1 Kraljevima 15
1 A osamnaeste godine carovanja Jerovoama sina Navatova zacari se Avijam nad Judom.
Then, in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam reigned over Judah.
2 I carova tri godine u Jerusalimu. A materi mu bješe ime Maha kæi Avesalomova.
He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.
3 On hoðaše u svijem grijesima oca svojega, koje je èinio pred njim, i ne bješe srce njegovo cijelo prema Gospodu Bogu njegovu kao srce Davida oca njegova.
And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him. Neither was his heart perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David, his father.
4 Ali radi Davida dade mu Gospod Bog njegov vidjelo u Jerusalimu podigav sina njegova nakon njega i utvrdiv Jerusalim;
But for the sake of David, the Lord his God gave to him a lamp in Jerusalem, so that he might raise up his son after him, and so that he might establish Jerusalem.
5 Jer je David èinio što je pravo pred Gospodom niti je otstupao od èega što mu je zapovjedio svega vijeka svojega osim stvari s Urijom Hetejinom.
For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and he had not declined from all of the things that he had instructed to him, during all the days of his life, except the matter of Uriah, the Hittite.
6 A rat bješe izmeðu Rovoama i Jerovoama do njegova vijeka.
Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam during the entire time of his life.
7 A ostala djela Avijamova i sve što je èinio nije li zapisano u dnevniku careva Judinijeh? A bijaše rat izmeðu Avijama i Jerovoama.
And the rest of the words of Abijam, and all that he did, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah? And there was fighting between Abijam and Jeroboam.
8 I Avijam poèinu kod otaca svojih, i pogreboše ga u gradu Davidovu, a na njegovo mjesto zacari se Asa sin njegov.
And Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa, his son, reigned in his place.
9 Godine dvadesete carovanja Jerovoamova nad Izrailjem zacari se Asa nad Judom.
Then, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam, the king of Israel, Asa reigned as king of Judah.
10 Èetrdeset i jednu godinu carova u Jerusalimu. A materi mu bješe ime Maha kæi Avesalomova.
And he reigned for forty-one years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.
11 I tvoraše Asa što je pravo pred Gospodom kao David otac mu.
And Asa did what was right before the sight of the Lord, just as his father David did.
12 Jer istrijebi adžuvane iz zemlje i ukide sve gadne bogove koje bjehu naèinili oci njegovi.
And he took away the effeminate from the land. And he purged all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.
13 I mater svoju Mahu svrže s vlasti, jer ona naèini idola u lugu; i Asa izlomi idola i sažeže na potoku Kedronu.
Moreover, he also removed his mother, Maacah, from being the leader in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in his sacred grove which she had consecrated. And he destroyed his grotto. And he shattered the very indecent idol, and he burned it at the torrent Kidron.
14 Ali visine ne biše oborene; ali srce Asino bješe cijelo prema Gospodu svega vijeka njegova.
But the high places, he did not take away. Yet truly, the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord during all his days.
15 I unese u dom Gospodnji što bješe posvetio otac njegov i što on posveti, srebro i zlato i sudove.
And he brought the things that his father had sanctified and vowed back to the house of the Lord: the silver, and the gold, and the vessels.
16 I bješe rat izmeðu Ase i Vase cara Izrailjeva svega vijeka njihova.
Now there was war between Asa and Baasha, the king of Israel, during all their days.
17 Jer Vasa car Izrailjev izide na Judu i stade zidati Ramu da ne da nikome otiæi k Asi caru Judinu ni od njega doæi.
And Baasha, the king of Israel, ascended against Judah. And he built up Ramah, so that no one would be able to exit or enter from the side of Asa, the king of Judah.
18 Ali Asa uzev sve srebro i zlato što bješe ostalo u riznici Gospodnjoj i u riznici doma careva dade ga slugama svojim, i posla ih car Asa Ven-Adadu sinu Tavrimona sina Esionova, caru Sirskom, koji stanovaše u Damasku, i poruèi:
And so, Asa took all the silver and the gold which had remained in the treasuries of the house of the Lord, and in the treasuries of the house of the king, and he gave it into the hands of his servants. And he sent them to Benhadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Syria, who was living in Damascus, saying:
19 Vjera je izmeðu mene i tebe, izmeðu oca tvojega i oca mojega; evo šaljem ti dar, srebro i zlato; hajde, pokvari vjeru koju imaš s Vasom carem Izrailjevim, eda bi otišao od mene.
“There is a pact between me and you, and between my father and your father. For this reason, I have sent to you gifts of silver and of gold. And I ask you to go and break your pact with Baasha, the king of Israel, so that he may withdraw from me.”
20 I posluša Ven-Adad cara Asu, i posla vojvode svoje na gradove Izrailjeve i pokori Ijon i Dan i Avel-Vetmahu i sav Hinerot i svu zemlju Neftalimovu.
Benhadad, acquiescing to king Asa, sent the leaders of his army against the cities of Israel. And they struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel, the house of Maacah, and all of Chinneroth, that is, all the land of Naphtali.
21 A kad Vasa to èu, presta zidati Ramu, i vrati se u Tersu.
And when Baasha had heard this, he ceased from fortifying Ramah, and he returned to Tirzah.
22 Tada car Asa sazva sav narod Judin, nikoga ne izuzimajuæi; te odnesoše kamenje iz Rame i drva, èim zidaše Vasa, i od njega sazida car Asa Gevu Venijaminovu i Mispu.
Then king Asa sent an announcement to all of Judah, saying, “Let no one be excused.” And they took away the stones from Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had fortified it. And from these things, king Asa built up Geba of Benjamin and Mizpah.
23 A ostala sva djela Asina i sva junaštva njegova, i što je god èinio i koje je gradove sagradio, nije li sve zapisano u dnevniku careva Judinijeh? Ali u starosti svojoj bolovaše od nogu.
Now all the rest of the words of Asa, and his entire strength, and all that he did, and the cities that he built, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Judah? Yet truly, in the time of his old age, he was afflicted in his feet.
24 I Asa poèinu kod otaca svojih, i bi pogreben kod otaca svojih u gradu Davida oca svojega. A na njegovo mjesto zacari se Josafat sin njegov.
And he slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the city of David, his father. And Jehoshaphat, his son, reigned in his place.
25 A Nadav sin Jerovoamov poèe carovati nad Izrailjem druge godine carovanja Asina nad Judom; i carova nad Izrailjem dvije godine.
Yet truly, Nadab, the son of Jeroboam, reigned over Israel, in the second year of Asa, the king of Judah. And he reigned over Israel for two years.
26 I èinjaše što je zlo pred Gospodom hodeæi putem oca svojega i u grijehu njegovu, kojim navede na grijeh Izrailja.
And he did what is evil in the sight of the Lord. And he walked in the ways of his father and in his sins, by which he caused Israel to sin.
27 I diže bunu na nj Vasa sin Ahijin od doma Isaharova, i ubi ga Vasa kod Givetona, koji bijaše Filistejski, kad Nadav i sav Izrailj bjehu opkolili Giveton.
Then Baasha, the son of Ahijah, from the house of Issachar, set an ambush against him, and he struck him down at Gibbethon, which is a city of the Philistines. For indeed, Nadab and all of Israel were laying siege to Gibbethon.
28 I tako ga ubi Vasa treæe godine carovanja Asina nad Judom, i zacari se na njegovo mjesto.
And so Baasha killed him in the third year of Asa, the king of Judah, and he reigned in his place.
29 A kad se zacari, pobi sav dom Jerovoamov, i ne ostavi nijedne duše od roda Jerovoamova dokle sve ne istrijebi po rijeèi Gospodnjoj, koju reèe preko sluge svojega Ahije Silomljanina,
And when he had reigned, he struck down the entire house of Jeroboam. He did not leave behind even one soul from his offspring, until he had wiped him away, in accord with the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by the hand of Ahijah, the Shilonite,
30 Za grijehe Jerovoamove, kojima je griješio i kojima je na grijeh naveo Izrailja, i za draženje kojim je dražio Gospoda Boga Izrailjeva.
because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had committed, and by which he had caused Israel to sin, and because of the offense by which he had provoked the Lord, the God of Israel.
31 A ostala djela Nadavova i sve što je èinio, nije li to zapisano u dnevniku careva Izrailjevijeh?
But the rest of the words of Nadab, and all that he did, were these not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
32 I bješe rat izmeðu Ase i Vase cara Izrailjeva svega vijeka njihova.
And there was war between Asa and Baasha, the king of Israel, during all their days.
33 Treæe godine carovanja Asina nad Judom zacari se Vasa sin Ahijin nad svijem Izrailjem u Tersi, i carova dvadeset i èetiri godine.
In the third year of Asa, the king of Judah, Baasha, the son of Ahijah, reigned over all of Israel, at Tirzah, for twenty-four years.
34 I èinjaše što je zlo pred Gospodom hodeæi putem Jerovoamovijem i u grijehu njegovu, kojim navede na grijeh Izrailja.
And he did evil in the sight of the Lord. And he walked in the ways of Jeroboam, and in his sins, by which he caused Israel to sin.
