ปฺรกาศิตํ 13
1 ตต: ปรมหํ สาครียสิกตายำ ติษฺฐนฺ สาคราทฺ อุทฺคจฺฉนฺตมฺ เอกํ ปศุํ ทฺฤษฺฏวานฺ ตสฺย ทศ ศฺฤงฺคาณิ สปฺต ศิรำสิ จ ทศ ศฺฤงฺเคษุ ทศ กิรีฏานิ ศิร: สุ เจศฺวรนินฺทาสูจกานิ นามานิ วิทฺยนฺเตฯ
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.
2 มยา ทฺฤษฺฏ: ส ปศุศฺจิตฺรวฺยาฆฺรสทฺฤศ: กินฺตุ ตสฺย จรเณา ภลฺลูกเสฺยว วทนญฺจ สึหวทนมิวฯ นาคเน ตไสฺม สฺวียปรากฺรม: สฺวียํ สึหาสนํ มหาธิปตฺยญฺจาทายิฯ
The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
3 มยิ นิรีกฺษมาเณ ตสฺย ศิรสามฺ เอกมฺ อนฺตกาฆาเตน เฉทิตมิวาทฺฤศฺยต, กินฺตุ ตสฺยานฺตกกฺษตสฺย ปฺรตีกาโร 'กฺริยต ตต: กฺฤตฺโสฺน นรโลกสฺตํ ปศุมธิ จมตฺการํ คต: ,
One of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast.
4 ยศฺจ นาคสฺตไสฺม ปศเว สามรฺถฺยํ ทตฺตวานฺ สรฺเวฺว ตํ ปฺราณมนฺ ปศุมปิ ปฺรณมนฺโต 'กถยนฺ, โก วิทฺยเต ปโศสฺตุลฺยเสฺตน โก โยทฺธุมรฺหติฯ
They worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 อนนฺตรํ ตไสฺม ทรฺปวาเกฺยศฺวรนินฺทาวาทิ วทนํ ทฺวิจตฺวารึศนฺมาสานฺ ยาวทฺ อวสฺถิเต: สามรฺถฺยญฺจาทายิฯ
A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him.
6 ตต: ส อีศฺวรนินฺทนารฺถํ มุขํ วฺยาทาย ตสฺย นาม ตสฺยาวาสํ สฺวรฺคนิวาสินศฺจ นินฺทิตุมฺ อารภตฯ
He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, his dwelling, and those who dwell in heaven.
7 อปรํ ธารฺมฺมิไก: สห โยธนสฺย เตษำ ปราชยสฺย จานุมติ: สรฺวฺวชาตียานำ สรฺวฺววํศียานำ สรฺวฺวภาษาวาทินำ สรฺวฺวเทศียานาญฺจาธิปตฺยมปิ ตสฺมา อทายิฯ
It was given to him to make war with the holy ones and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him.
8 ตโต ชคต: สฺฤษฺฏิกาลาตฺ เฉทิตสฺย เมษวตฺสสฺย ชีวนปุสฺตเก ยาวตำ นามานิ ลิขิตานิ น วิทฺยนฺเต เต ปฺฤถิวีนิวาสิน: สรฺเวฺว ตํ ปศุํ ปฺรณํสฺยนฺติฯ
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed.
9 ยสฺย โศฺรตฺรํ วิทฺยเต ส ศฺฤโณตุฯ
If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 โย ชโน 'ปรานฺ วนฺทีกฺฤตฺย นยติ ส สฺวยํ วนฺทีภูย สฺถานานฺตรํ คมิษฺยติ, ยศฺจ ขงฺเคน หนฺติ ส สฺวยํ ขงฺเคน ฆานิษฺยเตฯ อตฺร ปวิตฺรโลกานำ สหิษฺณุตยา วิศฺวาเสน จ ปฺรกาศิตวฺยํฯ
If anyone is to go into captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the holy ones.
11 อนนฺตรํ ปฺฤถิวีต อุทฺคจฺฉนฺ อปร เอก: ปศุ รฺมยา ทฺฤษฺฏ: ส เมษศาวกวตฺ ศฺฤงฺคทฺวยวิศิษฺฏ อาสีตฺ นาควจฺจาภาษตฯ
I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.
12 ส ปฺรถมปโศรนฺติเก ตสฺย สรฺวฺวํ ปรากฺรมํ วฺยวหรติ วิเศษโต ยสฺย ปฺรถมปโศรนฺติกกฺษตํ ปฺรตีการํ คตํ ตสฺย ปูชำ ปฺฤถิวีํ ตนฺนิวาสินศฺจ การยติฯ
He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
13 อปรํ มานวานำ สากฺษาทฺ อากาศโต ภุวิ วหฺนิวรฺษณาทีนิ มหาจิตฺราณิ กโรติฯ
He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people.
14 ตสฺย ปโศ: สากฺษาทฺ เยษำ จิตฺรกรฺมฺมณำ สาธนาย สามรฺถฺยํ ตไสฺม ทตฺตํ ไต: ส ปฺฤถิวีนิวาสิโน ภฺรามยติ, วิเศษโต ย: ปศุ: ขงฺเคน กฺษตยุกฺโต ภูตฺวาปฺยชีวตฺ ตสฺย ปฺรติมานิรฺมฺมาณํ ปฺฤถิวีนิวาสิน อาทิศติฯ
He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.
15 อปรํ ตสฺย ปโศ: ปฺรติมา ยถา ภาษเต ยาวนฺตศฺจ มานวาสฺตำ ปศุปฺรติมำ น ปูชยนฺติ เต ยถา หนฺยนฺเต ตถา ปศุปฺรติมายา: ปฺราณปฺรติษฺฐารฺถํ สามรฺถฺยํ ตสฺมา อทายิฯ
It was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn’t worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16 อปรํ กฺษุทฺรมหทฺธนิทริทฺรมุกฺตทาสานฺ สรฺวฺวานฺ ทกฺษิณกเร ภาเล วา กลงฺกํ คฺราหยติฯ
He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands or on their foreheads;
17 ตสฺมาทฺ เย ตํ กลงฺกมรฺถต: ปโศ รฺนาม ตสฺย นามฺน: สํขฺยางฺกํ วา ธารยนฺติ ตานฺ วินา ปเรณ เกนาปิ กฺรยวิกฺรเย กรฺตฺตุํ น ศเกฺยเตฯ
and that no one would be able to buy or to sell unless he has that mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18 อตฺร ชฺญาเนน ปฺรกาศิตวฺยํฯ โย พุทฺธิวิศิษฺฏ: ส ปโศ: สํขฺยำ คณยตุ ยต: สา มานวสฺย สํขฺยา ภวติฯ สา จ สํขฺยา ษฏฺษษฺฏฺยธิกษฏฺศตานิฯ
Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.
