2 Timoteju 1
1 Od Pavla, apostola Isusa Hrista po volji Božijoj za obeæanje života u Isusu Hristu,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, according to a promise of life that [is] in Christ Jesus,
2 Timotiju, ljubaznome sinu, blagodat, milost, mir od Boga oca i Hrista Isusa Gospoda našega.
to Timotheus, beloved child: Grace, kindness, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!
3 Zahvaljujem Bogu, kojemu služim od praroditelja èistom savjesti, što bez prestanka imam spomen za tebe u molitvama svojijem dan i noæ,
I am thankful to God, whom I serve from progenitors in a pure conscience, that I unceasingly have remembrance concerning you in my supplications night and day,
4 Želeæi da te vidim, opominjuæi se suza tvojijeh, da se radosti ispunim;
desiring to see you greatly, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy,
5 Opominjuæi se nelicemjerne u tebi vjere koja se useli najprije u babu tvoju Loidu i u mater tvoju Evnikiju; a uvjeren sam da je i u tebi;
taking remembrance of the unhypocritical faith that is in you, that first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that also in you.
6 Zaradi kojega uzroka napominjem ti da pogrijevaš dar Božij koji je u tebi kako sam metnuo ruke svoje na tebe.
For which cause I remind you to stir up the gift of God that is in you through the putting on of my hands,
7 Jer nam Bog ne dade duha straha, nego sile i ljubavi i èistote.
for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind;
8 Ne postidi se dakle svjedoèanstva Gospoda našega Isusa Hrista, ni mene sužnja njegova; nego postradaj s jevanðeljem Hristovijem po sili Boga,
therefore you may not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but you suffer evil along with the good news according to the power of God,
9 Koji nas spase i prizva zvanjem svetijem, ne po djelima našima, nego po svojoj naredbi i blagodati, koja nam je dana u Hristu Isusu prije vremena vjeènijeh; (aiōnios g166)
who saved us, and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages, (aiōnios g166)
10 A sad se pokaza u dolasku spasitelja našega Isusa Hrista, koji raskopa smrt, i obasja život i neraspadljivost jevanðeljem;
and was made visible now through the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who indeed abolished death, and enlightened life and immortality through the good news,
11 Za koje sam ja postavljen apostol i uèitelj neznabožaca.
to which I was placed a preacher and an apostle, and a teacher of nations,
12 Zaradi kojega uzroka i ovo stradam; ali se ne stidim, jer znam kome vjerovah, i uvjeren sam da je kadar amanet moj saèuvati za dan onaj.
for which cause these things I also suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I have known in whom I have believed, and have been persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed to Him—to that day.
13 Imaj u pameti obraz zdravijeh rijeèi koje si èuo od mene, u vjeri i ljubavi Hrista Isusa.
Hold the pattern of sound words, which you heard from me, in faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus;
14 Dobri amanet saèuvaj Duhom svetijem koji živi u nama.
guard the good thing committed through the Holy Spirit that is dwelling in us;
15 Znaš ovo da se odvratiše od mene svi u Aziji, meðu kojima je Figel i Ermogen.
you have known this, that they turned from me—all those in Asia, of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes;
16 A Gospod da da milost Onisiforovu domu; jer me mnogo puta utješi, i okova mojijeh ne postidje se;
may the LORD give kindness to the house of Onesiphorus, because he refreshed me many times, and was not ashamed of my chain,
17 Nego došavši u Rim potraži me još s veæijem staranjem i naðe.
but being in Rome, he sought me very diligently and found [me];
18 Da da njemu Gospod da naðe milost od Gospoda u dan onaj. I u Efesu koliko mi posluži, ti znaš dobro.
may the LORD give to him to find kindness from the LORD in that day; and you very well know how much he ministered in Ephesus.
