یوہَنَح 15

1 اَہَں سَتْیَدْراکْشالَتاسْوَرُوپو مَمَ پِتا تُودْیانَپَرِچارَکَسْوَرُوپَنْچَ۔

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.

2 مَمَ یاسُ شاکھاسُ پھَلانِ نَ بھَوَنْتِ تاح سَ چھِنَتِّ تَتھا پھَلَوَتْیَح شاکھا یَتھادھِکَپھَلانِ پھَلَنْتِ تَدَرْتھَں تاح پَرِشْکَروتِ۔

Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

3 اِدانِیں مَیوکْتوپَدیشینَ یُویَں پَرِشْکرِتاح۔

You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

4 اَتَح کارَناتْ مَیِ تِشْٹھَتَ تیناہَمَپِ یُشْماسُ تِشْٹھامِ، یَتو ہیتو رْدْراکْشالَتایامْ اَسَںلَگْنا شاکھا یَتھا پھَلَوَتِی بھَوِتُں نَ شَکْنوتِ تَتھا یُویَمَپِ مَیَّتِشْٹھَنْتَح پھَلَوَنْتو بھَوِتُں نَ شَکْنُتھَ۔

Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.

5 اَہَں دْراکْشالَتاسْوَرُوپو یُویَنْچَ شاکھاسْوَرُوپوح؛ یو جَنو مَیِ تِشْٹھَتِ یَتْرَ چاہَں تِشْٹھامِ، سَ پْرَچُورَپھَلَیح پھَلَوانْ بھَوَتِ، کِنْتُ ماں وِنا یُویَں کِمَپِ کَرْتُّں نَ شَکْنُتھَ۔

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

6 یَح کَشْچِنْ مَیِ نَ تِشْٹھَتِ سَ شُشْکَشاکھیوَ بَہِ رْنِکْشِپْیَتے لوکاشْچَ تا آہرِتْیَ وَہْنَو نِکْشِپْیَ داہَیَنْتِ۔

If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burnt.

7 یَدِ یُویَں مَیِ تِشْٹھَتھَ مَمَ کَتھا چَ یُشْماسُ تِشْٹھَتِ تَرْہِ یَدْ وانْچھِتْوا یاچِشْیَدھْوے یُشْماکَں تَدیوَ سَپھَلَں بھَوِشْیَتِ۔

If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.

8 یَدِ یُویَں پْرَچُورَپھَلَوَنْتو بھَوَتھَ تَرْہِ تَدْوارا مَمَ پِتُ رْمَہِما پْرَکاشِشْیَتے تَتھا یُویَں مَمَ شِشْیا اِتِ پَرِکْشایِشْیَدھْوے۔

“In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.

9 پِتا یَتھا مَیِ پْرِیتَوانْ اَہَمَپِ یُشْماسُ تَتھا پْرِیتَوانْ اَتو ہیتو رْیُویَں نِرَنْتَرَں مَمَ پْریمَپاتْرانِ بھُوتْوا تِشْٹھَتَ۔

Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.

10 اَہَں یَتھا پِتُراجْنا گرِہِیتْوا تَسْیَ پْریمَبھاجَنَں تِشْٹھامِ تَتھَیوَ یُویَمَپِ یَدِ مَماجْنا گُہْلِیتھَ تَرْہِ مَمَ پْریمَبھاجَنانِ سْتھاسْیَتھَ۔

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

11 یُشْمَنِّمِتَّں مَمَ یَ آہْلادَح سَ یَتھا چِرَں تِشْٹھَتِ یُشْماکَمْ آنَنْدَشْچَ یَتھا پُورْیَّتے تَدَرْتھَں یُشْمَبھْیَمْ ایتاح کَتھا اَتْرَکَتھَمْ۔

I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.

12 اَہَں یُشْماسُ یَتھا پْرِییے یُویَمَپِ پَرَسْپَرَں تَتھا پْرِییَدھْوَمْ ایشا مَماجْنا۔

“This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.

13 مِتْراناں کارَناتْ سْوَپْرانَدانَپَرْیَّنْتَں یَتْ پْریمَ تَسْمانْ مَہاپْریمَ کَسْیاپِ ناسْتِ۔

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

14 اَہَں یَدْیَدْ آدِشامِ تَتَّدیوَ یَدِ یُویَمْ آچَرَتَ تَرْہِ یُویَمیوَ مَمَ مِتْرانِ۔

You are my friends if you do whatever I command you.

15 اَدْیارَبھْیَ یُشْمانْ داسانْ نَ وَدِشْیامِ یَتْ پْرَبھُ رْیَتْ کَروتِ داسَسْتَدْ نَ جاناتِ؛ کِنْتُ پِتُح سَمِیپے یَدْیَدْ اَشرِنَوَں تَتْ سَرْوَّں یُوشْمانْ اَجْناپَیَمْ تَتْکارَنادْ یُشْمانْ مِتْرانِ پْروکْتَوانْ۔

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

16 یُویَں ماں روچِتَوَنْتَ اِتِ نَ، کِنْتْوَہَمیوَ یُشْمانْ روچِتَوانْ یُویَں گَتْوا یَتھا پھَلانْیُتْپادَیَتھَ تانِ پھَلانِ چاکْشَیانِ بھَوَنْتِ، تَدَرْتھَں یُشْمانْ نْیَجُنَجَں تَسْمانْ مَمَ نامَ پْروچْیَ پِتَرَں یَتْ کِنْچِدْ یاچِشْیَدھْوے تَدیوَ سَ یُشْمَبھْیَں داسْیَتِ۔

You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

17 یُویَں پَرَسْپَرَں پْرِییَدھْوَمْ اَہَمْ اِتْیاجْناپَیامِ۔

“I command these things to you, that you may love one another.

18 جَگَتو لوکَے رْیُشْماسُ رِتِییِتیشُ تے پُورْوَّں مامیوارْتِّییَنْتَ اِتِ یُویَں جانِیتھَ۔

If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.

19 یَدِ یُویَں جَگَتو لوکا اَبھَوِشْیَتَ تَرْہِ جَگَتو لوکا یُشْمانْ آتْمِییانْ بُدّھواپْریشْیَنْتَ؛ کِنْتُ یُویَں جَگَتو لوکا نَ بھَوَتھَ، اَہَں یُشْمانْ اَسْماجَّگَتوروچَیَمْ ایتَسْماتْ کارَناجَّگَتو لوکا یُشْمانْ رِتِییَنْتے۔

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

20 داسَح پْرَبھو رْمَہانْ نَ بھَوَتِ مَمَیتَتْ پُورْوِّییَں واکْیَں سْمَرَتَ؛ تے یَدِ مامیواتاڈَیَنْ تَرْہِ یُشْمانَپِ تاڈَیِشْیَنْتِ، یَدِ مَمَ واکْیَں گرِہْلَنْتِ تَرْہِ یُشْماکَمَپِ واکْیَں گْرَہِیشْیَنْتِ۔

Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

21 کِنْتُ تے مَمَ نامَکارَنادْ یُشْمانْ پْرَتِ تادرِشَں وْیَوَہَرِشْیَنْتِ یَتو یو ماں پْریرِتَوانْ تَں تے نَ جانَنْتِ۔

But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.

22 تیشاں سَنِّدھِمْ آگَتْیَ یَدْیَہَں ناکَتھَیِشْیَں تَرْہِ تیشاں پاپَں نابھَوِشْیَتْ کِنْتْوَدھُنا تیشاں پاپَماچّھادَیِتُمْ اُپایو ناسْتِ۔

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.

23 یو جَنو مامْ رِتِییَتے سَ مَمَ پِتَرَمَپِ رِتِییَتے۔

He who hates me, hates my Father also.

24 یادرِشانِ کَرْمّانِ کیناپِ کَداپِ ناکْرِیَنْتَ تادرِشانِ کَرْمّانِ یَدِ تیشاں ساکْشادْ اَہَں ناکَرِشْیَں تَرْہِ تیشاں پاپَں نابھَوِشْیَتْ کِنْتْوَدھُنا تے درِشْٹْواپِ ماں مَمَ پِتَرَنْچارْتِّییَنْتَ۔

If I hadn’t done amongst them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.

25 تَسْماتْ تےکارَنَں مامْ رِتِییَنْتے یَدیتَدْ وَچَنَں تیشاں شاسْتْرے لِکھِتَماسْتے تَتْ سَپھَلَمْ اَبھَوَتْ۔

But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’

26 کِنْتُ پِتُ رْنِرْگَتَں یَں سَہایَمَرْتھاتْ سَتْیَمَیَمْ آتْمانَں پِتُح سَمِیپادْ یُشْماکَں سَمِیپے پْریشَیِشْیامِ سَ آگَتْیَ مَیِ پْرَمانَں داسْیَتِ۔

“When the Counsellor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

27 یُویَں پْرَتھَمَمارَبھْیَ مَیا سارْدّھَں تِشْٹھَتھَ تَسْمادّھیتو رْیُویَمَپِ پْرَمانَں داسْیَتھَ۔

You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.
