1 ปนฺต-คาลาติยา-กปฺปทกิยา-อาศิยา-พิถุนิยาเทเศษุ ปฺรวาสิโน เย วิกีรฺณโลกา:
Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ, to [the] sojourners of [the] dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 ปิตุรีศฺวรสฺย ปูรฺวฺวนิรฺณยาทฺ อาตฺมน: ปาวเนน ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาชฺญาคฺรหณาย โศณิตโปฺรกฺษณาย จาภิรุจิตาสฺตานฺ ปฺรติ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย เปฺรริต: ปิตร: ปตฺรํ ลิขติฯ ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺรติ พาหุเลฺยน ศานฺติรนุคฺรหศฺจ ภูยาสฺตำฯ
elect according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father, by sanctification of [the] Spirit, unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
3 อสฺมากํ ปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ตาต อีศฺวโร ธนฺย: , ยต: ส สฺวกียพหุกฺฤปาโต มฺฤตคณมธฺยาทฺ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏโสฺยตฺถาเนน ชีวนปฺรตฺยาศารฺถมฺ อรฺถโต
Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,
4 'กฺษยนิษฺกลงฺกามฺลานสมฺปตฺติปฺราปฺตฺยรฺถมฺ อสฺมานฺ ปุน รฺชนยามาสฯ สา สมฺปตฺติ: สฺวรฺเค 'สฺมากํ กฺฤเต สญฺจิตา ติษฺฐติ,
to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you,
5 ยูยญฺเจศฺวรสฺย ศกฺติต: เศษกาเล ปฺรกาศฺยปริตฺราณารฺถํ วิศฺวาเสน รกฺษฺยเธฺวฯ
who are kept guarded by [the] power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in [the] last time.
6 ตสฺมาทฺ ยูยํ ยทฺยปฺยานนฺเทน ปฺรผุลฺลา ภวถ ตถาปิ สามฺปฺรตํ ปฺรโยชนเหโต: กิยตฺกาลปรฺยฺยนฺตํ นานาวิธปรีกฺษาภิ: กฺลิศฺยเธฺวฯ
Wherein ye exult, for a little while at present, if needed, put to grief by various trials,
7 ยโต วหฺนินา ยสฺย ปรีกฺษา ภวติ ตสฺมาตฺ นศฺวรสุวรฺณาทปิ พหุมูลฺยํ ยุษฺมากํ วิศฺวาสรูปํ ยตฺ ปรีกฺษิตํ สฺวรฺณํ เตน ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาคมนสมเย ปฺรศํสายา: สมาทรสฺย เคารวสฺย จ โยคฺยตา ปฺราปฺตวฺยาฯ
that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes, though it be proved by fire, be found to praise and glory and honour in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ:
8 ยูยํ ตํ ขฺรีษฺฏมฺ อทฺฤษฺฏฺวาปิ ตสฺมินฺ ปฺรียเธฺว สามฺปฺรตํ ตํ น ปศฺยนฺโต'ปิ ตสฺมินฺ วิศฺวสนฺโต 'นิรฺวฺวจนีเยน ปฺรภาวยุกฺเตน จานนฺเทน ปฺรผุลฺลา ภวถ,
whom, having not seen, ye love; on whom [though] not now looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with [the] glory,
9 สฺววิศฺวาสสฺย ปริณามรูปมฺ อาตฺมนำ ปริตฺราณํ ลภเธฺว จฯ
receiving the end of your faith, [the] salvation of [your] souls.
10 ยุษฺมาสุ โย 'นุคฺรโห วรฺตฺตเต ตทฺวิษเย ย อีศฺวรียวากฺยํ กถิตวนฺตเสฺต ภวิษฺยทฺวาทินสฺตสฺย ปริตฺราณสฺยาเนฺวษณมฺ อนุสนฺธานญฺจ กฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
Concerning which salvation prophets, who have prophesied of the grace towards you, sought out and searched out;
11 วิเศษตเสฺตษามนฺตรฺวฺวาสี ย: ขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาตฺมา ขฺรีษฺเฏ วรฺตฺติษฺยมาณานิ ทุ: ขานิ ตทนุคามิปฺรภาวญฺจ ปูรฺวฺวํ ปฺรากาศยตฺ เตน ก: กีทฺฤโศ วา สมโย นิรทิศฺยไตตสฺยานุสนฺธานํ กฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ which [was] in them pointed out, testifying before of the sufferings which [belonged] to Christ, and the glories after these.
12 ตตไสฺต รฺวิษไยเสฺต ยนฺน สฺวานฺ กินฺตฺวสฺมานฺ อุปกุรฺวฺวนฺเตฺยตตฺ เตษำ นิกเฏ ปฺรากาศฺยตฯ ยำศฺจ ตานฺ วิษยานฺ ทิวฺยทูตา อปฺยวนตศิรโส นิรีกฺษิตุมฺ อภิลษนฺติ เต วิษยา: สามฺปฺรตํ สฺวรฺคาตฺ เปฺรษิตสฺย ปวิตฺรสฺยาตฺมน: สหายฺยาทฺ ยุษฺมตฺสมีเป สุสํวาทปฺรจารยิตฺฤภิ: ปฺรากาศฺยนฺตฯ
To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves but to you they ministered those things, which have now been announced to you by those who have declared to you the glad tidings by [the] Holy Spirit, sent from heaven, which angels desire to look into.
13 อเตอว ยูยํ มน: กฏิพนฺธนํ กฺฤตฺวา ปฺรพุทฺธา: สนฺโต ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ปฺรกาศสมเย ยุษฺมาสุ วรฺตฺติษฺยมานสฺยานุคฺรหสฺย สมฺปูรฺณำ ปฺรตฺยาศำ กุรุตฯ
Wherefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, [be] sober [and] hope with perfect stedfastness in the grace [which will be] brought to you at [the] revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 อปรํ ปูรฺวฺวียาชฺญานตาวสฺถายา: กุตฺสิตาภิลาษาณำ โยคฺยมฺ อาจารํ น กุรฺวฺวนฺโต ยุษฺมทาหฺวานการี ยถา ปวิโตฺร 'สฺติ
as children of obedience, not conformed to [your] former lusts in your ignorance;
15 ยูยมปฺยาชฺญาคฺราหิสนฺตานา อิว สรฺวฺวสฺมินฺ อาจาเร ตาทฺฤกฺ ปวิตฺรา ภวตฯ
but as he who has called you is holy, be ye also holy in all [your] conversation;
16 ยโต ลิขิตมฺ อาเสฺต, ยูยํ ปวิตฺราสฺติษฺฐต ยสฺมาทหํ ปวิตฺร: ฯ
because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy.
17 อปรญฺจ โย วินาปกฺษปาตมฺ เอไกกมานุษสฺย กรฺมฺมานุสาราทฺ วิจารํ กโรติ ส ยทิ ยุษฺมาภิสฺตาต อาขฺยายเต ตรฺหิ สฺวปฺรวาสสฺย กาโล ยุษฺมาภิ รฺภีตฺยา ยาปฺยตำฯ
And if ye invoke as Father him who, without regard of persons, judges according to the work of each, pass your time of sojourn in fear,
18 ยูยํ นิรรฺถกาตฺ ไปตฺฤกาจาราตฺ กฺษยณีไย รูปฺยสุวรฺณาทิภิ รฺมุกฺตึ น ปฺราปฺย
knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible [things, as] silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from [your] fathers,
19 นิษฺกลงฺกนิรฺมฺมลเมษศาวกเสฺยว ขฺรีษฺฏสฺย พหุมูเลฺยน รุธิเรณ มุกฺตึ ปฺราปฺตวนฺต อิติ ชานีถฯ
but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ,
20 ส ชคโต ภิตฺติมูลสฺถาปนาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ นิยุกฺต: กินฺตุ จรมทิเนษุ ยุษฺมทรฺถํ ปฺรกาศิโต 'ภวตฺฯ
foreknown indeed before [the] foundation of [the] world, but who has been manifested at the end of times for your sakes,
21 ยตเสฺตไนว มฺฤตคณาตฺ ตโสฺยตฺถาปยิตริ ตไสฺม เคารวทาตริ เจศฺวเร วิศฺวสิถ ตสฺมาทฺ อีศฺวเร ยุษฺมากํ วิศฺวาส: ปฺรตฺยาศา จาเสฺตฯ
who by him do believe on God, who has raised him from among [the] dead and given him glory, that your faith and hope should be in God.
22 ยูยมฺ อาตฺมนา สตฺยมตสฺยาชฺญาคฺรหณทฺวารา นิษฺกปฏาย ภฺราตฺฤเปฺรมฺเน ปาวิตมนโส ภูตฺวา นิรฺมฺมลานฺต: กรไณ: ปรสฺปรํ คาฒํ เปฺรม กุรุตฯ
Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently;
23 ยสฺมาทฺ ยูยํ กฺษยณียวีรฺยฺยาตฺ นหิ กินฺตฺวกฺษยณียวีรฺยฺยาทฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ชีวนทายเกน นิตฺยสฺถายินา วาเกฺยน ปุนรฺชนฺม คฺฤหีตวนฺต: ฯ (aiōn g165)
being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by [the] living and abiding word of God. (aiōn g165)
24 สรฺวฺวปฺราณี ตฺฤไณสฺตุลฺยสฺตตฺเตชสฺตฺฤณปุษฺปวตฺฯ ตฺฤณานิ ปริศุษฺยติ ปุษฺปาณิ นิปตนฺติ จฯ
Because all flesh [is] as grass, and all its glory as [the] flower of grass. The grass has withered and [its] flower has fallen;
