1 A Venijamin rodi Velu prvenca svojega, Asvila drugoga, i Aru treæega,
And, Benjamin, begat Bela his firstborn, —Ashbel, the second, and Aharah, the third, —
2 Noja èetvrtoga, i Rafu petoga.
Nohah, the fourth, and Rapha, the fifth.
3 A sinovi Velini bijahu: Adar i Gira i Avijud,
And Bela had sons—Addar, and Gera, and Abihud, —
4 I Avisuja i Naman i Ahoja,
and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah, —
5 I Gira i Sefuvan i Uram.
and Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 A ovi bijahu sinovi Ehudovi, bijahu poglavari domova otaèkih onima koji življahu u Gavaji, te ih preseliše u Manahat:
And, these, are the sons of Ehud, —these, are the ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Geba, but they were carried away captive, unto Manahath;
7 Naman i Ahija i Gira, on ih preseli; i rodi Uzu i Ahijuda.
and, as for Naaman and Ahijah and Gera, the same, carried them captive, —and he begat Uzza and Ahihud.
8 A Sarajim, pošto ih posla, rodi sinove u zemlji Moavskoj s Usimom i Varom ženama svojim.
And, Shaharaim, begat children in the field of Moab, after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.
9 Rodi s Odesom ženom svojom Jovava i Siviju i Misu i Malhama,
Then begat he, of Hodesh his wife, —Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam;
10 I Jeusa i Sahiju i Mirmu; ti bijahu sinovi njegovi, poglavari domova otaèkih.
and Jeuz, and Sachia, and Mirmah, —these, were his sons, ancestral chiefs.
11 A s Usimom rodi Avitova i Elfala.
And, of Hushim, he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.
12 I sinovi Elfalovi bjehu: Ever i Misam i Samed; on sazida Onon i Lod i sela njegova;
And, the sons of Elpaal, Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, —he, built Ono, and Lod, and the villages thereof.
13 I Verija i Sema, koji bijahu poglavari domova otaèkih onima koji življahu u Ejalonu; oni istjeraše stanovnike Gatske;
And, as for Beriah and Shema, they, were ancestral chiefs to the inhabitants of Aijalon, —they, put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;
14 A Ahijo, Sasak i Jeremot,
and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth, —
15 I Zevadija i Arad i Ader,
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder, —
16 I Mihailo i Jespa i Joha bjehu sinovi Verijini;
and Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, sons of Beriah, —
17 A Zavadija i Mesulam i Ezekije i Ever,
and Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber, —
18 I Ismeraj i Jezlija i Jovav bjehu sinovi Elfalovi;
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab, sons of Elpaal, —
19 A Jakim i Zihrije i Zavdije,
and Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi—
20 I Elinaj i Ziltaj i Elilo,
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel, —
21 I Adaja i Veraja i Simrat bjehu sinovi Semini;
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, sons of Shimei, —
22 A Jesvan i Ever i Elilo,
and Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel, —
23 I Avdon i Zihrije i Anan,
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan, —
24 I Ananija i Elam i Antonija,
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah, —
25 I Jefedija i Fanuilo bjehu sinovi Sasakovi;
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel, sons of Shashak, —
26 A Samseraj i Searija i Gotolija,
and Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah, —
27 I Jaresija i Ilija i Zihrije bjehu sinovi Jeroamovi.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri, sons of Jeroham:
28 To bjehu poglavari domova otaèkih po porodicama svojim, i nastavahu u Jerusalimu.
these, were ancestral chiefs to their generations, chief men, —these, dwelt in Jerusalem;
29 A u Gavaonu nastavaše otac Gavaonu; a ženi mu bješe ime Maha.
And, in Gibeon, dwelt the father of Gibeon [Jeiel], the name of whose wife, was Maacah, —
30 A sin prvenac njegov bješe Avdon, pa Sur i Kis i Val i Nadav,
and his firstborn son, Abdon, and Zur and Kish, and Baal and Ner and Nadab, —
31 I Gedor i Ahijo i Zaher,
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher.
32 I Miklot, koji rodi Simeju. I oni življahu prema braæi svojoj u Jerusalimu s braæom svojom.
And, Mikloth, begat Shimeah, —moreover also, they, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, with their own brethren.
33 A Nir rodi Kisa; a Kis rodi Saula; a Saul rodi Jonatana i Malhisuja i Avinadava i Esvala.
So then, Ner, begat Kish, and, Kish, begat Saul, —and, Saul, begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 A sin Jonatanov bješe Merival; a Merival rodi Mihu;
And, the son of Jonathan, was Merib-baal, —and, Merib-baal, begat Micah.
35 A Mišini sinovi bjehu: Fiton i Meleh i Tareja i Ahaz.
And, the sons of Micah, were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 A Ahaz rodi Joadu; a Joada rodi Alemeta i Azmaveta i Zimrija. A Zimrije rodi Mosu;
And, Ahaz, begat Jehoaddah, and, Jehoaddah, begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, —and, Zimri, begat Moza;
37 A Mosa rodi Vineju; a njegov sin bješe Rafa, a njegov sin Eleasa, a njegov sin Asilo.
and, Moza, begat Binea, —Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
38 A Asilo imaše šest sinova, kojima su imena: Azrikam, Voheruj i Ismailo i Searija, i Ovadija i Anan. Ti svi bjehu sinovi Asilovi.
And, Azel, had six sons, and, these, were their names—Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obediah, and Hanan and Asah, —all these, were sons of Azel.
39 A sinovi Iseka brata njegova: Ulam prvenac mu, Jeus drugi, i Elifelet treæi.
And, the sons of Eshek his brother, were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 I bijahu sinovi Ulamovi junaci, koji natezahu luk, i imahu mnogo sinova i unuka, sto i pedeset. Svi ti bjehu od sinova Venijaminovijeh.
And the sons of Ulam became men that were heroes of valour, archers, with many sons, and sons’ sons, a hundred and fifty. All these, were of the sons of Benjamin.
