1 Sinovi Judini bjehu: Fares, Esron i Harmija i Or i Soval.
The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 A Reaja sin Sovalov rodi Jata, a Jat rodi Ahumaja i Lada. To su porodice Saratske.
And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
3 A ovo su od oca Itama: Jezrael i Jesma i Jedvas, a sestri njihovoj bješe ime Aselelfonija.
And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
4 I Fanuilo bješe otac Gedoru, i Eser otac Husin. To bijahu sinovi Ora prvenca Efrate oca Vitlejemcima.
And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
5 A Ashor otac Tekujanima imaše dvije žene, Elu i Naru.

6 I Nara mu rodi Ahuzama i Efera i Temana i Ahastara. To su sinovi Narini.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
7 A sinovi Elini: Sered, Jesoar i Etnan.
And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
8 A Kos rodi Anuva i Sovivu i porodice Aharila sina Arumova.
Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
9 A Javis bješe slavniji od svoje braæe, i mati mu nadje ime Javis govoreæi: rodih ga s bolom.
But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
10 I Javis prizva Boga Izrailjeva govoreæi: o da bi me blagoslovio i raširio meðe moje, i ruka tvoja da bi bila sa mnom, i da bi me saèuvao oda zla da me ne ucvijeli! I uèini Bog za što ga moli.
And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.

14 A Meonotaj rodi Ofru; a Seraja rodi Joava, oca onijeh što žive u dolini drvodjeljskoj, jer bijahu drvodjelje.
And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
15 A sinovi Haleva sina Jefonijina bijahu Ir, Ila i Nam. A sin Ilin bješe Kenez.
And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
16 A sinovi Jeleleilovi: Zif i Zifa, Tirija i Asareilo.
And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
17 A sinovi Ezrini: Jeter i Mered i Efer i Jalon; a žena Meredova rodi Marijama i Samaja i Jesvu, oca Estemoji.
And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
18 A žena njegova Judija rodi Jereda oca Gedoru, i Evera oca Sohotu, i Jekutila oca Zanoji. A to bijahu sinovi Vitije kæeri Faraonove, kojom se oženi Mered.
Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
19 A sinovi žene Odijine sestre Nama oca Keili bijahu Garmija i Estemoja Mahaæanin.
And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
20 A sinovi Simonovi: Amnon i Rina i Ven-Anan i Tilon. A sinovi Jesejevi: Zohet i Ven-Zohet.
And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
21 A sinovi Sile sina Judina: Ir otac Lihu, i Lada otac Marisi, i porodice doma platnarskoga, doma Asvejina.
The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
22 I Jokim i Hasivljani, i Joas i Saraf, koji vladahu u Moavskoj, i Jasuvi-Lehem. Ali to su stare stvari.
And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.
23 To bijahu lonèari i življahu u sadovima i zabranima, i bijahu ondje kod cara za njegove poslove.
These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
24 Sinovi Simeunovi: Nemuilo i Jamin, Jariv, Zera, Saul;
The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
25 A njegov sin Salum, a njegov sin Mivsam, a njegov sin Misma.
Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
26 A sinovi Mismini: Amuilo sin mu, i njegov sin Zahur, i njegov sin Simej.
And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
27 A Simej imaše šesnaest sinova i šest kæeri; a braæa njegova nemahu mnogo sinova, i sve porodice njihove ne bješe tako mnogo kao sinova Judinijeh.
And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.
28 A življahu u Virsaveji i Moladi i Asar-Sualu,
And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
29 I u Vali i u Asemu i u Toladu,
And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
30 I u Vetuilu i u Ormi i u Siklagu,
And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
31 I u Vet-Marhavotu i u Asar-Susimu i u Vet-Vireju i u Saraimu. To bjehu gradovi njihovi do cara Davida.
And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.
32 A sela njihova bijahu Itam i Ajin, Rimon i Tohen i Asan, pet gradova,
And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
33 I sva sela njihova što bijahu oko tijeh gradova do Vala. To bijahu stanovi njihovi po rodu njihovu.
And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
34 A Mesovav i Jamlih i Josa sin Amasijin,
And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
35 I Joilo i Juj sin Josivije sina Seraje sina Asilova,
And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
36 I Elioinaj i Jakova i Jesohaja i Asaja i Adilo i Jesimilo i Venaja,
And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 I Zisa sin Sifija sina Alona sina Jedaje sina Simrija sina Semajina;
And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
38 Ti imenovani bijahu knezovi u porodicama svojim, i domovi otaca njihovijeh umnožiše se veoma.
These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
39 I zato otidoše u Gedor do istoène strane doline da traže pašu stoci svojoj.
And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
40 I naðoše pašu obilatu i dobru i zemlju prostranu i mirnu i rodnu, jer prije ondje življahu koji bijahu od Hama.
And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
41 Ti dakle zapisani po imenu došavši za Jezekije cara Judina razbiše šatore njihove i stanovnike koji se naðoše ondje, i pobiše ih kao proklete da ne osta nijedan do danas, i naseliše se mjesto njih, jer ondje bijaše paše za stoku njihovu.
And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
42 A izmeðu njih, sinova Simeunovijeh, izide na goru Sir pet stotina ljudi, a poglavice im bijahu Felatija i Nearija i Refaja i Ozilo, sinovi Jesejevi.
And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
43 I pobiše ostatak što bijahu utekli izmeðu Amalika, i naseliše se ondje do današnjega dana.
And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
