๑ กรินฺถิน: 10
1 เห ภฺราตร: , อสฺมตฺปิตฺฤปุรุษานธิ ยูยํ ยทชฺญาตา น ติษฺฐเตติ มม วาญฺฉา, เต สรฺเวฺว เมฆาธ: สฺถิตา พภูวุ: สรฺเวฺว สมุทฺรมเธฺยน ววฺรชุ: ,
For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 สรฺเวฺว มูสามุทฺทิศฺย เมฆสมุทฺรโย รฺมชฺชิตา พภูวุ:
and all were baptised unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 สรฺวฺว เอกมฺ อาตฺมิกํ ภกฺษฺยํ พุภุชิร เอกมฺ อาตฺมิกํ เปยํ ปปุศฺจ
and all ate the same spiritual food,
4 ยตเสฺต'นุจรต อาตฺมิกาทฺ อจลาตฺ ลพฺธํ โตยํ ปปุ: โส'จล: ขฺรีษฺเฏอวฯ
and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank of a spiritual rock which followed [them]: (now the rock was the Christ; )
5 ตถา สตฺยปิ เตษำ มเธฺย'ธิเกษุ โลเกษฺวีศฺวโร น สนฺตุโตเษติ เหโตเสฺต ปฺรนฺตเร นิปาติตา: ฯ
yet God was not pleased with the most of them, for they were strewed in the desert.
6 เอตสฺมินฺ เต 'สฺมากํ นิทรฺศนสฺวรูปา พภูวุ: ; อตเสฺต ยถา กุตฺสิตาภิลาษิโณ พภูวุรสฺมาภิสฺตถา กุตฺสิตาภิลาษิภิ รฺน ภวิตวฺยํฯ
But these things happened [as] types of us, that we should not be lusters after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 ลิขิตมาเสฺต, โลกา โภกฺตุํ ปาตุญฺโจปวิวิศุสฺตต: กฺรีฑิตุมุตฺถิตา อิตยเนน ปฺรกาเรณ เตษำ ไกศฺจิทฺ ยทฺวทฺ เทวปูชา กฺฤตา ยุษฺมาภิสฺตทฺวตฺ น กฺริยตำฯ
Neither be ye idolaters, as some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
8 อปรํ เตษำ ไกศฺจิทฺ ยทฺวทฺ วฺยภิจาร: กฺฤตเสฺตน ไจกสฺมินฺ ทิเน ตฺรโยวึศติสหสฺราณิ โลกา นิปาติตาสฺตทฺวทฺ อสฺมาภิ รฺวฺยภิจาโร น กรฺตฺตวฺย: ฯ
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 เตษำ เกจิทฺ ยทฺวตฺ ขฺรีษฺฏํ ปรีกฺษิตวนฺตสฺตสฺมาทฺ ภุชงฺไค รฺนษฺฏาศฺจ ตทฺวทฺ อสฺมาภิ: ขฺรีษฺโฏ น ปรีกฺษิตวฺย: ฯ
Neither let us tempt the Christ, as some of them tempted, and perished by serpents.
10 เตษำ เกจิทฺ ยถา วากฺกลหํ กฺฤตวนฺตสฺตตฺการณาตฺ หนฺตฺรา วินาศิตาศฺจ ยุษฺมาภิสฺตทฺวทฺ วากฺกลโห น กฺริยตำฯ
Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
11 ตานฺ ปฺรติ ยาเนฺยตานิ ชฆฏิเร ตานฺยสฺมากํ นิทรฺศนานิ ชคต: เศษยุเค วรฺตฺตมานานามฺ อสฺมากํ ศิกฺษารฺถํ ลิขิตานิ จ พภูวุ: ฯ (aiōn g165)
Now all these things happened to them [as] types, and have been written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come. (aiōn g165)
12 อเตอว ย: กศฺจิทฺ สุสฺถิรํมนฺย: ส ยนฺน ปเตตฺ ตตฺร สาวธาโน ภวตุฯ
So that let him that thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.
13 มานุษิกปรีกฺษาติริกฺตา กาปิ ปรีกฺษา ยุษฺมานฺ นากฺรามตฺ, อีศฺวรศฺจ วิศฺวาสฺย: โส'ติศกฺตฺยำ ปรีกฺษายำ ปตนาตฺ ยุษฺมานฺ รกฺษิษฺยติ, ปรีกฺษา จ ยทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ: โสฒุํ ศกฺยเต ตทรฺถํ ตยา สห นิสฺตารสฺย ปนฺถานํ นิรูปยิษฺยติฯ
No temptation has taken you but such as is according to man's nature; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able [to bear], but will with the temptation make the issue also, so that [ye] should be able to bear [it].
14 เห ปฺริยภฺราตร: , เทวปูชาโต ทูรมฺ อปสรตฯ
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
15 อหํ ยุษฺมานฺ วิชฺญานฺ มตฺวา ปฺรภาเษ มยา ยตฺ กถฺยเต ตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ รฺวิวิจฺยตำฯ
I speak as to intelligent [persons]: do ye judge what I say.
16 ยทฺ ธนฺยวาทปาตฺรมฺ อสฺมาภิ รฺธนฺยํ คทฺยเต ตตฺ กึ ขฺรีษฺฏสฺย โศณิตสฺย สหภาคิตฺวํ นหิ? ยศฺจ ปูโป'สฺมาภิ รฺภชฺยเต ส กึ ขฺรีษฺฏสฺย วปุษ: สหภาคิตฺวํ นหิ?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not [the] communion of the blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not [the] communion of the body of the Christ?
17 วยํ พหว: สนฺโต'เปฺยกปูปสฺวรูปา เอกวปุ: สฺวรูปาศฺจ ภวาม: , ยโต วยํ สรฺวฺว เอกปูปสฺย สหภาคิน: ฯ
Because we, [being] many, are one loaf, one body; for we all partake of that one loaf.
18 ยูยํ ศารีริกมฺ อิสฺราเยลียวํศํ นิรีกฺษธฺวํฯ เย พลีนำ มำสานิ ภุญฺชเต เต กึ ยชฺญเวทฺยา: สหภาคิโน น ภวนฺติ?
See Israel according to flesh: are not they who eat the sacrifices in communion with the altar?
19 อิตฺยเนน มยา กึ กถฺยเต? เทวตา วาสฺตวิกี เทวตาไย พลิทานํ วา วาสฺตวิกํ กึ ภเวตฺ?
What then do I say? that what is sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything?
20 ตนฺนหิ กินฺตุ ภินฺนชาติภิ เรฺย พลโย ทียนฺเต ต อีศฺวราย ตนฺนหิ ภูเตภฺเยอว ทียนฺเต ตสฺมาทฺ ยูยํ ยทฺ ภูตานำ สหภาคิโน ภวเถตฺยหํ นาภิลษามิฯ
But that what [the nations] sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. Now I do not wish you to be in communion with demons.
21 ปฺรโภ: กํเสน ภูตานามปิ กํเสน ปานํ ยุษฺมาภิรสาธฺยํ; ยูยํ ปฺรโภ โรฺภชฺยสฺย ภูตานามปิ โภชฺยสฺย สหภาคิโน ภวิตุํ น ศกฺนุถฯ
Ye cannot drink [the] Lord's cup, and [the] cup of demons: ye cannot partake of [the] Lord's table, and of [the] table of demons.
22 วยํ กึ ปฺรภุํ สฺปรฺทฺธิษฺยามเห? วยํ กึ ตสฺมาทฺ พลวนฺต: ?
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 มำ ปฺรติ สรฺวฺวํ กรฺมฺมาปฺรติษิทฺธํ กินฺตุ น สรฺวฺวํ หิตชนกํ สรฺวฺวมฺ อปฺรติษิทฺธํ กินฺตุ น สรฺวฺวํ นิษฺฐาชนกํฯ
All things are lawful, but all are not profitable; all things are lawful, but all do not edify.
24 อาตฺมหิต: เกนาปิ น เจษฺฏิตวฺย: กินฺตุ สรฺไวฺว: ปรหิตศฺเจษฺฏิตวฺย: ฯ
Let no one seek his own [advantage], but that of the other.
25 อาปเณ ยตฺ กฺรยฺยํ ตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ: สํเวทสฺยารฺถํ กิมปิ น ปฺฤษฺฏฺวา ภุชฺยตำ
Everything sold in the shambles eat, making no inquiry for conscience sake.
26 ยต: ปฺฤถิวี ตนฺมธฺยสฺถญฺจ สรฺวฺวํ ปรเมศฺวรสฺยฯ
For the earth [is] the Lord's and its fulness.
27 อปรมฺ อวิศฺวาสิโลกานำ เกนจิตฺ นิมนฺตฺริตา ยูยํ ยทิ ตตฺร ชิคมิษถ ตรฺหิ เตน ยทฺ ยทฺ อุปสฺถาปฺยเต ตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ: สํเวทสฺยารฺถํ กิมปิ น ปฺฤษฺฏฺวา ภุชฺยตำฯ
But if any one of the unbelievers invite you, and ye are minded to go, all that is set before you eat, making no inquiry for conscience sake.
28 กินฺตุ ตตฺร ยทิ กศฺจิทฺ ยุษฺมานฺ วเทตฺ ภกฺษฺยเมตทฺ เทวตายา: ปฺรสาท อิติ ตรฺหิ ตสฺย ชฺญาปยิตุรนุโรธาตฺ สํเวทสฺยารฺถญฺจ ตทฺ ยุษฺมาภิ รฺน โภกฺตวฺยํฯ ปฺฤถิวี ตนฺมธฺยสฺถญฺจ สรฺวฺวํ ปรเมศฺวรสฺย,
But if any one say to you, This is offered to holy purposes, do not eat, for his sake that pointed it out, and conscience sake;
29 สตฺยเมตตฺ, กินฺตุ มยา ย: สํเวโท นิรฺทฺทิศฺยเต ส ตว นหิ ปรไสฺยวฯ
but conscience, I mean, not thine own, but that of the other: for why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
30 อนุคฺรหปาเตฺรณ มยา ธนฺยวาทํ กฺฤตฺวา ยทฺ ภุชฺยเต ตตฺการณาทฺ อหํ กุโต นินฺทิเษฺย?
If I partake with thanksgiving, why am I spoken evil of for what I give thanks for?
31 ตสฺมาทฺ โภชนํ ปานมฺ อนฺยทฺวา กรฺมฺม กุรฺวฺวทฺภิ รฺยุษฺมาภิ: สรฺวฺวเมเวศฺวรสฺย มหิมฺน: ปฺรกาศารฺถํ กฺริยตำฯ
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatever ye do, do all things to God's glory.
32 ยิหูทียานำ ภินฺนชาตียานามฺ อีศฺวรสฺย สมาชสฺย วา วิฆฺนชนไก รฺยุษฺมาภิ รฺน ภวิตวฺยํฯ
Give no occasion to stumbling, whether to Jews, or Greeks, or the assembly of God.
33 อหมปฺยาตฺมหิตมฺ อเจษฺฏมาโน พหูนำ ปริตฺราณารฺถํ เตษำ หิตํ เจษฺฏมาน: สรฺวฺววิษเย สรฺเวฺวษำ ตุษฺฏิกโร ภวามีตฺยเนนาหํ ยทฺวตฺ ขฺรีษฺฏสฺยานุคามี ตทฺวทฺ ยูยํ มมานุคามิโน ภวตฯ
Even as I also please all in all things; not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
