"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: "He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lampstands says these things:
2 tava kriyaa. h "srama. h sahi. s.nutaa ca mama gocaraa. h, tva. m du. s.taan so. dhu. m na "sakno. si ye ca preritaa na santa. h svaan preritaan vadanti tva. m taan pariik. sya m. r.saabhaa. si. no vij naatavaan,
"I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.
3 apara. m tva. m titik. saa. m vidadhaasi mama naamaartha. m bahu so. dhavaanasi tathaapi na paryyaklaamyastadapi jaanaami|
You have perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and have not grown weary.
4 ki nca tava viruddha. m mayaitat vaktavya. m yat tava prathama. m prema tvayaa vyahiiyata|
But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
5 ata. h kuta. h patito. asi tat sm. rtvaa mana. h paraavarttya puurvviiyakriyaa. h kuru na cet tvayaa manasi na parivarttite. aha. m tuur. nam aagatya tava diipav. rk. sa. m svasthaanaad apasaarayi. syaami|
Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you, and will move your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent.
6 tathaapi tave. sa gu. no vidyate yat niikalaayatiiyalokaanaa. m yaa. h kriyaa aham. rtiiye taastvamapi. rtiiyame|
But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 yasya "srotra. m vidyate sa samitii. h pratyucyamaanaam aatmana. h kathaa. m "s. r.notu| yo jano jayati tasmaa aham ii"svarasyaaraamasthajiivanataro. h phala. m bhoktu. m daasyaami|
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Do not be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes won't be harmed by the second death.
12 apara. m pargaamasthasamite rduuta. m pratiida. m likha, yastiik. s.na. m dvidhaara. m kha"nga. m dhaarayati sa eva bhaa. sate|
"To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: "He who has the sharp two-edged sword says these things:
13 tava kriyaa mama gocaraa. h, yatra "sayataanasya si. mhaasana. m tatraiva tva. m vasasi tadapi jaanaami| tva. m mama naama dhaarayasi madbhakterasviikaarastvayaa na k. rto mama vi"svaasyasaak. si. na aantipaa. h samaye. api na k. rta. h| sa tu yu. smanmadhye. aghaani yata. h "sayataanastatraiva nivasati|

But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.
15 tathaa niikalaayatiiyaanaa. m "sik. saavalambinastava kecit janaa api santi tadevaaham. rtiiye|
So you also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise.
16 ato hetostva. m mana. h parivarttaya na cedaha. m tvarayaa tava samiipamupasthaaya madvaktasthakha"ngena tai. h saha yotsyaami|
Repent therefore, or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 yasya "srotra. m vidyate sa samitii. h pratyucyamaanaam aatmana. h kathaa. m "s. r.notu| yo jano jayati tasmaa aha. m guptamaannaa. m bhoktu. m daasyaami "subhraprastaramapi tasmai daasyaami tatra prastare nuutana. m naama likhita. m tacca grahiitaara. m vinaa naanyena kenaapyavagamyate|
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.

"I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.
20 tathaapi tava viruddha. m mayaa ki ncid vaktavya. m yato yaa ii. sebalnaamikaa yo. sit svaa. m bhavi. syadvaadinii. m manyate ve"syaagamanaaya devaprasaadaa"sanaaya ca mama daasaan "sik. sayati bhraamayati ca saa tvayaa na nivaaryyate|
But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 aha. m mana. hparivarttanaaya tasyai samaya. m dattavaan kintu saa sviiyave"syaakriyaato mana. hparivarttayitu. m naabhila. sati|
I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
22 pa"syaaha. m taa. m "sayyaayaa. m nik. sepsyaami, ye tayaa saarddha. m vyabhicaara. m kurvvanti te yadi svakriyaabhyo manaa. msi na paraavarttayanti tarhi taanapi mahaakle"se nik. sepsyaami
Look, I will throw her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great oppression, unless they repent of her works.
23 tasyaa. h santaanaa. m"sca m. rtyunaa hani. syaami| tenaaham anta. hkara. naanaa. m manasaa ncaanusandhaanakaarii yu. smaakamekaikasmai ca svakriyaa. naa. m phala. m mayaa daatavyamiti sarvvaa. h samitayo j naasyanti|
I will kill her children with Death, and all the churches will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
24 aparam ava"si. s.taan thuyaatiirasthalokaan arthato yaavantastaa. m "sik. saa. m na dhaarayanti ye ca kai"scit "sayataanasya gambhiiraarthaa ucyante taan ye naavagatavantastaanaha. m vadaami yu. smaasu kamapyapara. m bhaara. m naaropayi. syaami;
But to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as do not have this teaching, who do not know what some call 'the deep things of Satan,' to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.
25 kintu yad yu. smaaka. m vidyate tat mamaagamana. m yaavad dhaarayata|
Nevertheless, hold that which you have firmly until I come.
26 yo jano jayati "se. saparyyanta. m mama kriyaa. h paalayati ca tasmaa aham anyajaatiiyaanaam aadhipatya. m daasyaami;
He who overcomes, and he who keeps my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.
27 pit. rto mayaa yadvat kart. rtva. m labdha. m tadvat so. api lauhada. n.dena taan caarayi. syati tena m. rdbhaajanaaniiva te cuur. naa bhavi. syanti|
He will rule them with an iron scepter, shattering them like clay pots; as I also have received of my Father:
28 aparam aha. m tasmai prabhaatiiyataaraam api daasyaami|
and I will give him the morning star.
