1 tasya sahaayaa vaya. m yu. smaan praarthayaamahe, ii"svarasyaanugraho yu. smaabhi rv. rthaa na g. rhyataa. m|

But [as] fellow-workmen, we also beseech that ye receive not the grace of God in vain:

2 tenoktametat, sa. m"sro. syaami "subhe kaale tvadiiyaa. m praarthanaam aha. m| upakaara. m kari. syaami paritraa. nadine tava| pa"syataaya. m "subhakaala. h pa"syateda. m traa. nadina. m|

(for he says, I have listened to thee in an accepted time, and I have helped thee in a day of salvation: behold, now [is the] well-accepted time; behold, now [the] day of salvation: )

3 asmaaka. m paricaryyaa yanni. skala"nkaa bhavet tadartha. m vaya. m kutraapi vighna. m na janayaama. h,

giving no manner of offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed;

4 kintu pracurasahi. s.nutaa kle"so dainya. m vipat taa. danaa kaaraabandhana. m nivaasahiinatva. m pari"sramo jaagara. nam upavasana. m

but in everything commending ourselves as God's ministers, in much endurance, in afflictions, in necessities, in straits,

5 nirmmalatva. m j naana. m m. rdu"siilataa hitai. sitaa

in stripes, in prisons, in riots, in labours, in watchings, in fastings,

6 pavitra aatmaa ni. skapa. ta. m prema satyaalaapa ii"svariiya"sakti

in pureness, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in kindness, in [the] Holy Spirit, in love unfeigned,

7 rdak. si. navaamaabhyaa. m karaabhyaa. m dharmmaastradhaara. na. m

in [the] word of truth, in [the] power of God; through the arms of righteousness on the right hand and left,

8 maanaapamaanayorakhyaatisukhyaatyo rbhaagitvam etai. h sarvvairii"svarasya pra"sa. msyaan paricaarakaan svaan prakaa"sayaama. h|

through glory and dishonour, through evil report and good report: as deceivers, and true;

9 bhramakasamaa vaya. m satyavaadino bhavaama. h, aparicitasamaa vaya. m suparicitaa bhavaama. h, m. rtakalpaa vaya. m jiivaama. h, da. n.dyamaanaa vaya. m na hanyaamahe,

as unknown, and well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as disciplined, and not put to death;

10 "sokayuktaa"sca vaya. m sadaanandaama. h, daridraa vaya. m bahuun dhanina. h kurmma. h, aki ncanaa"sca vaya. m sarvva. m dhaarayaama. h|

as grieved, but always rejoicing; as poor, but enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

11 he karinthina. h, yu. smaaka. m prati mamaasya. m mukta. m mamaanta. hkara. naa nca vikasita. m|

Our mouth is opened to you, Corinthians, our heart is expanded.

12 yuuya. m mamaantare na sa"nkocitaa. h ki nca yuuyameva sa"nkocitacittaa. h|

Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your affections;

13 kintu mahya. m nyaayyaphaladaanaartha. m yu. smaabhirapi vikasitai rbhavitavyam ityaha. m nijabaalakaaniva yu. smaan vadaami|

but for an answering recompense, (I speak as to children, ) let your heart also expand itself.

14 aparam apratyayibhi. h saarddha. m yuuyam ekayuge baddhaa maa bhuuta, yasmaad dharmmaadharmmayo. h ka. h sambandho. asti? timire. na sarddha. m prabhaayaa vaa kaa tulanaasti?

Be not diversely yoked with unbelievers; for what participation [is there] between righteousness and lawlessness? or what fellowship of light with darkness?

15 biliiyaaladevena saaka. m khrii. s.tasya vaa kaa sandhi. h? avi"svaasinaa saarddha. m vaa vi"svaasilokasyaa. m"sa. h ka. h?

and what consent of Christ with Beliar, or what part for a believer along with an unbeliever?

16 ii"svarasya mandire. na saha vaa devapratimaanaa. m kaa tulanaa? amarasye"svarasya mandira. m yuuyameva| ii"svare. na tadukta. m yathaa, te. saa. m madhye. aha. m svaavaasa. m nidhaasyaami te. saa. m madhye ca yaataayaata. m kurvvan te. saam ii"svaro bhavi. syaami te ca mallokaa bhavi. syanti|

and what agreement of God's temple with idols? for ye are [the] living God's temple; according as God has said, I will dwell among them, and walk among [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be to me a people.

17 ato heto. h parame"svara. h kathayati yuuya. m te. saa. m madhyaad bahirbhuuya p. rthag bhavata, kimapyamedhya. m na sp. r"sata; tenaaha. m yu. smaan grahii. syaami,

Wherefore come out from the midst of them, and be separated, saith [the] Lord, and touch not [what is] unclean, and I will receive you;

18 yu. smaaka. m pitaa bhavi. syaami ca, yuuya nca mama kanyaaputraa bhavi. syatheti sarvva"saktimataa parame"svare. nokta. m|

and I will be to you for a Father, and ye shall be to me for sons and daughters, saith [the] Lord Almighty.
