1 yuuya. m mamaaj naanataa. m k. sa. na. m yaavat so. dhum arhatha, ata. h saa yu. smaabhi. h sahyataa. m|
Would that ye would bear with me [in] a little folly; but indeed bear with me.
2 ii"svare mamaasaktatvaad aha. m yu. smaanadhi tape yasmaat satii. m kanyaamiva yu. smaan ekasmin vare. arthata. h khrii. s.te samarpayitum aha. m vaagdaanam akaar. sa. m|
For I am jealous as to you with a jealousy [which is] of God; for I have espoused you unto one man, to present [you] a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 kintu sarpe. na svakhalatayaa yadvad havaa va ncayaa ncake tadvat khrii. s.ta. m prati satiitvaad yu. smaaka. m bhra. m"sa. h sambhavi. syatiiti bibhemi|
But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craft, [so] your thoughts should be corrupted from simplicity as to the Christ.
4 asmaabhiranaakhyaapito. apara. h ka"scid yii"su ryadi kenacid aagantukenaakhyaapyate yu. smaabhi. h praagalabdha aatmaa vaa yadi labhyate praagag. rhiita. h susa. mvaado vaa yadi g. rhyate tarhi manye yuuya. m samyak sahi. syadhve|
For if indeed he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or ye get a different Spirit, which ye have not got, or a different glad tidings, which ye have not received, ye might well bear with [it].
5 kintu mukhyebhya. h preritebhyo. aha. m kenacit prakaare. na nyuuno naasmiiti budhye|
For I reckon that in nothing I am behind those who are in surpassing degree apostles.
6 mama vaakpa. tutaayaa nyuunatve satyapi j naanasya nyuunatva. m naasti kintu sarvvavi. saye vaya. m yu. smadgocare prakaa"saamahe|
But if [I am] a simple person in speech, yet not in knowledge, but in everything making [the truth] manifest in all things to you.
7 yu. smaakam unnatyai mayaa namrataa. m sviik. rtye"svarasya susa. mvaado vinaa vetana. m yu. smaaka. m madhye yad agho. syata tena mayaa ki. m paapam akaari?
Have I committed sin, abasing myself in order that ye might be exalted, because I gratuitously announced to you the glad tidings of God?
8 yu. smaaka. m sevanaayaaham anyasamitibhyo bh. rti g. rhlan dhanamapah. rtavaan,
I spoiled other assemblies, receiving hire for ministry towards you.
9 yadaa ca yu. smanmadhye. ava. artte tadaa mamaarthaabhaave jaate yu. smaaka. m ko. api mayaa na pii. dita. h; yato mama so. arthaabhaavo maakidaniyaade"saad aagatai bhraat. rbhi nyavaaryyata, itthamaha. m kkaapi vi. saye yathaa yu. smaasu bhaaro na bhavaami tathaa mayaatmarak. saa k. rtaa karttavyaa ca|
And being present with you and lacking, I did not lazily burden any one, (for the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied what I lacked, ) and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will keep myself.
10 khrii. s.tasya satyataa yadi mayi ti. s.thati tarhi mamai. saa "slaaghaa nikhilaakhaayaade"se kenaapi na rotsyate|
[The] truth of Christ is in me that this boasting shall not be stopped as to me in the regions of Achaia.
11 etasya kaara. na. m ki. m? yu. smaasu mama prema naastyetat ki. m tatkaara. na. m? tad ii"svaro vetti|
Why? because I do not love you? God knows.
12 ye chidramanvi. syanti te yat kimapi chidra. m na labhante tadarthameva tat karmma mayaa kriyate kaari. syate ca tasmaat te yena "slaaghante tenaasmaaka. m samaanaa bhavi. syanti|
But what I do, I will also do, that I may cut off the opportunity of those wishing [for] an opportunity, that wherein they boast they may be found even as we.
13 taad. r"saa bhaaktapreritaa. h prava ncakaa. h kaaravo bhuutvaa khrii. s.tasya preritaanaa. m ve"sa. m dhaarayanti|
For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
14 taccaa"scaryya. m nahi; yata. h svaya. m "sayataanapi tejasviduutasya ve"sa. m dhaarayati,
And [it is] not wonderful, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
15 tatastasya paricaarakaa api dharmmaparicaarakaa. naa. m ve"sa. m dhaarayantiityadbhuta. m nahi; kintu te. saa. m karmmaa. ni yaad. r"saani phalaanyapi taad. r"saani bhavi. syanti|
It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
16 aha. m puna rvadaami ko. api maa. m nirbbodha. m na manyataa. m ki nca yadyapi nirbbodho bhaveya. m tathaapi yuuya. m nirbbodhamiva maamanug. rhya k. sa. naika. m yaavat mamaatma"slaaghaam anujaaniita|
Again I say, Let not any one think me to be a fool; but if otherwise, receive me then even as a fool, that I also may boast myself some little.
17 etasyaa. h "slaaghaayaa nimitta. m mayaa yat kathitavya. m tat prabhunaadi. s.teneva kathyate tannahi kintu nirbbodheneva|
What I speak I do not speak according to [the] Lord, but as in folly, in this confidence of boasting.
18 apare bahava. h "saariirika"slaaghaa. m kurvvate tasmaad ahamapi "slaaghi. sye|
Since many boast according to flesh, I also will boast.
19 buddhimanto yuuya. m sukhena nirbbodhaanaam aacaara. m sahadhve|
For ye bear fools readily, being wise.
20 ko. api yadi yu. smaan daasaan karoti yadi vaa yu. smaaka. m sarvvasva. m grasati yadi vaa yu. smaan harati yadi vaatmaabhimaanii bhavati yadi vaa yu. smaaka. m kapolam aahanti tarhi tadapi yuuya. m sahadhve|
For ye bear if any one bring you into bondage, if any one devour [you], if any one get [your money], if any one exalt himself, if any one beat you on the face.
21 daurbbalyaad yu. smaabhiravamaanitaa iva vaya. m bhaa. saamahe, kintvaparasya kasyacid yena pragalbhataa jaayate tena mamaapi pragalbhataa jaayata iti nirbbodheneva mayaa vaktavya. m|
I speak as to dishonour, as though we had been weak; but wherein any one is daring, (I speak in folly, ) I also am daring.
22 te kim ibrilokaa. h? ahamapiibrii| te kim israayeliiyaa. h? ahamapiisraayeliiya. h| te kim ibraahiimo va. m"saa. h? ahamapiibraahiimo va. m"sa. h|
Are they Hebrews? I also. Are they Israelites? I also. Are they seed of Abraham? I also.
23 te ki. m khrii. s.tasya paricaarakaa. h? aha. m tebhyo. api tasya mahaaparicaaraka. h; kintu nirbbodha iva bhaa. se, tebhyo. apyaha. m bahupari"srame bahuprahaare bahuvaara. m kaaraayaa. m bahuvaara. m praa. nanaa"sasa. m"saye ca patitavaan|
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as being beside myself) I above measure [so]; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisons exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft.
24 yihuudiiyairaha. m pa ncak. rtva uunacatvaari. m"satprahaarairaahatastrirvetraaghaatam ekak. rtva. h prastaraaghaata nca praptavaan|
From the Jews five times have I received forty [stripes], save one.
25 vaaratraya. m potabha njanena kli. s.to. aham agaadhasalile dinameka. m raatrimekaa nca yaapitavaan|
Thrice have I been scourged, once I have been stoned, three times I have suffered shipwreck, a night and day I passed in the deep:

in journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from [my own] race, in perils from [the] nations, in perils in [the] city, in perils in [the] desert, in perils on [the] sea, in perils among false brethren;
27 pari"sramakle"saabhyaa. m vaara. m vaara. m jaagara. nena k. sudhaat. r.s. naabhyaa. m bahuvaara. m niraahaare. na "siitanagnataabhyaa ncaaha. m kaala. m yaapitavaan|
in labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
28 taad. r"sa. m naimittika. m du. hkha. m vinaaha. m pratidinam aakulo bhavaami sarvvaasaa. m samitiinaa. m cintaa ca mayi varttate|
Besides those things that are without, the crowd [of cares] pressing on me daily, the burden of all the assemblies.
29 yenaaha. m na durbbaliibhavaami taad. r"sa. m daurbbalya. m ka. h paapnoti?
Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is stumbled, and I burn not?
30 yadi mayaa "slaaghitavya. m tarhi svadurbbalataamadhi "slaaghi. sye|
If it is needful to boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.
31 mayaa m. r.saavaakya. m na kathyata iti nitya. m pra"sa. msaniiyo. asmaaka. m prabho ryii"sukhrii. s.tasya taata ii"svaro jaanaati| (aiōn g165)
The God and Father of the Lord Jesus knows — he who is blessed for ever — that I do not lie. (aiōn g165)
32 damme. sakanagare. aritaaraajasya kaaryyaadhyak. so maa. m dharttum icchan yadaa sainyaistad damme. sakanagaram arak. sayat
In Damascus the ethnarch of Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes shut up, wishing to take me;
33 tadaaha. m lokai. h pi. takamadhye praaciiragavaak. se. naavarohitastasya karaat traa. na. m praapa. m|
and through a window in a basket I was let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
