1 anantara. m parimaa. nada. n.davad eko nalo mahyamadaayi, sa ca duuta upati. s.than maam avadat, utthaaye"svarasya mandira. m vedii. m tatratyasevakaa. m"sca mimii. sva|
And a reed like a rod was given to me; and it was said: Rise and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those who worship in it.
2 kintu mandirasya bahi. hpraa"nga. na. m tyaja na mimii. sva yatastad anyajaatiiyebhyo datta. m, pavitra. m nagara nca dvicatvaari. m"sanmaasaan yaavat te. saa. m cara. nai rmarddi. syate|
But the court that is without the temple leave out, and measure it not: for it is given to the Gentiles, and the holy city they shall tread under foot forty-two months.
3 pa"scaat mama dvaabhyaa. m saak. sibhyaa. m mayaa saamarthya. m daayi. syate taavu. s.tralomajavastraparihitau. sa. s.thyadhikadvi"sataadhikasahasradinaani yaavad bhavi. syadvaakyaani vadi. syata. h|
And I will give to my two witnesses, that they may prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 taaveva jagadii"svarasyaantike ti. s.thantau jitav. rk. sau diipav. rk. sau ca|
These are the two olive trees, and the two lamps that stand before the Lord of the earth.
5 yadi kecit tau hi. msitu. m ce. s.tante tarhi tayo rvadanaabhyaam agni rnirgatya tayo. h "satruun bhasmiikari. syati| ya. h ka"scit tau hi. msitu. m ce. s.tate tenaivameva vina. s.tavya. m|
And if any man will injure them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies; and if any one will injure them, he must be killed in this way.
6 tayo rbhavi. syadvaakyakathanadine. su yathaa v. r.s. ti rna jaayate tathaa gagana. m roddhu. m tayo. h saamarthyam asti, apara. m toyaani "so. nitaruupaa. ni karttu. m nijaabhilaa. saat muhurmuhu. h sarvvavidhada. n.dai. h p. rthiviim aahantu nca tayo. h saamarthyamasti|
These have authority to shut heaven, that it may not rain in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they wish.
7 apara. m tayo. h saak. sye samaapte sati rasaatalaad yenotthitavya. m sa pa"sustaabhyaa. m saha yuddhvaa tau je. syati hani. syati ca| (Abyssos g12)
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. (Abyssos g12)
8 tatastayo.h prabhurapi yasyaa.m mahaapuryyaa.m kru"se hato.arthato yasyaa.h paaramaarthikanaamanii sidoma.m misara"sceti tasyaa mahaapuryyaa.m.h sannive"se tayo.h ku.nape sthaasyata.h|
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which, spiritually, is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 tato naanaajaatiiyaa naanaava. m"siiyaa naanaabhaa. saavaadino naanaade"siiyaa"sca bahavo maanavaa. h saarddhadinatraya. m tayo. h ku. nape niriik. si. syante, tayo. h ku. napayo. h "sma"saane sthaapana. m naanuj naasyanti|
And some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half, and will not suffer their dead bodies to be put into sepulchers.
10 p. rthiviinivaasina"sca tayo rhetoraanandi. syanti sukhabhoga. m kurvvanta. h paraspara. m daanaani pre. sayi. syanti ca yatastaabhyaa. m bhavi. syadvaadibhyaa. m p. rthiviinivaasino yaatanaa. m praaptaa. h|
And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwelt on the earth.
11 tasmaat saarddhadinatrayaat param ii"svaraat jiivanadaayaka aatmani tau pravi. s.te tau cara. nairudati. s.thataa. m, tena yaavantastaavapa"syan te. atiiva traasayuktaa abhavan|
And after the three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
12 tata. h para. m tau svargaad uccairida. m kathayanta. m ravam a"s. r.nutaa. m yuvaa. m sthaanam etad aarohataa. m tatastayo. h "satru. su niriik. samaa. ne. su tau meghena svargam aaruu. dhavantau|
And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.
13 tadda. n.de mahaabhuumikampe jaate puryyaa da"samaa. m"sa. h patita. h saptasahasraa. ni maanu. saa"sca tena bhuumikampena hataa. h, ava"si. s.taa"sca bhaya. m gatvaa svargiiye"svarasya pra"sa. msaam akiirttayan|
And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and in the earthquake there were slain names of men, seven thousand: and the rest were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 dvitiiya. h santaapo gata. h pa"sya t. rtiiya. h santaapastuur. nam aagacchati|
The second woe is past: behold, the third woe comes quickly.
15 anantara. m saptaduutena tuuryyaa. m vaaditaayaa. m svarga uccai. h svarairvaagiya. m kiirttitaa, raajatva. m jagato yadyad raajya. m tadadhunaabhavat| asmatprabhostadiiyaabhi. siktasya taarakasya ca| tena caanantakaaliiya. m raajatva. m prakari. syate|| (aiōn g165)
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of the world has become our Lord’s and his Christ’s, and he shall reign from age to age. (aiōn g165)
16 aparam ii"svarasyaantike svakiiyasi. mhaasane. suupavi. s.taa"scaturvi. m"satipraaciinaa bhuvi nya"nbhuukhaa bhuutve"svara. m pra. namyaavadan,
And the twenty-four elders that sat before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God,
17 he bhuuta varttamaanaapi bhavi. sya. m"sca pare"svara| he sarvva"saktiman svaamin vaya. m te kurmmahe stava. m| yat tvayaa kriyate raajya. m g. rhiitvaa te mahaabala. m|
saying: We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and who wast, because thou hast taken thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 vijaatiiye. su kupyatsu praadurbhuutaa tava krudhaa| m. rtaanaamapi kaalo. asau vicaaro bhavitaa yadaa| bh. rtyaa"sca tava yaavanto bhavi. syadvaadisaadhava. h|ye ca k. sudraa mahaanto vaa naamataste hi bibhyati| yadaa sarvvebhya etebhyo vetana. m vitari. syate| gantavya"sca yadaa naa"so vasudhaayaa vinaa"sakai. h||
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldst give reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to those who fear thy name, both small and great, and that thou shouldst destroy those who corrupt the earth.
19 anantaram ii"svarasya svargasthamandirasya dvaara. m mukta. m tanmandiramadhye ca niyamama njuu. saa d. r"syaabhavat, tena ta. dito ravaa. h stanitaani bhuumikampo gurutara"silaav. r.s. ti"scaitaani samabhavan|
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple, the ark of the covenant of the Lord; and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
