๑ ถิษลนีกิน: 1

1 เปาล: สิลฺวานสฺตีมถิยศฺจ ปิตุรีศฺวรสฺย ปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย จาศฺรยํ ปฺราปฺตา ถิษลนีกียสมิตึ ปฺรติ ปตฺรํ ลิขนฺติฯ อสฺมากํ ตาต อีศฺวร: ปฺรภุ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏศฺจ ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺรตฺยนุคฺรหํ ศานฺติญฺจ กฺริยาสฺตำฯ

I PAUL and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, which is in God the Father and in our Lord Jesus the Messiah: Grace be with you, and peace.

2 วยํ สรฺเวฺวษำ ยุษฺมากํ กฺฤเต อีศฺวรํ ธนฺยํ วทาม: ปฺรารฺถนาสมเย ยุษฺมากํ นาโมจฺจารยาม: ,

We give thanks to God at all times, on account of you all, and remember you continually in our prayers:

3 อสฺมากํ ตาตเสฺยศฺวรสฺย สากฺษาตฺ ปฺรเภา ยีศุขฺรีษฺเฏ ยุษฺมากํ วิศฺวาเสน ยตฺ การฺยฺยํ เปฺรมฺนา ย: ปริศฺรม: ปฺรตฺยาศยา จ ยา ติติกฺษา ชายเต

and we call to mind before God the Father the works of your faith, and the toil of your love, and the patience of your hope in our Lord Jesus the Messiah.

4 ตตฺ สรฺวฺวํ นิรนฺตรํ สฺมรามศฺจฯ เห ปิยภฺราตร: , ยูยมฺ อีศฺวเรณาภิรุจิตา โลกา อิติ วยํ ชานีม: ฯ

For we know your election, my brethren, beloved of God.

5 ยโต'สฺมากํ สุสํวาท: เกวลศพฺเทน ยุษฺมานฺ น ปฺรวิศฺย ศกฺตฺยา ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา มโหตฺสาเหน จ ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺราวิศตฺฯ วยนฺตุ ยุษฺมากํ กฺฤเต ยุษฺมนฺมเธฺย กีทฺฤศา อภวาม ตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ รฺชฺญายเตฯ

For our preaching among you, was not in words only; but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in genuine persuasion. Ye also know, how we were among you for your sakes.

6 ยูยมปิ พหุเกฺลศโภเคน ปวิเตฺรณาตฺมนา ทตฺเตนานนฺเทน จ วากฺยํ คฺฤหีตฺวาสฺมากํ ปฺรโภศฺจานุคามิโน'ภวตฯ

And ye became imitators of us, and of our Lord, in that ye received the word in great affliction, and with the joy of the Holy Spirit.

7 เตน มากิทนิยาขายาเทศโย รฺยาวนฺโต วิศฺวาสิโน โลกา: สนฺติ ยูยํ เตษำ สรฺเวฺวษำ นิทรฺศนสฺวรูปา ชาตา: ฯ

And ye were a pattern for all the believers who are in Macedonia and in Achaia.

8 ยโต ยุษฺมตฺต: ปฺรตินาทิตยา ปฺรโภ รฺวาณฺยา มากิทนิยาขายาเทเศา วฺยาปฺเตา เกวลเมตนฺนหิ กินฺตฺวีศฺวเร ยุษฺมากํ โย วิศฺวาสสฺตสฺย วารฺตฺตา สรฺวฺวตฺราศฺราวิ, ตสฺมาตฺ ตตฺร วากฺยกถนมฺ อสฺมากํ นิษฺปฺรโยชนํฯ

For from you the word of our Lord sounded forth; and not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place, your faith in God is heard of; so that we have no need to say any thing concerning you.

9 ยโต ยุษฺมนฺมเธฺย วยํ กีทฺฤศํ ปฺรเวศํ ปฺราปฺตา ยูยญฺจ กถํ ปฺรติมา วิหาเยศฺวรํ ปฺรตฺยาวรฺตฺตธฺวมฺ อมรํ สตฺยมีศฺวรํ เสวิตุํ

For they declare, what an ingress we had to you, and how ye turned from the worship of idols unto God, that ye might worship the living and true God;

10 มฺฤตคณมธฺยาจฺจ เตโนตฺถาปิตสฺย ปุตฺรสฺยารฺถต อาคามิโกฺรธาทฺ อสฺมากํ นิสฺตารยิตุ รฺยีโศ: สฺวรฺคาทฺ อาคมนํ ปฺรตีกฺษิตุมฺ อารภธฺวมฺ เอตตฺ สรฺวฺวํ เต โลกา: สฺวยมฺ อสฺมานฺ ชฺญาปยนฺติฯ

while ye wait for his Son from heaven, that Jesus whom he raised from the dead, who delivereth us from the wrath to come.
