ரோமிண​: 1

1 ஈஸ்²வரோ நிஜபுத்ரமதி⁴ யம்’ ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³பி⁴ ர்த⁴ர்ம்மக்³ரந்தே² ப்ரதிஸ்²ருதவாந் தம்’ ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிதும்’ ப்ரு’த²க்க்ரு’த ஆஹூத​: ப்ரேரிதஸ்²ச ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸேவகோ ய​: பௌல​:

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an Apostle, set apart to proclaim God's Good News,

2 ஸ ரோமாநக³ரஸ்தா²ந் ஈஸ்²வரப்ரியாந் ஆஹூதாம்’ஸ்²ச பவித்ரலோகாந் ப்ரதி பத்ரம்’ லிக²தி|

which God had already promised through His Prophets in Holy Writ, concerning His Son,

3 அஸ்மாகம்’ ஸ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யீஸு²​: க்²ரீஷ்ட​: ஸா²ரீரிகஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ந தா³யூதோ³ வம்’ஸோ²த்³ப⁴வ​:

who, as regards His human descent, belonged to the posterity of David,

4 பவித்ரஸ்யாத்மந​: ஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ந சேஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரபா⁴வவாந் புத்ர இதி ஸ்²மஸா²நாத் தஸ்யோத்தா²நேந ப்ரதிபந்நம்’|

but as regards the holiness of His Spirit was decisively proved by His Resurrection to be the Son of God--I mean concerning Jesus Christ our Lord,

5 அபரம்’ யேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே யீஸு²நா க்²ரீஷ்டேந யூயமப்யாஹூதாஸ்தே (அ)ந்யதே³ஸீ²யலோகாஸ்தஸ்ய நாம்நி விஸ்²வஸ்ய நிதே³ஸ²க்³ராஹிணோ யதா² ப⁴வந்தி

through whom we have received grace and Apostleship in His service in order to win men to obedience to the faith, among all Gentile peoples,

6 தத³பி⁴ப்ராயேண வயம்’ தஸ்மாத்³ அநுக்³ரஹம்’ ப்ரேரிதத்வபத³ஞ்ச ப்ராப்தா​: |

among whom you also, called, as you have been, to belong to Jesus Christ, are numbered:

7 தாதேநாஸ்மாகம் ஈஸ்²வரேண ப்ரபு⁴ணா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந ச யுஷ்மப்⁴யம் அநுக்³ரஹ​: ஸா²ந்திஸ்²ச ப்ரதீ³யேதாம்’|

To all God's loved ones who are in Rome, called to be saints. May grace and peace be granted to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 ப்ரத²மத​: ஸர்வ்வஸ்மிந் ஜக³தி யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸஸ்ய ப்ரகாஸி²தத்வாத்³ அஹம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ நிமித்தம்’ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாம க்³ரு’ஹ்லந் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய த⁴ந்யவாத³ம்’ கரோமி|

First of all, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for what He has done for all of you; for the report of your faith is spreading through the whole world.

9 அபரம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப்ரஸாதா³த்³ ப³ஹுகாலாத் பரம்’ ஸாம்ப்ரதம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபம்’ யாதும்’ கத²மபி யத் ஸுயோக³ம்’ ப்ராப்நோமி, ஏதத³ர்த²ம்’ நிரந்தரம்’ நாமாந்யுச்சாரயந் நிஜாஸு ஸர்வ்வப்ரார்த²நாஸு ஸர்வ்வதா³ நிவேத³யாமி,

I call God to witness--to whom I render priestly and spiritual service by telling the Good News about His Son-- how unceasingly I make mention of you in His presence,

10 ஏதஸ்மிந் யமஹம்’ தத்புத்ரீயஸுஸம்’வாத³ப்ரசாரணேந மநஸா பரிசராமி ஸ ஈஸ்²வரோ மம ஸாக்ஷீ வித்³யதே|

always in my prayers entreating that now, at length, if such be His will, the way may by some means be made clear for me to come to you.

11 யதோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மம ச விஸ்²வாஸேந வயம் உப⁴யே யதா² ஸா²ந்தியுக்தா ப⁴வாம இதி காரணாத்³

For I am longing to see you, in order to convey to you some spiritual help, so that you may be strengthened;

12 யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸ்தை²ர்ய்யகரணார்த²ம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ கிஞ்சித்பரமார்த²தா³நதா³நாய யுஷ்மாந் ஸாக்ஷாத் கர்த்தும்’ மதீ³யா வாஞ்சா²|

in other words that while I am among you we may be mutually encouraged by one another's faith, yours and mine.

13 ஹே ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ண பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸீ²யலோகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே யத்³வத் தத்³வத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யேபி யதா² ப²லம்’ பு⁴ஞ்ஜே தத³பி⁴ப்ராயேண முஹுர்முஹு ர்யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபம்’ க³ந்தும் உத்³யதோ(அ)ஹம்’ கிந்து யாவத்³ அத்³ய தஸ்மிந் க³மநே மம விக்⁴நோ ஜாத இதி யூயம்’ யத்³ அஜ்ஞாதாஸ்திஷ்ட²த² தத³ஹம் உசிதம்’ ந பு³த்⁴யே|

And I desire you to know, brethren, that I have many a time intended to come to you--though until now I have been disappointed--in order that among you also I might gather some fruit from my labours, as I have already done among the rest of the Gentile nations.

14 அஹம்’ ஸப்⁴யாஸப்⁴யாநாம்’ வித்³வத³வித்³வதாஞ்ச ஸர்வ்வேஷாம் ரு’ணீ வித்³யே|

I am already under obligations alike to Greek-speaking races and to others, to cultured and to uncultured people:

15 அதஏவ ரோமாநிவாஸிநாம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபே(அ)பி யதா²ஸ²க்தி ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசாரயிதும் அஹம் உத்³யதோஸ்மி|

so that for my part I am willing and eager to proclaim the Good News to you also who are in Rome.

16 யத​: க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாதோ³ மம லஜ்ஜாஸ்பத³ம்’ நஹி ஸ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸ²க்திஸ்வரூப​: ஸந் ஆ யிஹூதீ³யேப்⁴யோ (அ)ந்யஜாதீயாந் யாவத் ஸர்வ்வஜாதீயாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே ய​: கஸ்²சித்³ தத்ர விஸ்²வஸிதி தஸ்யைவ த்ராணம்’ ஜநயதி|

For I am not ashamed of the Good News. It is God's power which is at work for the salvation of every one who believes--the Jew first, and then the Gentile.

17 யத​: ப்ரத்யயஸ்ய ஸமபரிமாணம் ஈஸ்²வரத³த்தம்’ புண்யம்’ தத்ஸுஸம்’வாதே³ ப்ரகாஸ²தே| தத³தி⁴ த⁴ர்ம்மபுஸ்தகேபி லிகி²தமித³ம்’ "புண்யவாந் ஜநோ விஸ்²வாஸேந ஜீவிஷ்யதி"|

For in the Good News a righteousness which comes from God is being revealed, depending on faith and tending to produce faith; as the Scripture has it, "The righteous man shall live by faith."

18 அதஏவ யே மாநவா​: பாபகர்ம்மணா ஸத்யதாம்’ ருந்த⁴ந்தி தேஷாம்’ ஸர்வ்வஸ்ய து³ராசரணஸ்யாத⁴ர்ம்மஸ்ய ச விருத்³த⁴ம்’ ஸ்வர்கா³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய கோப​: ப்ரகாஸ²தே|

For God's anger is being revealed from Heaven against all impiety and against the iniquity of men who through iniquity suppress the truth. God is angry:

19 யத ஈஸ்²வரமதி⁴ யத்³யத்³ ஜ்ஞேயம்’ தத்³ ஈஸ்²வர​: ஸ்வயம்’ தாந் ப்ரதி ப்ரகாஸி²தவாந் தஸ்மாத் தேஷாம் அகோ³சரம்’ நஹி|

because what may be known about Him is plain to their inmost consciousness; for He Himself has made it plain to them.

20 ப²லதஸ்தஸ்யாநந்தஸ²க்தீஸ்²வரத்வாதீ³ந்யத்³ரு’ஸ்²யாந்யபி ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டிகாலம் ஆரப்⁴ய கர்ம்மஸு ப்ரகாஸ²மாநாநி த்³ரு’ஸ்²யந்தே தஸ்மாத் தேஷாம்’ தோ³ஷப்ரக்ஷாலநஸ்ய பந்தா² நாஸ்தி| (aïdios g126)

For, from the very creation of the world, His invisible perfections--namely His eternal power and divine nature--have been rendered intelligible and clearly visible by His works, so that these men are without excuse. (aïdios g126)

21 அபரம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வாபி தே தம் ஈஸ்²வரஜ்ஞாநேந நாத்³ரியந்த க்ரு’தஜ்ஞா வா ந ஜாதா​: ; தஸ்மாத் தேஷாம்’ ஸர்வ்வே தர்கா விப²லீபூ⁴தா​: , அபரஞ்ச தேஷாம்’ விவேகஸூ²ந்யாநி மநாம்’ஸி திமிரே மக்³நாநி|

For when they had come to know God, they did not give Him glory as God nor render Him thanks, but they became absorbed in useless discussions, and their senseless minds were darkened.

22 தே ஸ்வாந் ஜ்ஞாநிநோ ஜ்ஞாத்வா ஜ்ஞாநஹீநா அப⁴வந்

While boasting of their wisdom they became utter fools,

23 அநஸ்²வரஸ்யேஸ்²வரஸ்ய கௌ³ரவம்’ விஹாய நஸ்²வரமநுஷ்யபஸு²பக்ஷ்யுரோகா³மிப்ரப்⁴ரு’தேராக்ரு’திவிஸி²ஷ்டப்ரதிமாஸ்தைராஸ்²ரிதா​: |

and, instead of worshipping the imperishable God, they worshipped images resembling perishable man or resembling birds or beasts or reptiles.

24 இத்த²ம்’ த ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸத்யதாம்’ விஹாய ம்ரு’ஷாமதம் ஆஸ்²ரிதவந்த​: ஸச்சிதா³நந்த³ம்’ ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டிகர்த்தாரம்’ த்யக்த்வா ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டவஸ்துந​: பூஜாம்’ ஸேவாஞ்ச க்ரு’தவந்த​: ; (aiōn g165)

For this reason, in accordance with their own depraved cravings, God gave them up to uncleanness, allowing them to dishonour their bodies among themselves with impurity.

25 இதி ஹேதோரீஸ்²வரஸ்தாந் குக்ரியாயாம்’ ஸமர்ப்ய நிஜநிஜகுசிந்தாபி⁴லாஷாப்⁴யாம்’ ஸ்வம்’ ஸ்வம்’ ஸ²ரீரம்’ பரஸ்பரம் அபமாநிதம்’ கர்த்தும் அத³தா³த்|

For they had bartered the reality of God for what is unreal, and had offered divine honours and religious service to created things, rather than to the Creator--He who is for ever blessed. Amen. (aiōn g165)

26 ஈஸ்²வரேண தேஷு க்வபி⁴லாஷே ஸமர்பிதேஷு தேஷாம்’ யோஷித​: ஸ்வாபா⁴விகாசரணம் அபஹாய விபரீதக்ரு’த்யே ப்ராவர்த்தந்த;

This then is the reason why God gave them up to vile passions. For not only did the women among them exchange the natural use of their bodies for one which is contrary to nature, but the men also,

27 ததா² புருஷா அபி ஸ்வாபா⁴விகயோஷித்ஸங்க³மம்’ விஹாய பரஸ்பரம்’ காமக்ரு’ஸா²நுநா த³க்³தா⁴​: ஸந்த​: புமாம்’ஸ​: பும்’பி⁴​: ஸாகம்’ குக்ரு’த்யே ஸமாஸஜ்ய நிஜநிஜப்⁴ராந்தே​: ஸமுசிதம்’ ப²லம் அலப⁴ந்த|

in just the same way--neglecting that for which nature intends women--burned with passion towards one another, men practising shameful vice with men, and receiving in their own selves the reward which necessarily followed their misconduct.

28 தே ஸ்வேஷாம்’ மந​: ஸ்வீஸ்²வராய ஸ்தா²நம்’ தா³தும் அநிச்சு²காஸ்ததோ ஹேதோரீஸ்²வரஸ்தாந் ப்ரதி து³ஷ்டமநஸ்கத்வம் அவிஹிதக்ரியத்வஞ்ச த³த்தவாந்|

And just as they had refused to continue to have a full knowledge of God, so it was to utterly worthless minds that God gave them up, for them to do things which should not be done.

29 அதஏவ தே ஸர்வ்வே (அ)ந்யாயோ வ்யபி⁴சாரோ து³ஷ்டத்வம்’ லோபோ⁴ ஜிகா⁴ம்’ஸா ஈர்ஷ்யா வதோ⁴ விவாத³ஸ்²சாதுரீ குமதிரித்யாதி³பி⁴ ர்து³ஷ்கர்ம்மபி⁴​: பரிபூர்ணா​: ஸந்த​:

Their hearts overflowed with all sorts of dishonesty, mischief, greed, malice. They were full of envy and murder, and were quarrelsome, crafty, and spiteful.

30 கர்ணேஜபா அபவாதி³ந ஈஸ்²வரத்³வேஷகா ஹிம்’ஸகா அஹங்காரிண ஆத்மஸ்²லாகி⁴ந​: குகர்ம்மோத்பாத³கா​: பித்ரோராஜ்ஞாலங்க⁴கா

They were secret backbiters, open slanderers; hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful; inventors of new forms of sin, disobedient to parents, destitute of common sense,

31 அவிசாரகா நியமலங்கி⁴ந​: ஸ்நேஹரஹிதா அதித்³வேஷிணோ நிர்த³யாஸ்²ச ஜாதா​: |

faithless to their promises, without natural affection, without human pity.

32 யே ஜநா ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ கர்ம்ம குர்வ்வந்தி தஏவ ம்ரு’தியோக்³யா ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய விசாரமீத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வாபி த ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ கர்ம்ம ஸ்வயம்’ குர்வ்வந்தி கேவலமிதி நஹி கிந்து தாத்³ரு’ஸ²கர்ம்மகாரிஷு லோகேஷ்வபி ப்ரீயந்தே|

In short, though knowing full well the sentence which God pronounces against actions such as theirs, as things which deserve death, they not only practise them, but even encourage and applaud others who do them.
