1 apara nca vaya. m karu. naabhaajo bhuutvaa yad etat paricaarakapadam alabhaamahi naatra klaamyaama. h,
Therefore, having this ministry, as we have had mercy shewn us, we faint not.
2 kintu trapaayuktaani pracchannakarmmaa. ni vihaaya ku. tilataacara. namakurvvanta ii"svariiyavaakya. m mithyaavaakyairami"srayanta. h satyadharmmasya prakaa"sanene"svarasya saak. saat sarvvamaanavaanaa. m sa. mvedagocare svaan pra"sa. msaniiyaan dar"sayaama. h|
But we have rejected the hidden things of shame, not walking in deceit, nor falsifying the word of God, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.
3 asmaabhi rgho. sita. h susa. mvaado yadi pracchanna. h; syaat tarhi ye vina. mk. syanti te. saameva d. r.s. tita. h sa pracchanna. h;
But if also our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in those that are lost;
4 yata ii"svarasya pratimuurtti rya. h khrii. s.tastasya tejasa. h susa. mvaadasya prabhaa yat taan na diipayet tadartham iha lokasya devo. avi"svaasinaa. m j naananayanam andhiik. rtavaan etasyodaahara. na. m te bhavanti| (aiōn g165)
in whom the god of this world has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the radiancy of the glad tidings of the glory of the Christ, who is [the] image of God, should not shine forth [for them]. (aiōn g165)
5 vaya. m svaan gho. sayaama iti nahi kintu khrii. s.ta. m yii"su. m prabhumevaasmaa. m"sca yii"so. h k. rte yu. smaaka. m paricaarakaan gho. sayaama. h|
For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus Lord, and ourselves your bondmen for Jesus' sake.
6 ya ii"svaro madhyetimira. m prabhaa. m diipanaayaadi"sat sa yii"sukhrii. s.tasyaasya ii"svariiyatejaso j naanaprabhaayaa udayaartham asmaakam anta. hkara. ne. su diipitavaan|
Because [it is] the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in [the] face of [Jesus] Christ.
7 apara. m tad dhanam asmaabhi rm. r.nmaye. su bhaajane. su dhaaryyate yata. h saadbhutaa "sakti rnaasmaaka. m kintvii"svarasyaiveti j naatavya. m|
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassingness of the power may be of God, and not from us:
8 vaya. m pade pade pii. dyaamahe kintu naavasiidaama. h, vaya. m vyaakulaa. h santo. api nirupaayaa na bhavaama. h;
every way afflicted, but not straitened; seeing no apparent issue, but our way not entirely shut up;
9 vaya. m pradraavyamaanaa api na klaamyaama. h, nipaatitaa api na vina"syaama. h|
persecuted, but not abandoned; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 asmaaka. m "sariire khrii. s.tasya jiivana. m yat prakaa"seta tadartha. m tasmin "sariire yii"so rmara. namapi dhaarayaama. h|
always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body;
11 yii"so rjiivana. m yad asmaaka. m marttyadehe prakaa"seta tadartha. m jiivanto vaya. m yii"so. h k. rte nitya. m m. rtyau samarpyaamahe|
for we who live are always delivered unto death on account of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh;
12 ittha. m vaya. m m. rtyaakraantaa yuuya nca jiivanaakraantaa. h|
so that death works in us, but life in you.
13 vi"svaasakaara. naadeva samabhaa. si mayaa vaca. h| iti yathaa "saastre likhita. m tathaivaasmaabhirapi vi"svaasajanakam aatmaana. m praapya vi"svaasa. h kriyate tasmaacca vacaa. msi bhaa. syante|
And having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I have believed, therefore have I spoken; we also believe, therefore also we speak;
14 prabhu ryii"su ryenotthaapita. h sa yii"sunaasmaanapyutthaapayi. syati yu. smaabhi. h saarddha. m svasamiipa upasthaapayi. syati ca, vayam etat jaaniima. h|
knowing that he who has raised the Lord Jesus shall raise us also with Jesus, and shall present [us] with you.
15 ataeva yu. smaaka. m hitaaya sarvvameva bhavati tasmaad bahuunaa. m pracuraanugrahapraapte rbahulokaanaa. m dhanyavaadene"svarasya mahimaa samyak prakaa"si. syate|
For all things [are] for your sakes, that the grace abounding through the many may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
16 tato heto rvaya. m na klaamyaama. h kintu baahyapuru. so yadyapi k. siiyate tathaapyaantarika. h puru. so dine dine nuutanaayate|
Wherefore we faint not; but if indeed our outward man is consumed, yet the inward is renewed day by day.
17 k. sa. namaatrasthaayi yadetat laghi. s.tha. m du. hkha. m tad atibaahulyenaasmaakam anantakaalasthaayi gari. s.thasukha. m saadhayati, (aiōnios g166)
For our momentary [and] light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory; (aiōnios g166)
18 yato vaya. m pratyak. saan vi. sayaan anuddi"syaapratyak. saan uddi"saama. h| yato heto. h pratyak. savi. sayaa. h k. sa. namaatrasthaayina. h kintvapratyak. saa anantakaalasthaayina. h| (aiōnios g166)
while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen [are] for a time, but those that are not seen eternal. (aiōnios g166)
