For this cause, I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you the nations,
2 yu. smadartham ii"svare. na mahya. m dattasya varasya niyama. h kiid. r"sastad yu. smaabhira"sraaviiti manye|
if, indeed, ye did hear of the dispensation of the grace of God that was given to me in regard to you,
3 arthata. h puurvva. m mayaa sa. mk. sepe. na yathaa likhita. m tathaaha. m prakaa"sitavaakyene"svarasya niguu. dha. m bhaava. m j naapito. abhava. m|
that by revelation He made known to me the secret, according as I wrote before in few [words] —
4 ato yu. smaabhistat pa. thitvaa khrii. s.tamadhi tasminniguu. dhe bhaave mama j naana. m kiid. r"sa. m tad bhotsyate|
in regard to which ye are able, reading [it], to understand my knowledge in the secret of the Christ,
5 puurvvayuge. su maanavasantaanaasta. m j naapitaa naasan kintvadhunaa sa bhaavastasya pavitraan preritaan bhavi. syadvaadina"sca pratyaatmanaa prakaa"sito. abhavat;
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it was now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit —
6 arthata ii"svarasya "sakte. h prakaa"saat tasyaanugrahe. na yo varo mahyam adaayi tenaaha. m yasya susa. mvaadasya paricaarako. abhava. m,
that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,
7 tadvaaraa khrii. s.tena bhinnajaatiiyaa anyai. h saarddham ekaadhikaaraa eka"sariiraa ekasyaa. h pratij naayaa a. m"sina"sca bhavi. syantiiti|
of which I became a ministrant, according to the gift of the grace of God that was given to me, according to the working of His power;
8 sarvve. saa. m pavitralokaanaa. m k. sudratamaaya mahya. m varo. ayam adaayi yad bhinnajaatiiyaanaa. m madhye bodhaagayasya gu. nanidhe. h khrii. s.tasya ma"ngalavaarttaa. m pracaarayaami,
to me — the less than the least of all the saints — was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news — the untraceable riches of the Christ,
9 kaalaavasthaata. h puurvvasmaacca yo niguu. dhabhaava ii"svare gupta aasiit tadiiyaniyama. m sarvvaan j naapayaami| (aiōn g165)
and to cause all to see what [is] the fellowship of the secret that hath been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ, (aiōn g165)
10 yata ii"svarasya naanaaruupa. m j naana. m yat saamprata. m samityaa svarge praadhaanyaparaakramayuktaanaa. m duutaanaa. m nika. te prakaa"syate tadartha. m sa yii"sunaa khrii. s.tena sarvvaa. ni s. r.s. tavaan|
that there might be made known now to the principalities and the authorities in the heavenly [places], through the assembly, the manifold wisdom of God,
11 yato vaya. m yasmin vi"svasya d. r.dhabhaktyaa nirbhayataam ii"svarasya samaagame saamarthya nca
according to a purpose of the ages, which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord, (aiōn g165)
12 praaptavantastamasmaaka. m prabhu. m yii"su. m khrii. s.tamadhi sa kaalaavasthaayaa. h puurvva. m ta. m manoratha. m k. rtavaan| (aiōn g165)
in whom we have the freedom and the access in confidence through the faith of him,
13 ato. aha. m yu. smannimitta. m du. hkhabhogena klaanti. m yanna gacchaamiiti praarthaye yatastadeva yu. smaaka. m gaurava. m|
wherefore, I ask [you] not to faint in my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14 ato heto. h svargap. rthivyo. h sthita. h k. rtsno va. m"so yasya naamnaa vikhyaatastam
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 asmatprabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasya pitaramuddi"syaaha. m jaanunii paatayitvaa tasya prabhaavanidhito varamima. m praarthaye|
of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
16 tasyaatmanaa yu. smaakam aantarikapuru. sasya "sakte rv. rddhi. h kriyataa. m|
that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, with might to be strengthened through His Spirit, in regard to the inner man,
17 khrii. s.tastu vi"svaasena yu. smaaka. m h. rdaye. su nivasatu| prema. ni yu. smaaka. m baddhamuulatva. m susthiratva nca bhavatu|
that the Christ may dwell through the faith in your hearts, in love having been rooted and founded,
18 ittha. m prasthataayaa diirghataayaa gabhiirataayaa uccataayaa"sca bodhaaya sarvvai. h pavitralokai. h praapya. m saamarthya. m yu. smaabhi rlabhyataa. m,
that ye may be in strength to comprehend, with all the saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 j naanaatirikta. m khrii. s.tasya prema j naayataam ii"svarasya sampuur. nav. rddhiparyyanta. m yu. smaaka. m v. rddhi rbhavatu ca|
to know also the love of the Christ that is exceeding the knowledge, that ye may be filled — to all the fulness of God;
20 asmaakam antare yaa "sakti. h prakaa"sate tayaa sarvvaatirikta. m karmma kurvvan asmaaka. m praarthanaa. m kalpanaa ncaatikramitu. m ya. h "saknoti
and to Him who is able above all things to do exceeding abundantly what we ask or think, according to the power that is working in us,
