danas zapovijedam;
the blessing, when ye shall hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I am commanding you to-day;
28 A prokletstvo, ako ne uzaslušate zapovijesti Gospoda Boga svojega nego siðete s puta, koji vam ja danas zapovijedam, te poðete za drugim bogovima, kojih ne poznajete.
and the curse if ye, shall not hearken unto the commandments of Yahweh your God, but shall turn aside out of the way which I am commanding you to-day, —to go after other gods which ye know not.
29 I kad te uvede Gospod Bog tvoj u zemlju u koju ideš da je naslijediš, tada izreci blagoslov ovaj na gori Garizimu a prokletstvo na gori Evalu.
And it shall come to pass when Yahweh thy God shall bring thee into the land which thou art entering to possess, then shalt thou put the blessing, upon Mount Gerizim, and the curse, upon Mount Ebal.
30 One su s onu stranu Jordana, iduæi k zapadu, u zemlji Hananeja koji žive u ravni prema Galgalu kod ravnice Moreške.
Are, they, not over the Jordan on the way towards the entering in of the sun, in the land of the Canaanite who dwelleth in the plain over against Gilgal beside the Teacher’s Terebinths?
31 Jer æete prijeæi preko Jordana da uðete u zemlju koju vam daje Gospod Bog vaš da je naslijedite, i naslijediæete je i nastavaæete u njoj.
For ye are passing over the Jordan, to enter to possess the land which Yahweh your God, is giving unto you, —so shall ye possess it and dwell therein.
32 Gledajte dakle da tvorite sve ove uredbe i zakone koje ja danas iznosim pred vas.
Therefore shall ye observe to do all the statutes and the regulations, —which I am setting before you to-day.
