تَتَح پَرَں مَہایاجَکَح پرِشْٹَوانْ، ایشا کَتھاں کِں سَتْیا؟ | 1 |
The high priest said, "Are these things so?"
تَتَح سَ پْرَتْیَوَدَتْ، ہے پِتَرو ہے بھْراتَرَح سَرْوّے لاکا مَناںسِ نِدھَدّھوَں۔ اَسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشَ اِبْراہِیمْ ہارَنْنَگَرے واسَکَرَناتْ پُورْوَّں یَدا اَرامْ-نَہَرَیِمَدیشے آسِیتْ تَدا تیجومَیَ اِیشْوَرو دَرْشَنَں دَتْوا | 2 |
He said, "Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran,
تَمَوَدَتْ تْوَں سْوَدیشَجْناتِمِتْرانِ پَرِتْیَجْیَ یَں دیشَمَہَں دَرْشَیِشْیامِ تَں دیشَں وْرَجَ۔ | 3 |
and said to him, 'Go out from your land and from your relatives, and come into a land which I will show you.'
اَتَح سَ کَسْدِییَدیشَں وِہایَ ہارَنْنَگَرے نْیَوَسَتْ، تَدَنَنْتَرَں تَسْیَ پِتَرِ مرِتے یَتْرَ دیشے یُویَں نِوَسَتھَ سَ اینَں دیشَماگَچّھَتْ۔ | 4 |
Then he came out of the land of the Kasdim, and lived in Haran. From there, after his father died, he moved him into this land, where you are now living.
کِنْتْوِیشْوَرَسْتَسْمَے کَمَپْیَدھِکارَمْ اَرْتھادْ ایکَپَدَپَرِمِتاں بھُومِمَپِ نادَداتْ؛ تَدا تَسْیَ کوپِ سَنْتانو ناسِیتْ تَتھاپِ سَنْتانَیح سارْدّھَمْ ایتَسْیَ دیشَسْیادھِکارِی تْوَں بھَوِشْیَسِیتِ تَمْپْرَتْیَنْگِیکرِتَوانْ۔ | 5 |
He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him, when he still had no child.
اِیشْوَرَ اِتّھَمْ اَپَرَمَپِ کَتھِتَوانْ تَوَ سَنْتاناح پَرَدیشے نِوَتْسْیَنْتِ تَتَسْتَدّیشِییَلوکاشْچَتُحشَتَوَتْسَرانْ یاوَتْ تانْ داسَتْوے سْتھاپَیِتْوا تانْ پْرَتِ کُوْیَوَہارَں کَرِشْیَنْتِ۔ | 6 |
But God spoke in this way, 'His descendants will live as strangers in a foreign land, and that they will be slaves and mistreated, for four hundred years.
اَپَرَمْ اِیشْوَرَ ایناں کَتھامَپِ کَتھِتَوانْ، یے لوکاسْتانْ داسَتْوے سْتھاپَیِشْیَنْتِ تالّوکانْ اَہَں دَنْڈَیِشْیامِ، تَتَح پَرَں تے بَہِرْگَتاح سَنْتو مامْ اَتْرَ سْتھانے سیوِشْیَنْتے۔ | 7 |
But I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,' said God, 'and after that will they come out, and serve me in this place.'
پَشْچاتْ سَ تَسْمَے تْوَکْچھیدَسْیَ نِیَمَں دَتَّوانْ، اَتَ اِسْہاکَنامْنِ اِبْراہِیمَ ایکَپُتْرے جاتے، اَشْٹَمَدِنے تَسْیَ تْوَکْچھیدَمْ اَکَروتْ۔ تَسْیَ اِسْہاکَح پُتْرو یاکُوبْ، تَتَسْتَسْیَ یاکُوبوسْماکَں دْوادَشَ پُورْوَّپُرُشا اَجایَنْتَ۔ | 8 |
He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day. Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.
تے پُورْوَّپُرُشا اِیرْشْیَیا پَرِپُورْنا مِسَرَدیشَں پْریشَیِتُں یُوشَپھَں وْیَکْرِینَنْ۔ | 9 |
"The patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt; and God was with him,
کِنْتْوِیشْوَرَسْتَسْیَ سَہایو بھُوتْوا سَرْوَّسْیا دُرْگَتے رَکْشِتْوا تَسْمَے بُدّھِں دَتّوا مِسَرَدیشَسْیَ راجْنَح پھِرَونَح پْرِیَپاتْرَں کرِتَوانْ تَتو راجا مِسَرَدیشَسْیَ سْوِییَسَرْوَّپَرِوارَسْیَ چَ شاسَنَپَدَں تَسْمَے دَتَّوانْ۔ | 10 |
and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. He made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
تَسْمِنْ سَمَیے مِسَرَ-کِنانَدیشَیو رْدُرْبھِکْشَہیتورَتِکْلِشْٹَتْواتْ نَح پُورْوَّپُرُشا بھَکْشْیَدْرَوْیَں نالَبھَنْتَ۔ | 11 |
Now a famine came over all Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction, and our fathers found no food.
کِنْتُ مِسَرَدیشے شَسْیانِ سَنْتِ، یاکُوبْ اِماں وارْتّاں شْرُتْوا پْرَتھَمَمْ اَسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشانْ مِسَرَں پْریشِتَوانْ۔ | 12 |
But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers the first time.
تَتو دْوِتِییَوارَگَمَنے یُوشَپھْ سْوَبھْراترِبھِح پَرِچِتوبھَوَتْ؛ یُوشَپھو بھْراتَرَح پھِرَونْ راجینَ پَرِچِتا اَبھَوَنْ۔ | 13 |
On the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became known to Pharaoh.
اَنَنْتَرَں یُوشَپھْ بھْراترِگَنَں پْریشْیَ نِجَپِتَرَں یاکُوبَں نِجانْ پَنْچادھِکَسَپْتَتِسَںکھْیَکانْ جْناتِجَناںشْچَ سَماہُوتَوانْ۔ | 14 |
Then Joseph sent, and summoned Jacob, his father, and all his relatives, seventy-five souls.
تَسْمادْ یاکُوبْ مِسَرَدیشَں گَتْوا سْوَیَمْ اَسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشاشْچَ تَسْمِنْ سْتھانےمْرِیَنْتَ۔ | 15 |
Jacob went down into Egypt, and he died, himself and our fathers,
تَتَسْتے شِکھِمَں نِیتا یَتْ شْمَشانَمْ اِبْراہِیمْ مُدْرادَتْوا شِکھِمَح پِتُ رْہَمورَح پُتْریبھْیَح کْرِیتَوانْ تَتْشْمَشانے سْتھاپَیانْچَکْرِرے۔ | 16 |
and they were brought back to Shechem, and placed in the tomb that Abraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor in Shechem.
تَتَح پَرَمْ اِیشْوَرَ اِبْراہِیمَح سَنِّدھَو شَپَتھَں کرِتْوا یاں پْرَتِجْناں کرِتَوانْ تَسْیاح پْرَتِجْنایاح پھَلَنَسَمَیے نِکَٹے سَتِ اِسْراییلّوکا سِمَرَدیشے وَرْدّھَمانا بَہُسَںکھْیا اَبھَوَنْ۔ | 17 |
"But as the time of the promise came close which God had made to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
شیشے یُوشَپھَں یو نَ پَرِچِنوتِ تادرِشَ ایکو نَرَپَتِرُپَسْتھایَ | 18 |
until 'there arose a different king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.'
اَسْماکَں جْناتِبھِح سارْدّھَں دھُورْتَّتاں وِدھایَ پُورْوَّپُرُشانْ پْرَتِ کُوْیَوَہَرَنَپُورْوَّکَں تیشاں وَںشَناشَنایَ تیشاں نَوَجاتانْ شِشُونْ بَہِ رْنِرَکْشیپَیَتْ۔ | 19 |
The same took advantage of our race, and mistreated our fathers, and forced them to throw out their babies, so that they would not stay alive.
ایتَسْمِنْ سَمَیے مُوسا جَجْنے، سَ تُ پَرَمَسُنْدَروبھَوَتْ تَتھا پِترِگرِہے ماسَتْرَیَپَرْیَّنْتَں پالِتوبھَوَتْ۔ | 20 |
At that time Moses was born, and was exceedingly handsome. He was nourished three months in his father's house.
کِنْتُ تَسْمِنْ بَہِرْنِکْشِپْتے سَتِ پھِرَونَراجَسْیَ کَنْیا تَمْ اُتّولْیَ نِیتْوا دَتَّکَپُتْرَں کرِتْوا پالِتَوَتِی۔ | 21 |
When he was thrown out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and reared him as her own son.
تَسْماتْ سَ مُوسا مِسَرَدیشِییایاح سَرْوَّوِدْیایاح پارَدرِشْوا سَنْ واکْیے کْرِیایانْچَ شَکْتِمانْ اَبھَوَتْ۔ | 22 |
Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. He was mighty in his words and works.
سَ سَمْپُورْنَچَتْوارِںشَدْوَتْسَرَوَیَسْکو بھُوتْوا اِسْراییلِییَوَںشَنِجَبھْراترِنْ ساکْشاتْ کَرْتُں مَتِں چَکْرے۔ | 23 |
But when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.
تیشاں جَنَمیکَں ہِںسِتَں درِشْٹْوا تَسْیَ سَپَکْشَح سَنْ ہِںسِتَجَنَمْ اُپَکرِتْیَ مِسَرِییَجَنَں جَگھانَ۔ | 24 |
Seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him who was oppressed, striking the Egyptian.
تَسْیَ ہَسْتینیشْوَرَسْتانْ اُدّھَرِشْیَتِ تَسْیَ بھْراترِگَنَ اِتِ جْناسْیَتِ سَ اِتْیَنُمانَں چَکارَ، کِنْتُ تے نَ بُبُدھِرے۔ | 25 |
He supposed that his brothers understood that God, by his hand, was giving them deliverance; but they did not understand.
تَتْپَرے ہَنِ تیشامْ اُبھَیو رْجَنَیو رْواکَّلَہَ اُپَسْتھِتے سَتِ مُوساح سَمِیپَں گَتْوا تَیو رْمیلَنَں کَرْتُّں مَتِں کرِتْوا کَتھَیاماسَ، ہے مَہاشَیَو یُواں بھْراتَرَو پَرَسْپَرَمْ اَنْیایَں کُتَح کُرُتھَح؟ | 26 |
"The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying, 'Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?'
تَتَح سَمِیپَواسِنَں پْرَتِ یو جَنونْیایَں چَکارَ سَ تَں دُورِیکرِتْیَ کَتھَیاماسَ، اَسْماکَمُپَرِ شاسْترِتْوَوِچارَیِترِتْوَپَدَیوح کَسْتْواں نِیُکْتَوانْ؟ | 27 |
But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
ہْیو یَتھا مِسَرِییَں ہَتَوانْ تَتھا کِں مامَپِ ہَنِشْیَسِ؟ | 28 |
Do you want to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'
تَدا مُوسا ایتادرِشِیں کَتھاں شْرُتْوا پَلایَنَں چَکْرے، تَتو مِدِیَنَدیشَں گَتْوا پْرَواسِی سَنْ تَسْتھَو، تَتَسْتَتْرَ دْوَو پُتْرَو جَجْناتے۔ | 29 |
Moses fled at this saying, and became a stranger in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.
اَنَنْتَرَں چَتْوارِںشَدْوَتْسَریشُ گَتیشُ سِینَیَپَرْوَّتَسْیَ پْرانْتَرے پْرَجْوَلِتَسْتَمْبَسْیَ وَہْنِشِکھایاں پَرَمیشْوَرَدُوتَسْتَسْمَے دَرْشَنَں دَدَو۔ | 30 |
"When forty years were fulfilled, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.
مُوساسْتَسْمِنْ دَرْشَنے وِسْمَیَں مَتْوا وِشیشَں جْناتُں نِکَٹَں گَچّھَتِ، | 31 |
When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came,
ایتَسْمِنْ سَمَیے، اَہَں تَوَ پُورْوَّپُرُشانامْ اِیشْوَرورْتھادْ اِبْراہِیمَ اِیشْوَرَ اِسْہاکَ اِیشْوَرو یاکُوبَ اِیشْوَرَشْچَ، مُوسامُدِّشْیَ پَرَمیشْوَرَسْیَیتادرِشِی وِہایَسِییا وانِی بَبھُووَ، تَتَح سَ کَمْپانْوِتَح سَنْ پُنَ رْنِرِیکْشِتُں پْرَگَلْبھو نَ بَبھُووَ۔ | 32 |
'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob.' Moses trembled, and dared not look.
پَرَمیشْوَرَسْتَں جَگادَ، تَوَ پادَیوح پادُکے موچَیَ یَتْرَ تِشْٹھَسِ سا پَوِتْرَبھُومِح۔ | 33 |
The Lord said to him, 'Take your sandals off of your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
اَہَں مِسَرَدیشَسْتھاناں نِجَلوکاناں دُرْدَّشاں نِتانْتَمْ اَپَشْیَں، تیشاں کاتَرْیّوکْتِنْچَ شْرُتَوانْ تَسْماتْ تانْ اُدّھَرْتُّمْ اَوَرُہْیاگَمَمْ؛ اِدانِیمْ آگَچّھَ مِسَرَدیشَں تْواں پْریشَیامِ۔ | 34 |
I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you to Egypt.'
کَسْتْواں شاسْترِتْوَوِچارَیِترِتْوَپَدَیو رْنِیُکْتَوانْ، اِتِ واکْیَمُکْتْوا تَے رْیو مُوسا اَوَجْناتَسْتَمیوَ اِیشْوَرَح سْتَمْبَمَدھْیے دَرْشَنَداتْرا تینَ دُوتینَ شاسْتارَں مُکْتِداتارَنْچَ کرِتْوا پْریشَیاماسَ۔ | 35 |
"This Moses, whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?'—God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
سَ چَ مِسَرَدیشے سُوپھْنامْنِ سَمُدْرے چَ پَشْچاتْ چَتْوارِںشَدْوَتْسَرانْ یاوَتْ مَہاپْرانْتَرے ناناپْرَکارانْیَدْبھُتانِ کَرْمّانِ لَکْشَنانِ چَ دَرْشَیِتْوا تانْ بَہِح کرِتْوا سَمانِنایَ۔ | 36 |
This man led them out, having worked wonders and signs in Egypt, in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.
پْرَبھُح پَرَمیشْوَرو یُشْماکَں بھْراترِگَنَسْیَ مَدھْیے مادرِشَمْ ایکَں بھَوِشْیَدْوَکْتارَمْ اُتْپادَیِشْیَتِ تَسْیَ کَتھایاں یُویَں مَنو نِدھاسْیَتھَ، یو جَنَ اِسْراییلَح سَنْتانیبھْیَ ایناں کَتھاں کَتھَیاماسَ سَ ایشَ مُوساح۔ | 37 |
This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel, 'God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.'
مَہاپْرانْتَرَسْتھَمَنْڈَلِیمَدھْیےپِ سَ ایوَ سِینَیَپَرْوَّتوپَرِ تینَ سارْدّھَں سَںلاپِنو دُوتَسْیَ چاسْمَتْپِترِگَنَسْیَ مَدھْیَسْتھَح سَنْ اَسْمَبھْیَں داتَوْیَنِ جِیوَنَدایَکانِ واکْیانِ لیبھے۔ | 38 |
This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received words of life to give to us,
اَسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشاسْتَمْ اَمانْیَں کَتْوا سْویبھْیو دُورِیکرِتْیَ مِسَرَدیشَں پَراورِتْیَ گَنْتُں مَنوبھِرَبھِلَشْیَ ہارونَں جَگَدُح، | 39 |
to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt,
اَسْماکَمْ اَگْرےگْرے گَنْتُمْ اَسْمَدَرْتھَں دیوَگَنَں نِرْمّاہِ یَتو یو مُوسا اَسْمانْ مِسَرَدیشادْ بَہِح کرِتْوانِیتَوانْ تَسْیَ کِں جاتَں تَدَسْمابھِ رْنَ جْنایَتے۔ | 40 |
saying to Aaron, 'Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.'
تَسْمِنْ سَمَیے تے گووَتْساکرِتِں پْرَتِماں نِرْمّایَ تامُدِّشْیَ نَیویدْیَمُتْمرِجْیَ سْوَہَسْتَکرِتَوَسْتُنا آنَنْدِتَوَنْتَح۔ | 41 |
They made a calf in those days, and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their hands.
تَسْمادْ اِیشْوَرَسْتیشاں پْرَتِ وِمُکھَح سَنْ آکاشَسْتھَں جْیوتِرْگَنَں پُوجَیِتُں تیبھْیونُمَتِں دَدَو، یادرِشَں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِناں گْرَنْتھیشُ لِکھِتَماسْتے، یَتھا، اِسْراییلِییَوَںشا رے چَتْوارِںشَتْسَمانْ پُرا۔ مَہَتِ پْرانْتَرے سَںسْتھا یُویَنْتُ یانِ چَ۔ بَلِہومادِکَرْمّانِ کرِتَوَنْتَسْتُ تانِ کِں۔ ماں سَمُدِّشْیَ یُشْمابھِح پْرَکرِتانِیتِ نَیوَ چَ۔ | 42 |
But God turned, and gave them over to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
کِنْتُ وو مولَکاکھْیَسْیَ دیوَسْیَ دُوشْیَمیوَ چَ۔ یُشْماکَں رِمْپھَناکھْیایا دیوَتایاشْچَ تارَکا۔ ایتَیورُبھَیو رْمُورْتِی یُشْمابھِح پَرِپُوجِتے۔ اَتو یُشْماںسْتُ بابیلَح پارَں نیشْیامِ نِشْچِتَں۔ | 43 |
You took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Rephan, the images that you made to worship them. Therefore I will exile you beyond Babylon.'
اَپَرَنْچَ یَنِّدَرْشَنَمْ اَپَشْیَسْتَدَنُسارینَ دُوشْیَں نِرْمّاہِ یَسْمِنْ اِیشْوَرو مُوسامْ ایتَدْواکْیَں بَبھاشے تَتْ تَسْیَ نِرُوپِتَں ساکْشْیَسْوَرُوپَں دُوشْیَمْ اَسْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشَیح سَہَ پْرانْتَرے تَسْتھَو۔ | 44 |
"Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen;
پَشْچاتْ یِہوشُویینَ سَہِتَیسْتیشاں وَںشَجاتَیرَسْمَتْپُورْوَّپُرُشَیح سْویشاں سَمُّکھادْ اِیشْوَرینَ دُورِیکرِتانامْ اَنْیَدیشِییاناں دیشادھِکرِتِکالے سَمانِیتَں تَدْ دُوشْیَں دایُودودھِکارَں یاوَتْ تَتْرَ سْتھانَ آسِیتْ۔ | 45 |
which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of David,
سَ دایُودْ پَرَمیشْوَرَسْیانُگْرَہَں پْراپْیَ یاکُوبْ اِیشْوَرارْتھَمْ ایکَں دُوشْیَں نِرْمّاتُں وَوانْچھَ؛ | 46 |
who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Jacob.
کِنْتُ سُلیمانْ تَدَرْتھَں مَنْدِرَمْ ایکَں نِرْمِّتَوانْ۔ | 47 |
But Solomon built him a house.
تَتھاپِ یَح سَرْوّوپَرِسْتھَح سَ کَسْمِںشْچِدْ ہَسْتَکرِتے مَنْدِرے نِوَسَتِیتِ نَہِ، بھَوِشْیَدْوادِی کَتھامیتاں کَتھَیَتِ، یَتھا، | 48 |
However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says,
پَریشو وَدَتِ سْوَرْگو راجَسِںہاسَنَں مَمَ۔ مَدِییَں پادَپِیٹھَنْچَ پرِتھِوِی بھَوَتِ دھْرُوَں۔ تَرْہِ یُویَں کرِتے مے کِں پْرَنِرْمّاسْیَتھَ مَنْدِرَں۔ وِشْرامایَ مَدِییَں وا سْتھانَں کِں وِدْیَتے تْوِہَ۔ | 49 |
'Heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says the Lord; 'or what is the place of my rest?
سَرْوّانْییتانِ وَسْتُونِ کِں مے ہَسْتَکرِتانِ نَ۔۔ | 50 |
Did not my hand make all these things?'
ہے اَناجْناگْراہَکا اَنْتَحکَرَنے شْرَوَنے چاپَوِتْرَلوکاح یُویَمْ اَنَوَرَتَں پَوِتْرَسْیاتْمَنَح پْراتِکُولْیَمْ آچَرَتھَ، یُشْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشا یادرِشا یُویَمَپِ تادرِشاح۔ | 51 |
"You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so you do.
یُشْماکَں پُورْوَّپُرُشاح کَں بھَوِشْیَدْوادِنَں ناتاڈَیَنْ؟ یے تَسْیَ دھارْمِّکَسْیَ جَنَسْیاگَمَنَکَتھاں کَتھِتَوَنْتَسْتانْ اَگھْنَنْ یُویَمْ اَدھُونا وِشْواسَگھاتِنو بھُوتْوا تَں دھارْمِّکَں جَنَمْ اَہَتَ۔ | 52 |
Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
یُویَں سْوَرْگِییَدُوتَگَنینَ وْیَوَسْتھاں پْراپْیاپِ تاں ناچَرَتھَ۔ | 53 |
You received the Law as it was ordained by angels, and did not keep it."
اِماں کَتھاں شْرُتْوا تے مَنَحسُ بِدّھاح سَنْتَسْتَں پْرَتِ دَنْتَگھَرْشَنَمْ اَکُرْوَّنْ۔ | 54 |
Now when they heard these things, they were furious, and they ground their teeth at him.
کِنْتُ سْتِپھانَح پَوِتْریناتْمَنا پُورْنو بھُوتْوا گَگَنَں پْرَتِ سْتھِرَدرِشْٹِں کرِتْوا اِیشْوَرَسْیَ دَکْشِنے دَنْڈایَمانَں یِیشُنْچَ وِلوکْیَ کَتھِتَوانْ؛ | 55 |
But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
پَشْیَ،میگھَدْوارَں مُکْتَمْ اِیشْوَرَسْیَ دَکْشِنے سْتھِتَں مانَوَسُتَنْچَ پَشْیامِ۔ | 56 |
And he said, "Look, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."
تَدا تے پْروچَّیح شَبْدَں کرِتْوا کَرْنیشْوَنْگُلِی رْنِدھایَ ایکَچِتِّیبھُویَ تَمْ آکْرَمَنْ۔ | 57 |
But they shouted out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed at him with one accord.
پَشْچاتْ تَں نَگَرادْ بَہِح کرِتْوا پْرَسْتَرَیراگھْنَنْ ساکْشِنو لاکاح شَولَنامْنو یُونَشْچَرَنَسَنِّدھَو نِجَوَسْتْرانِ سْتھاپِتَوَنْتَح۔ | 58 |
They threw him out of the city, and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.
اَنَنْتَرَں ہے پْرَبھو یِیشے مَدِییَماتْمانَں گرِہانَ سْتِپھانَسْییتِ پْرارْتھَنَواکْیَوَدَنَسَمَیے تے تَں پْرَسْتَرَیراگھْنَنْ۔ | 59 |
They stoned Stephen as he called out, saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
تَسْماتْ سَ جانُنِی پاتَیِتْوا پْروچَّیح شَبْدَں کرِتْوا، ہے پْرَبھے پاپَمیتَدْ ایتیشُ ما سْتھاپَیَ، اِتْیُکْتْوا مَہانِدْراں پْراپْنوتْ۔ | 60 |
He kneeled down, and shouted out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.
