๑ โยหน: 1
1 อาทิโต ย อาสีทฺ ยสฺย วาคฺ อสฺมาภิรศฺราวิ ยญฺจ วยํ สฺวเนไตฺร รฺทฺฤษฺฏวนฺโต ยญฺจ วีกฺษิตวนฺต: สฺวกไร: สฺปฺฤษฺฏวนฺตศฺจ ตํ ชีวนวาทํ วยํ ชฺญาปยาม: ฯ
WE announce to you that, which was from the beginning, which we have heard, and have seen with our eyes, looked upon, and handled with our hands, that which is the word of life.
2 ส ชีวนสฺวรูป: ปฺรกาศต วยญฺจ ตํ ทฺฤษฺฏวนฺตสฺตมธิ สากฺษฺยํ ททฺมศฺจ, ยศฺจ ปิตุ: สนฺนิธาววรฺตฺตตาสฺมากํ สมีเป ปฺรกาศต จ ตมฺ อนนฺตชีวนสฺวรูปํ วยํ ยุษฺมานฺ ชฺญาปยาม: ฯ (aiōnios g166)
And the life was manifested, and we have seen and do testify and announce to you, the life which is eternal; which was with the Father, and was revealed to us. (aiōnios g166)
3 อสฺมาภิ รฺยทฺ ทฺฤษฺฏํ ศฺรุตญฺจ ตเทว ยุษฺมานฺ ชฺญาปฺยเต เตนาสฺมาภิ: สหำศิตฺวํ ยุษฺมากํ ภวิษฺยติฯ อสฺมากญฺจ สหำศิตฺวํ ปิตฺรา ตตฺปุเตฺรณ ยีศุขฺรีษฺเฏน จ สารฺทฺธํ ภวติฯ
And what we have seen and heard, we make known to you also, that ye may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus the Messiah.
4 อปรญฺจ ยุษฺมากมฺ อานนฺโท ยตฺ สมฺปูรฺโณ ภเวทฺ ตทรฺถํ วยมฺ เอตานิ ลิขาม: ฯ
And these things we write to you, that our joy in you may be complete.
5 วยํ ยำ วารฺตฺตำ ตสฺมาตฺ ศฺรุตฺวา ยุษฺมานฺ ชฺญาปยาม: เสยมฺฯ อีศฺวโร โชฺยติสฺตสฺมินฺ อนฺธการสฺย เลโศ'ปิ นาสฺติฯ
And this is the announcement, which we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light, and no darkness at all is in him.
6 วยํ เตน สหำศิน อิติ คทิตฺวา ยทฺยนฺธากาเร จรามสฺตรฺหิ สตฺยาจาริโณ น สนฺโต 'นฺฤตวาทิโน ภวาม: ฯ
And if we say that we have fellowship with him, and we walk in the darkness, we are liars, and walk not in the truth.
7 กินฺตุ ส ยถา โชฺยติษิ วรฺตฺตเต ตถา วยมปิ ยทิ โชฺยติษิ จรามสฺตรฺหิ ปรสฺปรํ สหภาคิโน ภวามสฺตสฺย ปุตฺรสฺย ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย รุธิรญฺจาสฺมานฺ สรฺวฺวสฺมาตฺ ปาปาตฺ ศุทฺธยติฯ
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with each other and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all our sins.
8 วยํ นิษฺปาปา อิติ ยทิ วทามสฺตรฺหิ สฺวยเมว สฺวานฺ วญฺจยาม: สตฺยมตญฺจาสฺมากมฺ อนฺตเร น วิทฺยเตฯ
And if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 ยทิ สฺวปาปานิ สฺวีกุรฺมฺมเห ตรฺหิ ส วิศฺวาโสฺย ยาถารฺถิกศฺจาสฺติ ตสฺมาทฺ อสฺมากํ ปาปานิ กฺษมิษฺยเต สรฺวฺวสฺมาทฺ อธรฺมฺมาจฺจาสฺมานฺ ศุทฺธยิษฺยติฯ
But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all our iniquity.
10 วยมฺ อกฺฤตปาปา อิติ ยทิ วทามสฺตรฺหิ ตมฺ อนฺฤตวาทินํ กุรฺมฺมสฺตสฺย วากฺยญฺจาสฺมากมฺ อนฺตเร น วิทฺยเตฯ
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not with us.
