1 I poèe Solomun zidati dom Gospodnji u Jerusalimu na brdu Moriji, koje bi pokazano Davidu ocu njegovu na mjestu koje bješe pripravio David, na gumnu Ornana Jevusejina.
And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where He had appeared unto David his father, on the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2 A poèe zidati drugoga dana drugoga mjeseca èetvrte godine carovanja svojega.
And he began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3 A ovako zasnova Solomun da zida dom Božji: u dužinu šezdeset lakata po staroj mjeri, a u širinu dvadeset lakata.
Now in this manner was the foundation laid of the house of God [at its] building [by] Solomon: The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4 A trijem koji bijaše pred dužinom uz širinu doma imaše dvadeset lakata, a u visinu sto i dvadeset; i obloži ga iznutra èistijem zlatom.
And the porch that was in the front of the length was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5 A dom veliki obloži drvetom jelovijem, potom ga obloži èistijem zlatom, i ozgo naèini palme i lance.
And the great house he ceiled with fir-wood, which he overlaid with pure gold, and he wrought thereon palm-trees and chains.
6 I obloži dom kamenjem dragim da je nakiæen, a zlato bijaše Parvajimsko.
And he overlaid the house with costly stones for ornament: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
7 Obloži zlatom dom, grede, pragove i zidove i vrata, i izreza heruvime po zidovima.
And he covered the house, the beams, the sills, and its walls, and its doors, with gold: and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
8 I naèini dom za svetinju nad svetinjama, dug uz širinu doma dvadeset lakata i širok dvadeset lakata, i obloži ga èistijem zlatom, kojega otide do šest stotina talanata.
And he made the most holy house, its length being in front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits: and he covered it with fine gold, [amounting] to six hundred talents.
9 A na kline dade pedeset sikala zlata; i klijeti obloži zlatom.
And the weight of the nails [amounted] to fifty shekels of gold. And the upper chambers he covered with gold.
10 I naèini u domu svetinje nad svetinjama dva heruvima, naprave umjetnièke, i obloži ih zlatom.
And he made in the most holy house two cherubim of sculpture work, and they overlaid them with gold.
11 I krila tijeh heruvima imahu u dužinu dvadeset lakata: jedno krilo bijaše od pet lakata, i ticaše u zid od doma, i drugo krilo bijaše od pet lakata, i ticaše u krilo drugoga heruvima;
And regarding the wings of the cherubim their length was twenty cubits; the wing of the one amounting to five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12 Tako i drugoga heruvima krilo bijaše od pet lakata, i ticaše u zid od doma, i drugo mu krilo bijaše od pet lakata i sastavljaše se s krilom drugoga heruvima.
And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits was joined closely to the wing of the other cherub.
13 Krila tijem heruvimima bijahu raširena na dvadeset lakata, a oni stajahu na nogama svojim, licem okrenutim u dom.
The wings of these cherubim [as they were] spread out were twenty cubits: and they were standing on their feet, and their faces were inward.
14 I naèini zavjes od porfire, od skerleta, od crvca i od tankoga platna, i po njemu naèini heruvime.
And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought thereon cherubim.
15 I naèini pred domom dva stupa, u visinu od trideset i pet lakata, i oglavlja ozgo na svakom od pet lakata.
And he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits in length, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16 I naèini lance kao u svetinji, i metnu ih na vrh stupova, i naèini sto šipaka, i metnu ih meðu lance.
And he made chains in the debir; and [others which] he placed on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and placed them on the chains.
17 I postavi stupove pred crkvom, jedan s desne strane a drugi s lijeve, i desni nazva Jahin a lijevi Voas.
And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Bo'az.
