Paul a prisoner of Christ Jesus and Timothy [our] brother To Philemon the beloved and fellow worker of us
2 priyaam aappiyaa. m sahasenaam aarkhippa. m philiimonasya g. rhe sthitaa. m samiti nca prati patra. m likhata. h|
and to Apphia (our sister *N(K)O*) and to Archippus the fellow soldier of us and to the at [the] house of you church:
3 asmaaka. m taata ii"svara. h prabhu ryii"sukhrii. s.ta"sca yu. smaan prati "saantim anugraha nca kriyaastaa. m|
Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
4 prabhu. m yii"su. m prati sarvvaan pavitralokaan prati ca tava premavi"svaasayo rv. rttaanta. m ni"samyaaha. m
I thank the God of mine always mention of you making upon the prayers of mine,
5 praarthanaasamaye tava naamoccaarayan nirantara. m mame"svara. m dhanya. m vadaami|
hearing of your love and the faith that you have (toward *NK(o)*) the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,
6 asmaasu yadyat saujanya. m vidyate tat sarvva. m khrii. s.ta. m yii"su. m yat prati bhavatiiti j naanaaya tava vi"svaasamuulikaa daana"siilataa yat saphalaa bhavet tadaham icchaami|
so that the fellowship of the faith of you effective may become in [the] acknowledgment of every good [thing] that [is] in (us *N(K)O*) in Christ (Jesus. *K*)
7 he bhraata. h, tvayaa pavitralokaanaa. m praa. na aapyaayitaa abhavan etasmaat tava premnaasmaaka. m mahaan aananda. h saantvanaa ca jaata. h|
(Joy *NK(O)*) for great (I have *N(K)O*) and encouragement by occasion of the love of you, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
8 tvayaa yat karttavya. m tat tvaam aaj naapayitu. m yadyapyaha. m khrii. s.tenaatiivotsuko bhaveya. m tathaapi v. rddha
Therefore much in Christ boldness having to order you what [is] befitting
9 idaanii. m yii"sukhrii. s.tasya bandidaasa"scaivambhuuto ya. h paula. h so. aha. m tvaa. m vinetu. m vara. m manye|
for the sake of love rather I exhort [you], such a one being as Paul aged now then also a prisoner of Christ Jesus;
10 ata. h "s. r"nkhalabaddho. aha. m yamajanaya. m ta. m madiiyatanayam onii. simam adhi tvaa. m vinaye|
I exhort you for my child whom I have begotten in the chains (of mine *K*) Onesimus,
11 sa puurvva. m tavaanupakaaraka aasiit kintvidaanii. m tava mama copakaarii bhavati|
once to you useless now however (both *n*) to you and to me myself useful,
12 tamevaaha. m tava samiipa. m pre. sayaami, ato madiiyapraa. nasvaruupa. h sa tvayaanug. rhyataa. m|
whom I have sent back (to you *N(K)O*) (now *k*) in person — who is my very heart — (do yourself receive. *K*)
13 susa. mvaadasya k. rte "s. r"nkhalabaddho. aha. m paricaarakamiva ta. m svasannidhau varttayitum aiccha. m|
whom I myself was wishing with myself to keep, so that on behalf of you me he may serve in the chains of the gospel;
14 kintu tava saujanya. m yad balena na bhuutvaa svecchaayaa. h phala. m bhavet tadartha. m tava sammati. m vinaa kimapi karttavya. m naamanye|
Apart from however your consent no [thing] I wished to do, so that not as according to necessity the good of you may be but according to willingness.
15 ko jaanaati k. sa. nakaalaartha. m tvattastasya vicchedo. abhavad etasyaayam abhipraayo yat tvam anantakaalaartha. m ta. m lapsyase (aiōnios g166)
Perhaps for because of this he was separated [from you] for a time, so that eternally him you may possess; (aiōnios g166)
16 puna rdaasamiva lapsyase tannahi kintu daasaat "sre. s.tha. m mama priya. m tava ca "saariirikasambandhaat prabhusambandhaacca tato. adhika. m priya. m bhraataramiva|
no longer no longer as a slave but above a slave, a brother beloved, especially to me myself, how much however more to you both in [the] flesh and in [the] Lord?
17 ato heto ryadi maa. m sahabhaagina. m jaanaasi tarhi maamiva tamanug. rhaa. na|
If therefore me you consider a partner, do yourself receive him as me myself.
18 tena yadi tava kimapyaparaaddha. m tubhya. m kimapi dhaaryyate vaa tarhi tat mameti viditvaa ga. naya|
If however in any way he has wronged you or he owes [you], this to me myself do charge.
19 aha. m tat pari"sotsyaami, etat paulo. aha. m svahastena likhaami, yatastva. m svapraa. naan api mahya. m dhaarayasi tad vaktu. m necchaami|
I myself Paul did write with my own hand, I myself will repay [it]; that not I may say to you that even yourself to me you owe also.
20 bho bhraata. h, prabho. h k. rte mama vaa nchaa. m puuraya khrii. s.tasya k. rte mama praa. naan aapyaayaya|
Yes, brother, I myself from you I would have profit in [the] Lord; do refresh my heart in (Christ. *N(K)O*)
21 tavaaj naagraahitve vi"svasya mayaa etat likhyate mayaa yaducyate tato. adhika. m tvayaa kaari. syata iti jaanaami|
Having been persuaded of the obedience of you I write to you knowing that even above (what [things] *N(k)O*) I say you will do.
22 tatkara. nasamaye madarthamapi vaasag. rha. m tvayaa sajjiikriyataa. m yato yu. smaaka. m praarthanaanaa. m phalaruupo vara ivaaha. m yu. smabhya. m daayi. sye mameti pratyaa"saa jaayate|
At the same time now also do prepare for me a lodging; I hope for that through the prayers of you I will be granted to you.
23 khrii. s.tasya yii"saa. h k. rte mayaa saha bandiripaaphraa
(He greets *N(K)O*) you Epaphras fellow prisoner of mine in Christ Jesus,
24 mama sahakaari. no maarka aari. s.taarkho diimaa luuka"sca tvaa. m namaskaara. m vedayanti|
[as do] Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, [and] Luke, the fellow workers of mine.
25 asmaaka. m prabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasyaanugraho yu. smaakam aatmanaa saha bhuuyaat| aamen|
