มถิ: 19
1 อนนฺตรมฺ เอตาสุ กถาสุ สมาปฺตาสุ ยีศุ รฺคาลีลปฺรเทศาตฺ ปฺรสฺถาย ยรฺทนฺตีรสฺถํ ยิหูทาปฺรเทศํ ปฺราปฺต: ฯ
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, (logos) he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 ตทา ตตฺปศฺจาตฺ ชนนิวเห คเต ส ตตฺร ตานฺ นิรามยานฺ อกโรตฺฯ
And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 ตทนนฺตรํ ผิรูศินสฺตตฺสมีปมาคตฺย ปารีกฺษิตุํ ตํ ปปฺรจฺฉุ: , กสฺมาทปิ การณาตฺ นเรณ สฺวชายา ปริตฺยาชฺยา น วา?
The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 ส ปฺรตฺยุวาจ, ปฺรถมมฺ อีศฺวโร นรเตฺวน นารีเตฺวน จ มนุชานฺ สสรฺช, ตสฺมาตฺ กถิตวานฺ,
And he answered and said unto them, Have all of you not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 มานุษ: สฺวปิตเรา ปริตฺยชฺย สฺวปตฺนฺยามฺ อาสกฺษฺยเต, เตา เทฺวา ชนาเวกางฺเคา ภวิษฺยต: , กิเมตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ รฺน ปฐิตมฺ?
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?
6 อตเสฺตา ปุน รฺน เทฺวา ตโยเรกางฺคตฺวํ ชาตํ, อีศฺวเรณ ยจฺจ สมยุชฺยต, มนุโช น ตทฺ ภินฺทฺยาตฺฯ
Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 ตทานีํ เต ตํ ปฺรตฺยวทนฺ, ตถาเตฺว ตฺยาชฺยปตฺรํ ทตฺตฺวา สฺวำ สฺวำ ชายำ ตฺยกฺตุํ วฺยวสฺถำ มูสา: กถํ ลิเลข?
They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 ตต: ส กถิตวานฺ, ยุษฺมากํ มนสำ กาฐินฺยาทฺ ยุษฺมานฺ สฺวำ สฺวำ ชายำ ตฺยกฺตุมฺ อนฺวมนฺยต กินฺตุ ปฺรถมาทฺ เอโษ วิธิรฺนาสีตฺฯ
He says unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 อโต ยุษฺมานหํ วทามิ, วฺยภิจารํ วินา โย นิชชายำ ตฺยเชตฺ อนฺยาญฺจ วิวเหตฺ, ส ปรทารานฺ คจฺฉติ; ยศฺจ ตฺยกฺตำ นารีํ วิวหติ โสปิ ปรทาเรษุ รมเตฯ
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoso marries her which is put away does commit adultery.
10 ตทา ตสฺย ศิษฺยาสฺตํ พภาษิเร, ยทิ สฺวชายยา สากํ ปุํส เอตาทฺฤกฺ สมฺพนฺโธ ชายเต, ตรฺหิ วิวหนเมว น ภทฺรํฯ
His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 ตต: ส อุกฺตวานฺ, เยภฺยสฺตตฺสามรฺถฺยํ อาทายิ, ตานฺ วินานฺย: โกปิ มนุช เอตนฺมตํ คฺรหีตุํ น ศกฺโนติฯ
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, (logos) save they to whom it is given.
12 กติปยา ชนนกฺลีพ: กติปยา นรกฺฤตกฺลีพ: สฺวรฺคราชฺยาย กติปยา: สฺวกฺฤตกฺลีพาศฺจ สนฺติ, เย คฺรหีตุํ ศกฺนุวนฺติ เต คฺฤหฺลนฺตุฯ
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
13 อปรมฺ ยถา ส ศิศูนำ คาเตฺรษุ หสฺตํ ทตฺวา ปฺรารฺถยเต, ตทรฺถํ ตตฺสมีํปํ ศิศว อานียนฺต, ตต อานยิตฺฤนฺ ศิษฺยาสฺติรสฺกฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 กินฺตุ ยีศุรุวาจ, ศิศโว มทนฺติกมฺ อาคจฺฉนฺตุ, ตานฺ มา วารยต, เอตาทฺฤศำ ศิศูนาเมว สฺวรฺคราชฺยํฯ
But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 ตต: ส เตษำ คาเตฺรษุ หสฺตํ ทตฺวา ตสฺมาตฺ สฺถานาตฺ ปฺรตเสฺถฯ
And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
16 อปรมฺ เอก อาคตฺย ตํ ปปฺรจฺฉ, เห ปรมคุโร, อนนฺตายุ: ปฺราปฺตุํ มยา กึ กึ สตฺกรฺมฺม กรฺตฺตวฺยํ? (aiōnios g166)
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
17 ตต: ส อุวาจ, มำ ปรมํ กุโต วทสิ? วิเนศฺจรํ น โกปิ ปรม: , กินฺตุ ยทฺยนนฺตายุ: ปฺราปฺตุํ วาญฺฉสิ, ตรฺหฺยาชฺญา: ปาลยฯ
And he said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 ตทา ส ปฺฤษฺฏวานฺ, กา: กา อาชฺญา: ? ตโต ยีศุ: กถิตวานฺ, นรํ มา หนฺยา: , ปรทารานฺ มา คจฺเฉ: , มา โจรเย: , มฺฤษาสากฺษฺยํ มา ททฺยา: ,
He says unto him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
19 นิชปิตเรา สํมนฺยสฺว, สฺวสมีปวาสินิ สฺววตฺ เปฺรม กุรุฯ
Honour your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
20 ส ยุวา กถิตวานฺ, อา พาลฺยาทฺ เอตา: ปาลยามิ, อิทานีํ กึ นฺยูนมาเสฺต?
The young man says unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 ตโต ยีศุรวทตฺ, ยทิ สิทฺโธ ภวิตุํ วาญฺฉสิ, ตรฺหิ คตฺวา นิชสรฺวฺวสฺวํ วิกฺรีย ทริเทฺรโภฺย วิตร, ตต: สฺวรฺเค วิตฺตํ ลปฺสฺยเส; อาคจฺฉ, มตฺปศฺจาทฺวรฺตฺตี จ ภวฯ
Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 เอตำ วาจํ ศฺรุตฺวา ส ยุวา สฺวียพหุสมฺปตฺเต รฺวิษณ: สนฺ จลิตวานฺฯ
But when the young man heard that saying, (logos) he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 ตทา ยีศุ: สฺวศิษฺยานฺ อวทตฺ, ธนินำ สฺวรฺคราชฺยปฺรเวโศ มหาทุษฺกร อิติ ยุษฺมานหํ ตถฺยํ วทามิฯ
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 ปุนรปิ ยุษฺมานหํ วทามิ, ธนินำ สฺวรฺคราชฺยปฺรเวศาตฺ สูจีฉิเทฺรณ มหางฺคคมนํ สุกรํฯ
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 อิติ วากฺยํ นิศมฺย ศิษฺยา อติจมตฺกฺฤตฺย กถยามาสุ: ; ตรฺหิ กสฺย ปริตฺราณํ ภวิตุํ ศกฺโนติ?
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 ตทา ส ตานฺ ทฺฤษฺทฺวา กถยามาส, ตตฺ มานุษาณามศกฺยํ ภวติ, กินฺตฺวีศฺวรสฺย สรฺวฺวํ ศกฺยมฺฯ
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 ตทา ปิตรสฺตํ คทิตวานฺ, ปศฺย, วยํ สรฺวฺวํ ปริตฺยชฺย ภวต: ปศฺจาทฺวรฺตฺติโน 'ภวาม; วยํ กึ ปฺราปฺสฺยาม: ?
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed you; what shall we have therefore?
28 ตโต ยีศุ: กถิตวานฺ, ยุษฺมานหํ ตถฺยํ วทามิ, ยูยํ มม ปศฺจาทฺวรฺตฺติโน ชาตา อิติ การณาตฺ นวีนสฺฤษฺฏิกาเล ยทา มนุชสุต: สฺวีไยศฺจรฺยฺยสึหาสน อุปเวกฺษฺยติ, ตทา ยูยมปิ ทฺวาทศสึหาสเนษูปวิศฺย อิสฺราเยลียทฺวาทศวํศานำ วิจารํ กริษฺยถฯ
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That all of you which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, all of you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 อนฺยจฺจ ย: กศฺจิตฺ มม นามการณาตฺ คฺฤหํ วา ภฺราตรํ วา ภคินีํ วา ปิตรํ วา มาตรํ วา ชายำ วา พาลกํ วา ภูมึ ปริตฺยชติ, ส เตษำ ศตคุณํ ลปฺสฺยเต, อนนฺตายุโม'ธิการิตฺวญฺจ ปฺราปฺสฺยติฯ (aiōnios g166)
And every one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
30 กินฺตุ อคฺรียา อเนเก ชนา: ปศฺจาตฺ, ปศฺจาตียาศฺจาเนเก โลกา อเคฺร ภวิษฺยนฺติฯ
But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
