యోహనః 1
1 ఆదౌ వాద ఆసీత్ స చ వాద ఈశ్వరేణ సార్ధమాసీత్ స వాదః స్వయమీశ్వర ఏవ|
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 స ఆదావీశ్వరేణ సహాసీత్|
He was in the beginning with God.
3 తేన సర్వ్వం వస్తు ససృజే సర్వ్వేషు సృష్టవస్తుషు కిమపి వస్తు తేనాసృష్టం నాస్తి|
All things were made through him, and apart from him nothing was made that has been made.
4 స జీవనస్యాకారః, తచ్చ జీవనం మనుష్యాణాం జ్యోతిః
In him was life, and the life was the light of humanity.
5 తజ్జ్యోతిరన్ధకారే ప్రచకాశే కిన్త్వన్ధకారస్తన్న జగ్రాహ|
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it.
6 యోహన్ నామక ఏకో మనుజ ఈశ్వరేణ ప్రేషయాఞ్చక్రే|
There came a man, sent from God, whose name was Yukhanan.
7 తద్వారా యథా సర్వ్వే విశ్వసన్తి తదర్థం స తజ్జ్యోతిషి ప్రమాణం దాతుం సాక్షిస్వరూపో భూత్వాగమత్,
He came as a witness to testify about the light, that all might believe through him.
8 స స్వయం తజ్జ్యోతి ర్న కిన్తు తజ్జ్యోతిషి ప్రమాణం దాతుమాగమత్|
He was not the light, but was sent that he might testify about the light.
9 జగత్యాగత్య యః సర్వ్వమనుజేభ్యో దీప్తిం దదాతి తదేవ సత్యజ్యోతిః|
The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.
10 స యజ్జగదసృజత్ తన్మద్య ఏవ స ఆసీత్ కిన్తు జగతో లోకాస్తం నాజానన్|
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, but the world did not recognize him.
11 నిజాధికారం స ఆగచ్ఛత్ కిన్తు ప్రజాస్తం నాగృహ్లన్|
He came to his own, and those who were his own did not receive him.
12 తథాపి యే యే తమగృహ్లన్ అర్థాత్ తస్య నామ్ని వ్యశ్వసన్ తేభ్య ఈశ్వరస్య పుత్రా భవితుమ్ అధికారమ్ అదదాత్|
But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name,
13 తేషాం జనిః శోణితాన్న శారీరికాభిలాషాన్న మానవానామిచ్ఛాతో న కిన్త్వీశ్వరాదభవత్|
who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 స వాదో మనుష్యరూపేణావతీర్య్య సత్యతానుగ్రహాభ్యాం పరిపూర్ణః సన్ సార్ధమ్ అస్మాభి ర్న్యవసత్ తతః పితురద్వితీయపుత్రస్య యోగ్యో యో మహిమా తం మహిమానం తస్యాపశ్యామ|
And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 తతో యోహనపి ప్రచార్య్య సాక్ష్యమిదం దత్తవాన్ యో మమ పశ్చాద్ ఆగమిష్యతి స మత్తో గురుతరః; యతో మత్పూర్వ్వం స విద్యమాన ఆసీత్; యదర్థమ్ అహం సాక్ష్యమిదమ్ అదాం స ఏషః|
Yukhanan testified about him. He shouted out, saying, "This was the one of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.'"
16 అపరఞ్చ తస్య పూర్ణతాయా వయం సర్వ్వే క్రమశః క్రమశోనుగ్రహం ప్రాప్తాః|
For of his fullness we all received, and grace upon grace.
17 మూసాద్వారా వ్యవస్థా దత్తా కిన్త్వనుగ్రహః సత్యత్వఞ్చ యీశుఖ్రీష్టద్వారా సముపాతిష్ఠతాం|
For the Law was given through Mushe, grace and truth came through Yeshua Meshikha.
18 కోపి మనుజ ఈశ్వరం కదాపి నాపశ్యత్ కిన్తు పితుః క్రోడస్థోఽద్వితీయః పుత్రస్తం ప్రకాశయత్|
No one has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
19 త్వం కః? ఇతి వాక్యం ప్రేష్టుం యదా యిహూదీయలోకా యాజకాన్ లేవిలోకాంశ్చ యిరూశాలమో యోహనః సమీపే ప్రేషయామాసుః,
And this is Yukhanan's testimony, when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Levites from Urishlim to ask him, "Who are you?"
20 తదా స స్వీకృతవాన్ నాపహ్నూతవాన్ నాహమ్ అభిషిక్త ఇత్యఙ్గీకృతవాన్|
And he confessed, and did not deny, but he confessed, "I am not the Meshikha."
21 తదా తేఽపృచ్ఛన్ తర్హి కో భవాన్? కిం ఏలియః? సోవదత్ న; తతస్తేఽపృచ్ఛన్ తర్హి భవాన్ స భవిష్యద్వాదీ? సోవదత్ నాహం సః|
And they asked him, "What then? Are you Eliya?" And he said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No."
22 తదా తేఽపృచ్ఛన్ తర్హి భవాన్ కః? వయం గత్వా ప్రేరకాన్ త్వయి కిం వక్ష్యామః? స్వస్మిన్ కిం వదసి?
They said therefore to him, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"
23 తదా సోవదత్| పరమేశస్య పన్థానం పరిష్కురుత సర్వ్వతః| ఇతీదం ప్రాన్తరే వాక్యం వదతః కస్యచిద్రవః| కథామిమాం యస్మిన్ యిశయియో భవిష్యద్వాదీ లిఖితవాన్ సోహమ్|
He said, "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as Eshaya the prophet said."
24 యే ప్రేషితాస్తే ఫిరూశిలోకాః|
(Now they had been sent from the Pharisees.)
25 తదా తేఽపృచ్ఛన్ యది నాభిషిక్తోసి ఏలియోసి న స భవిష్యద్వాద్యపి నాసి చ, తర్హి లోకాన్ మజ్జయసి కుతః?
And they asked him, "Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Meshikha, nor Eliya, nor the Prophet?"
26 తతో యోహన్ ప్రత్యవోచత్, తోయేఽహం మజ్జయామీతి సత్యం కిన్తు యం యూయం న జానీథ తాదృశ ఏకో జనో యుష్మాకం మధ్య ఉపతిష్ఠతి|
Yukhanan answered them, saying, "I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you do not know.
27 స మత్పశ్చాద్ ఆగతోపి మత్పూర్వ్వం వర్త్తమాన ఆసీత్ తస్య పాదుకాబన్ధనం మోచయితుమపి నాహం యోగ్యోస్మి|
He is the one who comes after me, whose sandal strap I'm not worthy to loosen."
28 యర్ద్దననద్యాః పారస్థబైథబారాయాం యస్మిన్స్థానే యోహనమజ్జయత్ తస్మిన స్థానే సర్వ్వమేతద్ అఘటత|
These things were done in Beth-Naiya across the Yurdinan, where Yukhanan was baptizing.
29 పరేఽహని యోహన్ స్వనికటమాగచ్ఛన్తం యిశుం విలోక్య ప్రావోచత్ జగతః పాపమోచకమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య మేషశావకం పశ్యత|
The next day, he saw Yeshua coming to him, and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
30 యో మమ పశ్చాదాగమిష్యతి స మత్తో గురుతరః, యతో హేతోర్మత్పూర్వ్వం సోఽవర్త్తత యస్మిన్నహం కథామిమాం కథితవాన్ స ఏవాయం|
This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who ranks ahead of me, because he existed before me.'
31 అపరం నాహమేనం ప్రత్యభిజ్ఞాతవాన్ కిన్తు ఇస్రాయేల్లోకా ఏనం యథా పరిచిన్వన్తి తదభిప్రాయేణాహం జలే మజ్జయితుమాగచ్ఛమ్|
I did not know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water: that he would be revealed to Israyel."
32 పునశ్చ యోహనపరమేకం ప్రమాణం దత్వా కథితవాన్ విహాయసః కపోతవద్ అవతరన్తమాత్మానమ్ అస్యోపర్య్యవతిష్ఠన్తం చ దృష్టవానహమ్|
And Yukhanan testified, saying, "I saw the Rukha descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.
33 నాహమేనం ప్రత్యభిజ్ఞాతవాన్ ఇతి సత్యం కిన్తు యో జలే మజ్జయితుం మాం ప్రైరయత్ స ఏవేమాం కథామకథయత్ యస్యోపర్య్యాత్మానమ్ అవతరన్తమ్ అవతిష్ఠన్తఞ్చ ద్రక్షయసి సఏవ పవిత్రే ఆత్మని మజ్జయిష్యతి|
And I did not recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water, he said to me, 'On whomever you will see the Rukha descending, and remaining on him, this is he who baptizes in the Rukha d'Qudsha.'
34 అవస్తన్నిరీక్ష్యాయమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య తనయ ఇతి ప్రమాణం దదామి|
And I have seen and have testified that this is the Chosen One of God."
35 పరేఽహని యోహన్ ద్వాభ్యాం శిష్యాభ్యాం సార్ద్ధేం తిష్ఠన్
Again, the next day, Yukhanan was standing with two of his disciples,
36 యిశుం గచ్ఛన్తం విలోక్య గదితవాన్, ఈశ్వరస్య మేషశావకం పశ్యతం|
and he looked at Yeshua as he walked, and said, "Look, the Lamb of God."
37 ఇమాం కథాం శ్రుత్వా ద్వౌ శిష్యౌ యీశోః పశ్చాద్ ఈయతుః|
And the two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Yeshua.
38 తతో యీశుః పరావృత్య తౌ పశ్చాద్ ఆగచ్ఛన్తౌ దృష్ట్వా పృష్టవాన్ యువాం కిం గవేశయథః? తావపృచ్ఛతాం హే రబ్బి అర్థాత్ హే గురో భవాన్ కుత్ర తిష్ఠతి?
And Yeshua turned and saw them following, and said to them, "What are you looking for?" They said to him, "Rabbi" (which translated means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
39 తతః సోవాదిత్ ఏత్య పశ్యతం| తతో దివసస్య తృతీయప్రహరస్య గతత్వాత్ తౌ తద్దినం తస్య సఙ్గేఽస్థాతాం|
He said to them, "Come, and you will see." They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about four in the afternoon.
40 యౌ ద్వౌ యోహనో వాక్యం శ్రుత్వా యిశోః పశ్చాద్ ఆగమతాం తయోః శిమోన్పితరస్య భ్రాతా ఆన్ద్రియః
One of the two who heard Yukhanan, and followed him, was Andreus, Shimon Kipha's brother.
41 స ఇత్వా ప్రథమం నిజసోదరం శిమోనం సాక్షాత్ప్రాప్య కథితవాన్ వయం ఖ్రీష్టమ్ అర్థాత్ అభిషిక్తపురుషం సాక్షాత్కృతవన్తః|
He first found his own brother, Shimon, and said to him, "We have found the Meshikha." (which is translated, Anointed One).
42 పశ్చాత్ స తం యిశోః సమీపమ్ ఆనయత్| తదా యీశుస్తం దృష్ట్వావదత్ త్వం యూనసః పుత్రః శిమోన్ కిన్తు త్వన్నామధేయం కైఫాః వా పితరః అర్థాత్ ప్రస్తరో భవిష్యతి|
He brought him to Yeshua. Yeshua looked at him, and said, "You are Shimon the son of Yukhanan. You shall be called Kipha" (which is translated, rock).
43 పరేఽహని యీశౌ గాలీలం గన్తుం నిశ్చితచేతసి సతి ఫిలిపనామానం జనం సాక్షాత్ప్రాప్యావోచత్ మమ పశ్చాద్ ఆగచ్ఛ|
On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galila, and he found Philipus. And Yeshua said to him, "Follow me."
44 బైత్సైదానామ్ని యస్మిన్ గ్రామే పితరాన్ద్రియయోర్వాస ఆసీత్ తస్మిన్ గ్రామే తస్య ఫిలిపస్య వసతిరాసీత్|
Now Philipus was from Beth-Sayada, of the city of Andreus and Kipha.
45 పశ్చాత్ ఫిలిపో నిథనేలం సాక్షాత్ప్రాప్యావదత్ మూసా వ్యవస్థా గ్రన్థే భవిష్యద్వాదినాం గ్రన్థేషు చ యస్యాఖ్యానం లిఖితమాస్తే తం యూషఫః పుత్రం నాసరతీయం యీశుం సాక్షాద్ అకార్ష్మ వయం|
Philipus found Nathanayil, and said to him, "We have found him of whom Mushe in the Law and the Prophets wrote: Yeshua of Natsrath, the son of Yauseph."
46 తదా నిథనేల్ కథితవాన్ నాసరన్నగరాత కిం కశ్చిదుత్తమ ఉత్పన్తుం శక్నోతి? తతః ఫిలిపో ఽవోచత్ ఏత్య పశ్య|
And Nathanayil said to him, "Can any good thing come out of Natsrath?" Philipus said to him, "Come and see."
47 అపరఞ్చ యీశుః స్వస్య సమీపం తమ్ ఆగచ్ఛన్తం దృష్ట్వా వ్యాహృతవాన్, పశ్యాయం నిష్కపటః సత్య ఇస్రాయేల్లోకః|
Yeshua saw Nathanayil coming to him, and said about him, "Look, a true Israyelite in whom there is no deceit."
48 తతః సోవదద్, భవాన్ మాం కథం ప్రత్యభిజానాతి? యీశురవాదీత్ ఫిలిపస్య ఆహ్వానాత్ పూర్వ్వం యదా త్వముడుమ్బరస్య తరోర్మూలేఽస్థాస్తదా త్వామదర్శమ్|
Nathanayil said to him, "How do you know me?" Yeshua answered him, "Before Philipus called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you."
49 నిథనేల్ అచకథత్, హే గురో భవాన్ నితాన్తమ్ ఈశ్వరస్య పుత్రోసి, భవాన్ ఇస్రాయేల్వంశస్య రాజా|
Nathanayil answered him, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God. You are King of Israyel."
50 తతో యీశు ర్వ్యాహరత్, త్వాముడుమ్బరస్య పాదపస్య మూలే దృష్టవానాహం మమైతస్మాద్వాక్యాత్ కిం త్వం వ్యశ్వసీః? ఏతస్మాదప్యాశ్చర్య్యాణి కార్య్యాణి ద్రక్ష్యసి|
Yeshua answered him, "Because I told you, 'I saw you underneath the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these."
51 అన్యచ్చావాదీద్ యుష్మానహం యథార్థం వదామి, ఇతః పరం మోచితే మేఘద్వారే తస్మాన్మనుజసూనునా ఈశ్వరస్య దూతగణమ్ అవరోహన్తమారోహన్తఞ్చ ద్రక్ష్యథ|
And he said to him, "Truly, truly, I tell you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
