1 ตต: ปรํ ยีศุ: ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ปูรฺณ: สนฺ ยรฺทฺทนนทฺยา: ปราวฺฤตฺยาตฺมนา ปฺรานฺตรํ นีต: สนฺ จตฺวารึศทฺทินานิ ยาวตฺ ไศตานา ปรีกฺษิโต'ภูตฺ,
AND Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 กิญฺจ ตานิ สรฺวฺวทินานิ โภชนํ วินา สฺถิตตฺวาตฺ กาเล ปูรฺเณ ส กฺษุธิตวานฺฯ
Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3 ตต: ไศตานาคตฺย ตมวทตฺ ตฺวํ เจทีศฺวรสฺย ปุตฺรสฺตรฺหิ ปฺรสฺตราเนตานฺ อาชฺญยา ปูปานฺ กุรุฯ
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4 ตทา ยีศุรุวาจ, ลิปิรีทฺฤศี วิทฺยเต มนุช: เกวเลน ปูเปน น ชีวติ กินฺตฺวีศฺวรสฺย สรฺวฺวาภิราชฺญาภิ รฺชีวติฯ
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 ตทา ไศตานฺ ตมุจฺจํ ปรฺวฺวตํ นีตฺวา นิมิไษกมเธฺย ชคต: สรฺวฺวราชฺยานิ ทรฺศิตวานฺฯ
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 ปศฺจาตฺ ตมวาทีตฺ สรฺวฺวมฺ เอตทฺ วิภวํ ปฺรตาปญฺจ ตุภฺยํ ทาสฺยามิ ตนฺ มยิ สมรฺปิตมาเสฺต ยํ ปฺรติ มเมจฺฉา ชายเต ตไสฺม ทาตุํ ศกฺโนมิ,
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 ตฺวํ เจนฺมำ ภชเส ตรฺหิ สรฺวฺวเมตตฺ ตไวว ภวิษฺยติฯ
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 ตทา ยีศุสฺตํ ปฺรตฺยุกฺตวานฺ ทูรี ภว ไศตานฺ ลิปิราเสฺต, นิชํ ปฺรภุํ ปรเมศฺวรํ ภชสฺว เกวลํ ตเมว เสวสฺว จฯ
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 อถ ไศตานฺ ตํ ยิรูศาลมํ นีตฺวา มนฺทิรสฺย จูฑายา อุปริ สมุปเวศฺย ชคาท ตฺวํ เจทีศฺวรสฺย ปุตฺรสฺตรฺหิ สฺถานาทิโต ลมฺผิตฺวาธ:
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 ปต ยโต ลิปิราเสฺต, อาชฺญาปยิษฺยติ สฺวียานฺ ทูตานฺ ส ปรเมศฺวร: ฯ
For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 รกฺษิตุํ สรฺวฺวมารฺเค ตฺวำ เตน ตฺวจฺจรเณ ยถาฯ น ลเคตฺ ปฺรสฺตราฆาตสฺตฺวำ ธริษฺยนฺติ เต ตถาฯ
And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 ตทา ยีศุนา ปฺรตฺยุกฺตมฺ อิทมปฺยุกฺตมสฺติ ตฺวํ สฺวปฺรภุํ ปเรศํ มา ปรีกฺษสฺวฯ
And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 ปศฺจาตฺ ไศตานฺ สรฺวฺวปรีกฺษำ สมาปฺย กฺษณาตฺตํ ตฺยกฺตฺวา ยเยาฯ
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
14 ตทา ยีศุราตฺมปฺรภาวาตฺ ปุนรฺคาลีลฺปฺรเทศํ คตสฺตทา ตตฺสุขฺยาติศฺจตุรฺทิศํ วฺยานเศฯ
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 ส เตษำ ภชนคฺฤเหษุ อุปทิศฺย สรฺไวฺว: ปฺรศํสิโต พภูวฯ
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 อถ ส สฺวปาลนสฺถานํ นาสรตฺปุรเมตฺย วิศฺรามวาเร สฺวาจาราทฺ ภชนเคหํ ปฺรวิศฺย ปฐิตุมุตฺตเสฺถาฯ
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 ตโต ยิศยิยภวิษฺยทฺวาทิน: ปุสฺตเก ตสฺย กรทตฺเต สติ ส ตตฺ ปุสฺตกํ วิสฺตารฺยฺย ยตฺร วกฺษฺยมาณานิ วจนานิ สนฺติ ตตฺ สฺถานํ ปฺราปฺย ปปาฐฯ
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 อาตฺมา ตุ ปรเมศสฺย มทีโยปริ วิทฺยเตฯ ทริเทฺรษุ สุสํวาทํ วกฺตุํ มำ โสภิษิกฺตวานฺฯ ภคฺนานฺต: กรณาโลฺลกานฺ สุสฺวสฺถานฺ กรฺตฺตุเมว จฯ พนฺทีกฺฤเตษุ โลเกษุ มุกฺเต โรฺฆษยิตุํ วจ: ฯ เนตฺราณิ ทาตุมนฺเธภฺยสฺตฺราตุํ พทฺธชนานปิฯ
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 ปเรศานุคฺรเห กาลํ ปฺรจารยิตุเมว จฯ สรฺไวฺวตตฺกรณารฺถาย มาเมว ปฺรหิโณติ ส: ๚
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 ตต: ปุสฺตกํ พทฺวฺวา ปริจารกสฺย หเสฺต สมรฺปฺย จาสเน สมุปวิษฺฏ: , ตโต ภชนคฺฤเห ยาวนฺโต โลกา อาสนฺ เต สรฺเวฺว'นนฺยทฺฤษฺฏฺยา ตํ วิลุโลกิเรฯ
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 อนนฺตรมฺ อไทฺยตานิ สรฺวฺวาณิ ลิขิตวจนานิ ยุษฺมากํ มเธฺย สิทฺธานิ ส อิมำ กถำ เตภฺย: กถยิตุมาเรเภฯ
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
22 ตต: สรฺเวฺว ตสฺมินฺ อนฺวรชฺยนฺต, กิญฺจ ตสฺย มุขานฺนิรฺคตาภิรนุคฺรหสฺย กถาภิศฺจมตฺกฺฤตฺย กถยามาสุ: กิมยํ ยูษผ: ปุโตฺร น?
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
23 ตทา โส'วาทีทฺ เห จิกิตฺสก สฺวเมว สฺวสฺถํ กุรุ กผรฺนาหูมิ ยทฺยตฺ กฺฤตวานฺ ตทเศฺราษฺม ตา: สรฺวา: กฺริยา อตฺร สฺวเทเศ กุรุ กถาเมตำ ยูยเมวาวศฺยํ มำ วทิษฺยถฯ
And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
24 ปุน: โสวาทีทฺ ยุษฺมานหํ ยถารฺถํ วทามิ, โกปิ ภวิษฺยทฺวาที สฺวเทเศ สตฺการํ น ปฺราปฺโนติฯ
And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 อปรญฺจ ยถารฺถํ วจฺมิ, เอลิยสฺย ชีวนกาเล ยทา สารฺทฺธตฺริตยวรฺษาณิ ยาวตฺ ชลทปฺรติพนฺธาตฺ สรฺวฺวสฺมินฺ เทเศ มหาทุรฺภิกฺษมฺ อชนิษฺฏ ตทานีมฺ อิสฺราเยโล เทศสฺย มเธฺย พหฺโวฺย วิธวา อาสนฺ,
But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 กินฺตุ สีโทนฺปฺรเทศียสาริผตฺปุรนิวาสินีมฺ เอกำ วิธวำ วินา กสฺยาศฺจิทปิ สมีเป เอลิย: เปฺรริโต นาภูตฺฯ
But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 อปรญฺจ อิลีศายภวิษฺยทฺวาทิวิทฺยมานตากาเล อิสฺราเยลฺเทเศ พหว: กุษฺฐิน อาสนฺ กินฺตุ สุรียเทศียํ นามานฺกุษฺฐินํ วินา โกปฺยนฺย: ปริษฺกฺฤโต นาภูตฺฯ
And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
28 อิมำ กถำ ศฺรุตฺวา ภชนเคหสฺถิตา โลกา: สโกฺรธมฺ อุตฺถาย
And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 นคราตฺตํ พหิษฺกฺฤตฺย ยสฺย ศิขริณ อุปริ เตษำ นครํ สฺถาปิตมาเสฺต ตสฺมานฺนิกฺเษปฺตุํ ตสฺย ศิขรํ ตํ นินฺยุ:
And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
30 กินฺตุ ส เตษำ มธฺยาทปสฺฤตฺย สฺถานานฺตรํ ชคามฯ
But he passing through the midst of them went his way,
31 ตต: ปรํ ยีศุรฺคาลีลฺปฺรเทศียกผรฺนาหูมฺนคร อุปสฺถาย วิศฺรามวาเร โลกานุปเทษฺฏุมฺ อารพฺธวานฺฯ
And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days.
32 ตทุปเทศาตฺ สรฺเวฺว จมจฺจกฺรุ รฺยตสฺตสฺย กถา คุรุตรา อาสนฺฯ
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
33 ตทานีํ ตทฺภชนเคหสฺถิโต'เมธฺยภูตคฺรสฺต เอโก ชน อุจฺไจ: กถยามาส,
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
34 เห นาสรตียยีโศ'สฺมานฺ ตฺยช, ตฺวยา สหาสฺมากํ ก: สมฺพนฺธ: ? กิมสฺมานฺ วินาศยิตุมายาสิ? ตฺวมีศฺวรสฺย ปวิโตฺร ชน เอตทหํ ชานามิฯ
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
35 ตทา ยีศุสฺตํ ตรฺชยิตฺวาวทตฺ เมานี ภว อิโต พหิรฺภว; ตต: โสเมธฺยภูตสฺตํ มธฺยสฺถาเน ปาตยิตฺวา กิญฺจิทปฺยหึสิตฺวา ตสฺมาทฺ พหิรฺคตวานฺฯ
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
36 ตต: สรฺเวฺว โลกาศฺจมตฺกฺฤตฺย ปรสฺปรํ วกฺตุมาเรภิเร โกยํ จมตฺการ: ฯ เอษ ปฺรภาเวณ ปรากฺรเมณ จาเมธฺยภูตานฺ อาชฺญาปยติ เตไนว เต พหิรฺคจฺฉนฺติฯ
And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 อนนฺตรํ จตุรฺทิกฺสฺถเทศานฺ ตสฺย สุขฺยาติรฺวฺยาปฺโนตฺฯ
And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
38 ตทนนฺตรํ ส ภชนเคหาทฺ พหิราคตฺย ศิโมโน นิเวศนํ ปฺรวิเวศ ตทา ตสฺย ศฺวศฺรูรฺชฺวเรณาตฺยนฺตํ ปีฑิตาสีตฺ ศิษฺยาสฺตทรฺถํ ตสฺมินฺ วินยํ จกฺรุ: ฯ
And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.
39 ตต: ส ตสฺยา: สมีเป สฺถิตฺวา ชฺวรํ ตรฺชยามาส เตไนว ตำ ชฺวโร'ตฺยากฺษีตฺ ตต: สา ตตฺกฺษณมฺ อุตฺถาย ตานฺ สิเษเวฯ
And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
40 อถ สูรฺยฺยาสฺตกาเล เสฺวษำ เย เย ชนา นานาโรไค: ปีฑิตา อาสนฺ โลกาสฺตานฺ ยีโศ: สมีปมฺ อานินฺยุ: , ตทา ส เอไกกสฺย คาเตฺร กรมรฺปยิตฺวา ตานโรคานฺ จการฯ
Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
41 ตโต ภูตา พหุโภฺย นิรฺคตฺย จีตฺศพฺทํ กฺฤตฺวา จ พภาษิเร ตฺวมีศฺวรสฺย ปุโตฺร'ภิษิกฺตตฺราตา; กินฺตุ โสภิษิกฺตตฺราเตติ เต วิวิทุเรตสฺมาตฺ การณาตฺ ตานฺ ตรฺชยิตฺวา ตทฺวกฺตุํ นิษิเษธฯ
And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
42 อปรญฺจ ปฺรภาเต สติ ส วิชนสฺถานํ ปฺรตเสฺถ ปศฺจาตฺ ชนาสฺตมนฺวิจฺฉนฺตสฺตนฺนิกฏํ คตฺวา สฺถานานฺตรคมนารฺถํ ตมนฺวรุนฺธนฺฯ
And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them.
43 กินฺตุ ส ตานฺ ชคาท, อีศฺวรียราชฺยสฺย สุสํวาทํ ปฺรจารยิตุมฺ อนฺยานิ ปุราณฺยปิ มยา ยาตวฺยานิ ยตสฺตทรฺถเมว เปฺรริโตหํฯ
And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.
44 อถ คาลีโล ภชนเคเหษุ ส อุปทิเทศฯ
And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
