I command you therefore before God and Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his Kingdom:

2 tva. m vaakya. m gho. saya kaale. akaale cotsuko bhava puur. nayaa sahi. s.nutayaa "sik. sayaa ca lokaan prabodhaya bhartsaya vinayasva ca|

preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with all patience and teaching.

3 yata etaad. r"sa. h samaya aayaati yasmin lokaa yathaartham upade"sam asahyamaanaa. h kar. naka. n.duuyanavi"si. s.taa bhuutvaa nijaabhilaa. saat "sik. sakaan sa. mgrahii. syanti

For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts;

4 satyamataacca "srotraa. ni nivarttya vipathagaamino bhuutvopaakhyaane. su pravartti. syante;

and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to myths.

5 kintu tva. m sarvvavi. saye prabuddho bhava du. hkhabhoga. m sviikuru susa. mvaadapracaarakasya karmma saadhaya nijaparicaryyaa. m puur. natvena kuru ca|

But you be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

6 mama praa. naanaam utsargo bhavati mama prasthaanakaala"scopaati. s.that|

For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.

7 aham uttamayuddha. m k. rtavaan gantavyamaargasyaanta. m yaavad dhaavitavaan vi"svaasa nca rak. sitavaan|

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.

8 "se. sa. m pu. nyamuku. ta. m madartha. m rak. sita. m vidyate tacca tasmin mahaadine yathaarthavicaarake. na prabhunaa mahya. m daayi. syate kevala. m mahyam iti nahi kintu yaavanto lokaastasyaagamanam aakaa"nk. sante tebhya. h sarvvebhyo. api daayi. syate|

From now on, there is stored up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

9 tva. m tvarayaa matsamiipam aagantu. m yatasva,

Be diligent to come to me soon,

16 mama prathamapratyuttarasamaye ko. api mama sahaayo naabhavat sarvve maa. m paryyatyajan taan prati tasya do. sasya ga. nanaa na bhuuyaat;

But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the non-Jewish people might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

18 apara. m sarvvasmaad du. skarmmata. h prabhu rmaam uddhari. syati nijasvargiiyaraajya. m netu. m maa. m taarayi. syati ca| tasya dhanyavaada. h sadaakaala. m bhuuyaat| aamen| (aiōn g165)

And the Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
