1 อนนฺตรํ ส กสฺมึศฺจิตฺ สฺถาเน ปฺรารฺถยต ตตฺสมาปฺเตา สตฺยำ ตไสฺยก: ศิษฺยสฺตํ ชคาท เห ปฺรโภ โยหนฺ ยถา สฺวศิษฺยานฺ ปฺรารฺถยิตุมฺ อุปทิษฺฏวานฺ ตถา ภวานปฺยสฺมานฺ อุปทิศตุฯ
And it fortuned as he was prayinge in a certayne place: when he ceased one of his disciples sayde vnto him: Master teache vs to praye as Iohn taught his disciples.
2 ตสฺมาตฺ ส กถยามาส, ปฺรารฺถนกาเล ยูยมฺ อิตฺถํ กถยธฺวํ, เห อสฺมากํ สฺวรฺคสฺถปิตสฺตว นาม ปูชฺยํ ภวตุ; ตว ราชตฺวํ ภวตุ; สฺวรฺเค ยถา ตถา ปฺฤถิวฺยามปิ ตเวจฺฉยา สรฺวฺวํ ภวตุฯ
And he sayd vnto the: When ye praye saye: O oure father which arte in heave halowed be thy name. Thy kyngdome come. Thy will be fulfilled even in erth as it is in heaven.
3 ปฺรตฺยหมฺ อสฺมากํ ปฺรโยชนียํ โภชฺยํ เทหิฯ
Oure dayly breed geve vs evermore.
4 ยถา วยํ สรฺวฺวานฺ อปราธิน: กฺษมามเห ตถา ตฺวมปิ ปาปานฺยสฺมากํ กฺษมสฺวฯ อสฺมานฺ ปรีกฺษำ มานย กินฺตุ ปาปาตฺมโน รกฺษฯ
And forgeve vs oure synnes: For eve we forgeve every man yt treaspaseth vs. And ledde vs not into teptacio. But deliver vs fro evill.
5 ปศฺจาตฺ โสปรมปิ กถิตวานฺ ยทิ ยุษฺมากํ กสฺยจิทฺ พนฺธุสฺติษฺฐติ นิศีเถ จ ตสฺย สมีปํ ส คตฺวา วทติ,
And he sayde vnto them: if any of you shuld have a frede and shuld goo to him at mid nyght and saye vnto him: frende lende me thre loves
6 เห พนฺโธ ปถิก เอโก พนฺธุ รฺมม นิเวศนมฺ อายาต: กินฺตุ ตสฺยาติถฺยํ กรฺตฺตุํ มมานฺติเก กิมปิ นาสฺติ, อเตอว ปูปตฺรยํ มหฺยมฺ ฤณํ เทหิ;
for a frende of myne is come out of the waye to me and I have nothinge to set before him:
7 ตทา ส ยทิ คฺฤหมธฺยาตฺ ปฺรติวทติ มำ มา กฺลิศาน, อิทานีํ ทฺวารํ รุทฺธํ ศยเน มยา สห พาลกาศฺจ ติษฺฐนฺติ ตุภฺยํ ทาตุมฺ อุตฺถาตุํ น ศกฺโนมิ,
and he within shuld answere and saye trouble me not the dore is now sheet and my servautes are with me in the chamber I canot ryse and geve them to the.
8 ตรฺหิ ยุษฺมานหํ วทามิ, ส ยทิ มิตฺรตยา ตไสฺม กิมปิ ทาตุํ โนตฺติษฺฐติ ตถาปิ วารํ วารํ ปฺรารฺถนาต อุตฺถาปิต: สนฺ ยสฺมินฺ ตสฺย ปฺรโยชนํ ตเทว ทาสฺยติฯ
I saye vnto you though he wold not aryse and geve him because he is his frede: yet because of his importunite he wold rise and geve him as many as he neded.
9 อต: การณาตฺ กถยามิ, ยาจธฺวํ ตโต ยุษฺมภฺยํ ทาสฺยเต, มฺฤคยธฺวํ ตต อุทฺเทศํ ปฺราปฺสฺยถ, ทฺวารมฺ อาหต ตโต ยุษฺมภฺยํ ทฺวารํ โมกฺษฺยเตฯ
And I saye vnto you: axe and it shalbe geven you. Seke and ye shall fynde. knocke and it shalbe opened vnto you.
10 โย ยาจเต ส ปฺราปฺโนติ, โย มฺฤคยเต ส เอโวทฺเทศํ ปฺราปฺโนติ, โย ทฺวารมฺ อาหนฺติ ตทรฺถํ ทฺวารํ โมจฺยเตฯ
For every one that axeth receaveth: and he that seketh fyndeth: and to him that knocketh shall it be openned.
11 ปุเตฺรณ ปูเป ยาจิเต ตไสฺม ปาษาณํ ททาติ วา มตฺเสฺย ยาจิเต ตไสฺม สรฺปํ ททาติ
Yf the sonne shall axe breed of eny of you that is a father: wyll he geve him a stone? Or yf he axe fisshe wyll he for a fysshe geve him a serpent?
12 วา อณฺเฑ ยาจิเต ตไสฺม วฺฤศฺจิกํ ททาติ ยุษฺมากํ มเธฺย ก เอตาทฺฤศ: ปิตาเสฺต?
Or yf he axe an egge: wyll he offer him a scorpion?
13 ตสฺมาเทว ยูยมภทฺรา อปิ ยทิ สฺวสฺวพาลเกภฺย อุตฺตมานิ ทฺรวฺยาณิ ทาตุํ ชานีถ ตรฺหฺยสฺมากํ สฺวรฺคสฺถ: ปิตา นิชยาจเกภฺย: กึ ปวิตฺรมฺ อาตฺมานํ น ทาสฺยติ?
Yf ye then which are evyll canne geve good giftes vnto youre chyldren how moche more shall the father of heaven geve an holy sprete to them that desyre it of him?
14 อนนฺตรํ ยีศุนา กสฺมาจฺจิทฺ เอกสฺมินฺ มูกภูเต ตฺยาชิเต สติ ส ภูตตฺยกฺโต มานุโษ วากฺยํ วกฺตุมฺ อาเรเภ; ตโต โลกา: สกลา อาศฺจรฺยฺยํ เมนิเรฯ
And he was a castynge out a devyll which was dome. And it folowed when the devyll was gone out the domme spake and the people wondred.
15 กินฺตุ เตษำ เกจิทูจุ รฺชโนยํ พาลสิพูพา อรฺถาทฺ ภูตราเชน ภูตานฺ ตฺยาชยติฯ
But some of the sayde: he casteth out devyls by the power of Belzebub the chefe of the devyls.
16 ตํ ปรีกฺษิตุํ เกจิทฺ อากาศียมฺ เอกํ จิหฺนํ ทรฺศยิตุํ ตํ ปฺรารฺถยาญฺจกฺริเรฯ
And other tempted him sekinge of him a signe fro heave.
17 ตทา ส เตษำ มน: กลฺปนำ ชฺญาตฺวา กถยามาส, กสฺยจิทฺ ราชฺยสฺย โลกา ยทิ ปรสฺปรํ วิรุนฺธนฺติ ตรฺหิ ตทฺ ราชฺยมฺ นศฺยติ; เกจิทฺ คฺฤหสฺถา ยทิ ปรสฺปรํ วิรุนฺธนฺติ ตรฺหิ เตปิ นศฺยนฺติฯ
But he knewe their thoughtes and sayde vnto them: Every kingdome devided with in it silfe shalbe desolate: and one housse shall fall vpon another.
18 ตไถว ไศตานปิ สฺวโลกานฺ ยทิ วิรุณทฺธิ ตทา ตสฺย ราชฺยํ กถํ สฺถาสฺยติ? พาลสิพูพาหํ ภูตานฺ ตฺยาชยามิ ยูยมิติ วทถฯ
So if Satan be devided with in him silfe: how shall his kyngdome endure? Because ye saye that I cast out devyls by the power of Belzebub.
19 ยทฺยหํ พาลสิพูพา ภูตานฺ ตฺยาชยามิ ตรฺหิ ยุษฺมากํ สนฺตานา: เกน ตฺยาชยนฺติ? ตสฺมาตฺ เตอว กถายา เอตสฺยา วิจารยิตาโร ภวิษฺยนฺติฯ
Yf I by the power of Belzebub caste oute devyls: by whome do youre chyldren cast them out? Therfore shall they be youre iudges.
20 กินฺตุ ยทฺยหมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ปรากฺรเมณ ภูตานฺ ตฺยาชยามิ ตรฺหิ ยุษฺมากํ นิกฏมฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ราชฺยมวศฺยมฺ อุปติษฺฐติฯ
But if I with ye finger of God cast out devyls noo doute the kyngdome of God is come vpon you.
21 พลวานฺ ปุมานฺ สุสชฺชมาโน ยติกาลํ นิชาฏฺฏาลิกำ รกฺษติ ตติกาลํ ตสฺย ทฺรวฺยํ นิรุปทฺรวํ ติษฺฐติฯ
When a stronge man armed watcheth his housse: yt he possesseth is in peace.
22 กินฺตุ ตสฺมาทฺ อธิกพล: กศฺจิทาคตฺย ยทิ ตํ ชยติ ตรฺหิ เยษุ ศสฺตฺราสฺเตฺรษุ ตสฺย วิศฺวาส อาสีตฺ ตานิ สรฺวฺวาณิ หฺฤตฺวา ตสฺย ทฺรวฺยาณิ คฺฤหฺลาติฯ
But when a stronger then he cometh vpo him and overcometh him: he taketh from him his harnes wherin he trusted and devideth his gooddes.
23 อต: การณาทฺ โย มม สปกฺโษ น ส วิปกฺษ: , โย มยา สห น สํคฺฤหฺลาติ ส วิกิรติฯ
He that is not with me is agaynst me. And he that gadereth not with me scattereth.
24 อปรญฺจ อเมธฺยภูโต มานุษสฺยานฺตรฺนิรฺคตฺย ศุษฺกสฺถาเน ภฺรานฺตฺวา วิศฺรามํ มฺฤคยเต กินฺตุ น ปฺราปฺย วทติ มม ยสฺมาทฺ คฺฤหาทฺ อาคโตหํ ปุนสฺตทฺ คฺฤหํ ปราวฺฤตฺย ยามิฯ
When the vnclene sprete is gone out of a man he walketh through waterlesse places sekinge reest. And when he fyndeth none he sayeth: I will returne agayne vnto my housse whence I came out.
25 ตโต คตฺวา ตทฺ คฺฤหํ มารฺชิตํ โศภิตญฺจ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา
And when he cometh he fyndeth it swept and garnissed.
26 ตตฺกฺษณมฺ อปคตฺย สฺวสฺมาทปิ ทุรฺมฺมตีนฺ อปรานฺ สปฺตภูตานฺ สหานยติ เต จ ตทฺคฺฤหํ ปวิศฺย นิวสนฺติฯ ตสฺมาตฺ ตสฺย มนุษฺยสฺย ปฺรถมทศาต: เศษทศา ทุ: ขตรา ภวติฯ
Then goeth he and taketh to him seve other spretes worsse then himsilfe: and they enter in and dwell there. And the ende of that man is worsse then the begynninge.
27 อสฺยา: กถายา: กถนกาเล ชนตามธฺยสฺถา กาจินฺนารี ตมุจฺไจ: สฺวรํ โปฺรวาจ, ยา โยษิตฺ ตฺวำ ครฺพฺเภ'ธารยตฺ สฺตนฺยมปายยจฺจ ไสว ธนฺยาฯ
And it fortuned as he spake those thinges a certayne woman of the copany lyfte vp her voyce and sayde vnto him: Happy is the wombe that bare the and the pappes which gave the sucke.
28 กินฺตุ โสกถยตฺ เย ปรเมศฺวรสฺย กถำ ศฺรุตฺวา ตทนุรูปมฺ อาจรนฺติ เตอว ธนฺยา: ฯ
But he sayde: Ye happy are they that heare the worde of God and kepe it.
29 ตต: ปรํ ตสฺยานฺติเก พหุโลกานำ สมาคเม ชาเต ส วกฺตุมาเรเภ, อาธุนิกา ทุษฺฏโลกาศฺจิหฺนํ ทฺรษฺฏุมิจฺฉนฺติ กินฺตุ ยูนสฺภวิษฺยทฺวาทินศฺจิหฺนํ วินานฺยตฺ กิญฺจิจฺจิหฺนํ ตานฺ น ทรฺศยิษฺยเตฯ
When the people were gadered thicke to geder: he began to saye. This is an evyll nacion: they seke a signe and ther shall no signe be geven them but the signe of Ionas the Prophet.
30 ยูนสฺ ตุ ยถา นีนิวียโลกานำ สมีเป จิหฺนรูโปภวตฺ ตถา วิทฺยมานโลกานามฺ เอษำ สมีเป มนุษฺยปุโตฺรปิ จิหฺนรูโป ภวิษฺยติฯ
For as Ionas was a signe to the Ninivites so shall ye sonne of ma be to this nacio.
31 วิจารสมเย อิทานีนฺตนโลกานำ ปฺราติกูเลฺยน ทกฺษิณเทศียา ราชฺญี โปฺรตฺถาย ตานฺ โทษิณ: กริษฺยติ, ยต: สา ราชฺญี สุเลมาน อุปเทศกถำ โศฺรตุํ ปฺฤถิวฺยา: สีมาต อาคจฺฉตฺ กินฺตุ ปศฺยต สุเลมาโนปิ คุรุตร เอโก ชโน'สฺมินฺ สฺถาเน วิทฺยเตฯ
The quene of the southe shall ryse at iudgement with the men of this generacio and condempne them: for she came fro the ende of the worlde to heare the wysdome of Salomon. And beholde a greater then Salomon is here.
32 อปรญฺจ วิจารสมเย นีนิวียโลกา อปิ วรฺตฺตมานกาลิกานำ โลกานำ ไวปรีเตฺยน โปฺรตฺถาย ตานฺ โทษิณ: กริษฺยนฺติ, ยโต เหโตเสฺต ยูนโส วากฺยาตฺ จิตฺตานิ ปริวรฺตฺตยามาสุ: กินฺตุ ปศฺยต ยูนโสติคุรุตร เอโก ชโน'สฺมินฺ สฺถาเน วิทฺยเตฯ
The men of Ninive shall ryse at the iudgement wt this generacio and shall condepne the: for they repented at the preachinge of Ionas. And beholde a greater then Ionas is here.
33 ปฺรทีปํ ปฺรชฺวาลฺย โทฺรณสฺยาธ: กุตฺราปิ คุปฺตสฺถาเน วา โกปิ น สฺถาปยติ กินฺตุ คฺฤหปฺรเวศิโภฺย ทีปฺตึ ทาตํ ทีปาธาโรปรฺเยฺยว สฺถาปยติฯ
Noo man lighteth a candell and putteth it in a previe place nether vnder a busshell: But on a candelsticke that they that come in maye se ye light.
34 เทหสฺย ปฺรทีปศฺจกฺษุสฺตสฺมาเทว จกฺษุ รฺยทิ ปฺรสนฺนํ ภวติ ตรฺหิ ตว สรฺวฺวศรีรํ ทีปฺติมทฺ ภวิษฺยติ กินฺตุ จกฺษุ รฺยทิ มลีมสํ ติษฺฐติ ตรฺหิ สรฺวฺวศรีรํ สานฺธการํ สฺถาสฺยติฯ
The light of thy body is the eye. Therfore when thine eye is single: then is all thy body full of light. But if thine eye be evyll: then shall thy body also be full of darknes.
35 อสฺมาตฺ การณาตฺ ตวานฺต: สฺถํ โชฺยติ รฺยถานฺธการมยํ น ภวติ ตทรฺเถ สาวธาโน ภวฯ
Take hede therfore that the light which is in the be not darknes.
36 ยต: ศรีรสฺย กุตฺราปฺยํเศ สานฺธกาเร น ชาเต สรฺวฺวํ ยทิ ทีปฺติมตฺ ติษฺฐติ ตรฺหิ ตุภฺยํ ทีปฺติทายิโปฺรชฺชฺวลนฺ ปฺรทีป อิว ตว สวรฺวศรีรํ ทีปฺติมทฺ ภวิษฺยติฯ
For if all thy body shalbe light havynge noo parte darke: then shall all be full of light even as when a candell doeth light the with his brightnes.
37 เอตตฺกถายา: กถนกาเล ผิรุเศฺยโก เภชนาย ตํ นิมนฺตฺรยามาส, ตต: ส คตฺวา โภกฺตุมฺ อุปวิเวศฯ
And as he spake a certayne Pharise besought him to dyne with him: and he went in and sate doune to meate.
38 กินฺตุ โภชนาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ นามางฺกฺษีตฺ เอตทฺ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวา ส ผิรุศฺยาศฺจรฺยฺยํ เมเนฯ
When the Pharise sawe that he marveylled yt he had not fyrst wesshed before dyner.
39 ตทา ปฺรภุสฺตํ โปฺรวาจ ยูยํ ผิรูศิโลกา: ปานปาตฺราณำ โภชนปาตฺราณาญฺจ พหิ: ปริษฺกุรุถ กินฺตุ ยุษฺมากมนฺต เรฺทาราตฺไมฺย รฺทุษฺกฺริยาภิศฺจ ปริปูรฺณํ ติษฺฐติฯ
And ye Lorde sayde to him: Now do ye Pharises make clene the out side of the cup and of the platter: but youre inwarde parties are full of raveninge and wickednes.
40 เห สรฺเวฺว นิรฺโพธา โย พหิ: สสรฺช ส เอว กิมนฺต รฺน สสรฺช?
Ye foles dyd not he that made that which is without: make that which is within also?
41 ตต เอว ยุษฺมาภิรนฺต: กรณํ (อีศฺวราย) นิเวทฺยตำ ตสฺมินฺ กฺฤเต ยุษฺมากํ สรฺวฺวาณิ ศุจิตำ ยาสฺยนฺติฯ
Neverthelesse geve almose of that ye have and beholde all is clene to you.
42 กินฺตุ หนฺต ผิรูศิคณา ยูยํ นฺยายมฺ อีศฺวเร เปฺรม จ ปริตฺยชฺย โปทินายา อรุทาทีนำ สรฺเวฺวษำ ศากานาญฺจ ทศมำศานฺ ทตฺถ กินฺตุ ปฺรถมํ ปาลยิตฺวา เศษสฺยาลงฺฆนํ ยุษฺมากมฺ อุจิตมาสีตฺฯ
But wo be to you Pharises for ye tithe the mynt and rewe and all manner erbes and passe over iudgment and the love of God. These ought ye to have done and yet not to have left the other vndone.
43 หา หา ผิรูศิโน ยูยํ ภชนเคเห โปฺรจฺจาสเน อาปเณษุ จ นมสฺกาเรษุ ปฺรียเธฺวฯ
Wo be to you Pharises: for ye love the vppermost seates in the synagoges and gretinges in the markets.
44 วต กปฏิโน'ธฺยาปกา: ผิรูศินศฺจ โลกายตฺ ศฺมศานมฺ อนุปลภฺย ตทุปริ คจฺฉนฺติ ยูยมฺ ตาทฺฤคปฺรกาศิตศฺมศานวาทฺ ภวถฯ
Wo be to you scribes and pharises ypocrites for ye are as graves which appere not and the men yt walke over the are not ware of the.
45 ตทานีํ วฺยวสฺถาปกานามฺ เอกา ยีศุมวทตฺ, เห อุปเทศก วาเกฺยเนทฺฤเศนาสฺมาสฺวปิ โทษมฺ อาโรปยสิฯ
Then answered one of the lawears and sayd vnto him: Master thus sayinge thou puttest vs to rebuke also.
46 ตต: ส อุวาจ, หา หา วฺยวสฺถาปกา ยูยมฺ มานุษาณามฺ อุปริ ทุ: สหฺยานฺ ภารานฺ นฺยสฺยถ กินฺตุ สฺวยมฺ เอกางฺคุลฺยาปิ ตานฺ ภารานฺ น สฺปฺฤศถฯ
Then he sayde: Wo be to you also ye lawears: for ye lade men with burthens greveous to be borne and ye youre selves touche not ye packes wt one of youre fyngers.
47 หนฺต ยุษฺมากํ ปูรฺวฺวปุรุษา ยานฺ ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิโน'วธิษุเสฺตษำ ศฺมศานานิ ยูยํ นิรฺมฺมาถฯ
Wo be to you: ye bylde the sepulchres of the Prophetes and youre fathers killed the:
48 เตไนว ยูยํ สฺวปูรฺวฺวปุรุษาณำ กรฺมฺมาณิ สํมนฺยเธฺว ตเทว สปฺรมาณํ กุรุถ จ, ยตเสฺต ตานวธิษุ: ยูยํ เตษำ ศฺมศานานิ นิรฺมฺมาถฯ
truly ye beare witnes that ye alowe the dedes of youre fathers for they kylled them and ye bylde their sepulchres.
49 อเตอว อีศฺวรสฺย ศาสฺเตฺร โปฺรกฺตมสฺติ เตษามนฺติเก ภวิษฺยทฺวาทิน: เปฺรริตำศฺจ เปฺรษยิษฺยามิ ตตเสฺต เตษำ กำศฺจน หนิษฺยนฺติ กำศฺจน ตาฑศฺษฺยินฺติฯ
Therfore sayde ye wisdome of God: I will send them Prophetes and Apostles and of them they shall slee and persecute:
50 เอตสฺมาตฺ การณาตฺ หาพิล: โศณิตปาตมารภฺย มนฺทิรยชฺญเวโทฺย รฺมเธฺย หตสฺย สิขริยสฺย รกฺตปาตปรฺยฺยนฺตํ
that the bloude of all Prophetes which was sheed fro the beginninge of the worlde maye be requyred of this generacion
51 ชคต: สฺฤษฺฏิมารภฺย ปฺฤถิวฺยำ ภวิษฺยทฺวาทินำ ยติรกฺตปาตา ชาตาสฺตตีนามฺ อปราธทณฺฑา เอษำ วรฺตฺตมานโลกานำ ภวิษฺยนฺติ, ยุษฺมานหํ นิศฺจิตํ วทามิ สรฺเวฺว ทณฺฑา วํศสฺยาสฺย ภวิษฺยนฺติฯ
from the bloud of Abell vnto the bloud of zachary which perisshed bitwene the aulter and the temple. Verely I saye vnto you: it shalbe requyred of this nacion.
52 หา หา วฺยวสฺถปกา ยูยํ ชฺญานสฺย กุญฺจิกำ หฺฤตฺวา สฺวยํ น ปฺรวิษฺฏา เย ปฺรเวษฺฏุญฺจ ปฺรยาสินสฺตานปิ ปฺรเวษฺฏุํ วาริตวนฺต: ฯ
Wo be to you lawears: for ye have taken awaye ye keye of knowledge ye entred not in youre selves and them that came in ye forbade.
53 อิตฺถํ กถากถนาทฺ อธฺยาปกา: ผิรูศินศฺจ สตรฺกา:
When he thus spake vnto them the lawears and the Pharises began to wexe busye about him and to stop his mouth with many questions
54 สนฺตสฺตมปวทิตุํ ตสฺย กถายา โทษํ ธรฺตฺตมิจฺฉนฺโต นานาขฺยานกถนาย ตํ ปฺรวรฺตฺตยิตุํ โกปยิตุญฺจ ปฺราเรภิเรฯ
layinge wayte for him and sekinge to catche somethinge of his mought wherby they might accuse him.
