مَتھِح 1
| اِبْراہِیمَح سَنْتانو دایُودْ تَسْیَ سَنْتانو یِیشُکھْرِیشْٹَسْتَسْیَ پُورْوَّپُرُشَوَںشَشْرینِی۔ | 1 |
The Lineage Roll of Jesus Christ, —Son of David, Son of Abraham.
| اِبْراہِیمَح پُتْرَ اِسْہاکْ تَسْیَ پُتْرو یاکُوبْ تَسْیَ پُتْرو یِہُوداسْتَسْیَ بھْراتَرَشْچَ۔ | 2 |
Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob, begat Judah and his brethren;
| تَسْمادْ یِہُوداتَسْتامَرو گَرْبھے پیرَسّیرَہَو جَجْناتے، تَسْیَ پیرَسَح پُتْرو ہِشْرونْ تَسْیَ پُتْرو رامْ۔ | 3 |
And Judah begat Perez and Zarah of Tamah, and Perez begat Hezron, and Hezron begat Ram;
| تَسْیَ پُتْرو مِّینادَبْ تَسْیَ پُتْرو نَہَشونْ تَسْیَ پُتْرَح سَلْمونْ۔ | 4 |
And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nashon, and Nashon begat Salmon;
| تَسْمادْ راہَبو گَرْبھے بویَمْ جَجْنے، تَسْمادْ رُوتو گَرْبھے اوبیدْ جَجْنے، تَسْیَ پُتْرو یِشَیَح۔ | 5 |
And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab, and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth, and Obed begat Jesse;
| تَسْیَ پُتْرو دایُودْ راجَح تَسْمادْ مرِتورِیَسْیَ جایایاں سُلیمانْ جَجْنے۔ | 6 |
And Jesse begat David the King. And David begat Solomon of her [that had been the wife] of Uriah;
| تَسْیَ پُتْرو رِہَبِیامْ، تَسْیَ پُتْروبِیَح، تَسْیَ پُتْرَ آسا: ۔ | 7 |
And Solomon begat Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begat Abijah, and Abijah begat Asa;
| تَسْیَ سُتو یِہوشاپھَٹْ تَسْیَ سُتو یِہورامَ تَسْیَ سُتَ اُشِیَح۔ | 8 |
And Asa begat Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Uzziah;
| تَسْیَ سُتو یوتھَمْ تَسْیَ سُتَ آہَمْ تَسْیَ سُتو ہِشْکِیَح۔ | 9 |
And Uzziah begat Jotham, and Jotham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Hezekiah:
| تَسْیَ سُتو مِنَشِح، تَسْیَ سُتَ آمونْ تَسْیَ سُتو یوشِیَح۔ | 10 |
And Hezekiah begat Manasseh, and Manasseh begat Amon, and Amon begat Josiah;
| بابِلْنَگَرے پْرَوَسَناتْ پُورْوَّں سَ یوشِیو یِکھَنِیَں تَسْیَ بھْراترِںشْچَ جَنَیاماسَ۔ | 11 |
And Josiah begat Jechoniah, and his brethren, —upon the removal to Babylon.
| تَتو بابِلِ پْرَوَسَنَکالے یِکھَنِیَح شَلْتِیییلَں جَنَیاماسَ، تَسْیَ سُتَح سِرُبّاوِلْ۔ | 12 |
And, after the removal to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
| تَسْیَ سُتو بوہُدْ تَسْیَ سُتَ اِلِییاکِیمْ تَسْیَ سُتوسورْ۔ | 13 |
And Zerubbabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor;
| اَسورَح سُتَح سادوکْ تَسْیَ سُتَ آکھِیمْ تَسْیَ سُتَ اِلِیہُودْ۔ | 14 |
And Azor begat Sadoc, and Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud;
| تَسْیَ سُتَ اِلِیاسَرْ تَسْیَ سُتو مَتَّنْ۔ | 15 |
And Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob; —
| تَسْیَ سُتو یاکُوبْ تَسْیَ سُتو یُوشَپھْ تَسْیَ جایا مَرِیَمْ؛ تَسْیَ گَرْبھے یِیشُرَجَنِ، تَمیوَ کھْرِیشْٹَمْ (اَرْتھادْ اَبھِشِکْتَں) وَدَنْتِ۔ | 16 |
And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, —who is called Christ.
| اِتّھَمْ اِبْراہِیمو دایُودَں یاوَتْ ساکَلْیینَ چَتُرْدَشَپُرُشاح؛ آ دایُودَح کالادْ بابِلِ پْرَوَسَنَکالَں یاوَتْ چَتُرْدَشَپُرُشا بھَوَنْتِ۔ بابِلِ پْرَواسَنَکالاتْ کھْرِیشْٹَسْیَ کالَں یاوَتْ چَتُرْدَشَپُرُشا بھَوَنْتِ۔ | 17 |
So then, all the generations from Abraham unto David, are, fourteen, generations, and, from David unto the removal to Babylon, fourteen, generations; and, from the removal to Babylon unto the Christ, fourteen, generations.
| یِیشُکھْرِیشْٹَسْیَ جَنْمَ کَتھْتھَتے۔ مَرِیَمْ نامِکا کَنْیا یُوشَپھے واگْدَتّاسِیتْ، تَدا تَیوح سَنْگَماتْ پْراکْ سا کَنْیا پَوِتْریناتْمَنا گَرْبھَوَتِی بَبھُووَ۔ | 18 |
Now the birth, of [Jesus] Christ, was, thus: His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, —before they came together, she was found with child by [the] Holy Spirit.
| تَتْرَ تَسْیاح پَتِ رْیُوشَپھْ سَوجَنْیاتْ تَسْیاح کَلَنْگَں پْرَکاشَیِتُمْ اَنِچّھَنْ گوپَنینے تاں پارِتْیَکْتُں مَنَشْچَکْرے۔ | 19 |
Moreover, Joseph her husband, being, righteous, and yet unwilling to expose her, —intended, privately, to divorce her.
| سَ تَتھَیوَ بھاوَیَتِ، تَدانِیں پَرَمیشْوَرَسْیَ دُوتَح سْوَپْنے تَں دَرْشَنَں دَتّوا وْیاجَہارَ، ہے دایُودَح سَنْتانَ یُوشَپھْ تْوَں نِجاں جایاں مَرِیَمَمْ آداتُں ما بھَیشِیح۔ | 20 |
But, when, these things, he had pondered, lo! a messenger of the Lord, by dream, appeared to him, saying, —Joseph, son of David! do not fear to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for, that which, in her, hath been begotten, is of [the], Holy, Spirit.
| یَتَسْتَسْیا گَرْبھَح پَوِتْراداتْمَنوبھَوَتْ، سا چَ پُتْرَں پْرَسَوِشْیَتے، تَدا تْوَں تَسْیَ نامَ یِیشُمْ (اَرْتھاتْ تْراتارَں) کَرِیشْیَسے، یَسْماتْ سَ نِجَمَنُجانْ تیشاں کَلُشیبھْیَ اُدّھَرِشْیَتِ۔ | 21 |
Moreover she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, —for, he, will save his people from their sins.
| اِتّھَں سَتِ، پَشْیَ گَرْبھَوَتِی کَنْیا تَنَیَں پْرَسَوِشْیَتے۔ اِمّانُوییلْ تَدِییَنْچَ نامَدھییَں بھَوِشْیَتِ۔۔ اِمّانُوییلْ اَسْماکَں سَنْگِیشْوَرَاِتْیَرْتھَح۔ | 22 |
But, all this, hath come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord, through the prophet, saying:
| اِتِ یَدْ وَچَنَں پُرْوَّں بھَوِشْیَدْوَکْتْرا اِیشْوَرَح کَتھایاماسَ، تَتْ تَدانِیں سِدّھَمَبھَوَتْ۔ | 23 |
Lo! a Virgin, shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, —and they shall call his name Emmanuel; which is, being translated, God with us.
| اَنَنْتَرَں یُوشَپھْ نِدْراتو جاگَرِتَ اُتّھایَ پَرَمیشْوَرِییَدُوتَسْیَ نِدیشانُسارینَ نِجاں جایاں جَگْراہَ، | 24 |
And Joseph, awaking, from his sleep, did as the messenger of the Lord directed him, —and took unto him his wife;
| کِنْتُ یاوَتْ سا نِجَں پْرَتھَمَسُتَں اَ سُشُوے، تاوَتْ تاں نوپاگَچّھَتْ، تَتَح سُتَسْیَ نامَ یِیشُں چَکْرے۔ | 25 |
and knew her not, until she had brought forth a son, —and he called his name Jesus.
